Overall rating: 4.4
There’s a weird juxtaposition when you find yourself in a “warehouse” type setting in the middle of midtown. Like, I felt like I should have been in Bushwick.
Rating is driven by service & price. I really enjoyed the experience. But I likely won’t be coming back again.
I chose the shooting & spinning experience for my birthday hoping to live out my Princess Diaries fantasy of shooting a balloon filled with paint. For 4 people, we paid ~$60ea. What they don’t tell you or it wasn’t clear when we paid is that the cost was for 1 (ONE) canvas. They let you buy additional canvas’ a la cart when you get there. But we’ve already paid $60 each..
As I mentioned, the experience itself was very nice and fun. We had our own room scheduled and there was music jamming. So the energy was there. I just wish we each got our own canvas at the price we paid. 🫠
Had to knock down some points on service too. A little unclear if I had a fluke experience. When I initially got there, I had to call to open the door after I couldn’t figure out the buzzer. But when I went to pick up the artwork- when I called, the woman was very rude & told me I had to use the buzzer. And listen, I have lived in nyc for over 10 years so I’m okay with a little rude. But this woman had such an attitude that it rubbed me the wrong way. When I told her I didn’t want to sit down while waiting for my artwork & just stood in the area, she made some remarks under her breath that was unnecessary. I’m sorry I sat on the train for an hour to get there?
I read the other 5-star experiences & I’m thinking maybe this is better for kids (or tourists that haven’t been to Brooklyn). Either way,...
Read moreOur nephew had a wonderful time doing this life size spin art! Our instructor was great with him and he kept letting him use more paint when he ran out! It was a lot of fun and we love how the canvas came out. The shoe coverings were great but we were disappointed in the rest of the coverage. In photos we saw people in ponchos. Instead we had plastic aprons that dipped too low and left most of our shirt open to get paint splattered on. If we knew that we, would’ve brought our own ponchos. They also didn’t have adult sized gloves readily available. The ones in the room didn’t fit me or my husband. Our instructor was able to find us some out of the room, but both sizes should be easy to find. We were also disappointed that there were no paper towels or even cloths to use when cleaning up. We wet my nephew’s arms to get the paint off and there were no more bathroom paper towels. We asked the woman at the front and she told us sorry they have nothing because their shipments come on Mondays. This was a Sunday. We were shocked that a paint place had nothing to use to help us clean up besides a sink! How could they be so tight on supplies that they don’t have enough paper towels...

“I want to start by saying that your team eventually did refund me and offered the experience for free, which I appreciate. My girlfriend and I came out happy in the end — but only after I had to chase the issue myself. That’s why I can’t give 5 stars.”
I had booked an experience as a surprise and brought my girlfriend all the way from Philadelphia for it. We arrived on time and waited over 20 minutes outside your location, only to find no one there — no sign, no email, no call. Nothing.
I had to call multiple departments in different states (NY, LA, TX) just to get a response. Eventually, someone told me there had been a “technical problem” and that I would receive a refund.
Frankly, this was incredibly disappointing. It wasn’t just a scheduling issue — it disrupted a special moment I had carefully planned. The lack of communication was disrespectful and avoidable. I recommend the experience itself, but I sincerely hope your team improves communication so no one else has to go through...
