What a cool place! They have a science museum for kids up front, and a glassblowing facility in the back. Also a nice gift shop with creations made by workers and volunteers.
We came to take a glass fusing session, which was very reasonably priced. They were well organized and provided everything we needed for the project, including cutters, tweezers, bowls, sharpies, etc. The volunteers were very helpful and knew what they were doing, very warm and friendly and chatty, too (but not too much to be distracting).
The whole atmosphere was fascinating - they blew glass while we were there, and all the scraps and shards go into the bowls from which you can pick your pieces for your project, so nothing is wasted. Plus they have pieces on display, and so many impressive ones that make us go, "WOW!"
A gem of a place. We will definitely be back for more...

Less busy and less people. I felt like I could let my kids play without worries about them getting lost. I gave it a 4 out of 5 due to the lack of a public eating space. We had to walk outside and go across the commons to another public building to eat our packed lunch. There was also only a few bathrooms which is hard...

Kimberly in guest services was all flustered and irritated because people “coming in at the last minute”, I came in 20 minutes before closing time to do what should’ve been a simple task, but there was confusion on how to complete said task. It was very uncomfortable for everyone involved, to feel like we were inconveniencing someone by giving them our business.
Maybe if this establishment was open for better hours then people wouldn’t “all wait til the last minute”,...
