I have been meaning to submit this important review for a while.
I stayed at the hotel for a total of 3 months back in September, October and November 2022.
The rioms were very clean yet sometimes I would smell mold, which was a concern.
The staff, overall, was kind and pleasant, yet not as consistent with their kindness as time went on with my stay.
I went out of my way to tip the staff regularly yet at one point I was accused of stealing a cheap plastic towel container that sat by the sink.
Can you imagine. It is actually hilarious, especially since the maid, Ms Virginia found because she had accidentally thrown it in the garbage.
Was I given an apology. No I was not.
The front desk staff was not always the kindest and the manager referred to as Vic, seemed to have a personal issue with me.
I came back to stop and visit an acquaintance who was staying in the hotel late January 2023.
He invited me to get breakfast that morning yet Vic chastised me because I was not a registered guest.
Extremely rude to me in front of other guests.
Later that year in late April or early May of 2023, I was visiting Newnan and my parents dropped me off to get myself a room.
They were on their way to Atlanta.
I had forgotten to have my mother give me her credit card to pay.
Although Vic's car was parked at the hotel and I could see him in his office his front staff lady, who knew me somewhat. I cannot recall her name but she spoke very little English
Vic had always kept my mother's credit card on file for me and being that he was pretending not to be there and holding a personal resentment for me, I was unable to secure a room for me.
I even had my mother by phone waiting to approve the rental of the room, yet the manager in his definite disrespect for me and mother was disgusting by his refusing to show up at the front desk while having his staff member lie to me.
I literally had to walk to the Marriott hotel where they had my mother's credit card on file.
Fortunately they were able to help me out of the cold and pouring rain for a seven day stay. Thank goodness.
With the amount of money spent at the Quality Inn for the months I was there in 2023; mind you without any discounts whatsoever by Vic, you would think this incredulous cruel manager would have shown kindness to me and my family.
I believe he resented me for the fact that my family was very comfortable financially and known in the city of Newnan as such.
My parents had moved in 2022 when I began staying at the hotel.
I was having major problems with my car and the mechanic was within walking distance, otherwise I would not have stayed at the hotel.
My parents even came to visit a couple of times for a night here and there and Vic could have been professional or courteous enough to provide them with a discount.
Being that I come from a long generation of entrepreneurs on my paternal side of the family trust me when I say, Vic comes across as someone lacking in management skills and definitely a narcissistic lacking empathy or sympathy.
Shame on Vic and Quality Inn Newnan.
If I am not mistaken, and trust me I am not, Vic was part of nepotism which allowed him to have the management position he holds.
Being that he treated me and my wonderfully loved and well respected family name like dirt, we will never spend our money with this disgraceful over priced hotel ever again.
Regretfully...
Read moreWhat was supposed to be a nice surprise trip ended up being absolutely miserable. I was traveling to visit my daughter who just moved to the area and, as I always stay at choice hotels, this was only minutes from her place so I thought this was a win win. So it was myself, another daughter and her 2 young children. From the outside, the hotel looked nice. When you walk inside, it was adequate. The young lady behind the desk (who was always the only one there) had a smile and was pleasant. The room (103) was in need of serious updating. The paint was peeling, there was scribbling and something that looked like dried blood on the wall, there were screws sticking out of the wall above the beds. There was mold in the shower along with peeling paint and the bathroom is smaller than a closet. We had planned on using the pool for the kids and were never told that the pool was closed ( it was 90+ degrees out). The fitness center was a nightmare. It had a horrible, nauseating smell. All the equipment was unplugged and someone had left food and coffee in a cup holder on one of the machines.Breakfast was the standard but was just barely warm. The older woman who was the breakfast host was chatty and pleasant to everyone except us the first day. The second day we tried to say good morning, she responded back and then promptly disappeared as we were the only people out there. The milk had ran out and my grandson wanted more. We had to wait for 20 minutes and some other guests to come in before she returned. The beds were absolutely horrible. They were lumpy and so uncomfortable, I woke up sore every day. On the day of checkout, the fire alarm went off. No one was leaving so my daughter went to the desk to ask if everything was alright. She was told that it goes off randomly and that they just shut it off and that everything was fine. (That would have been nice to know). And to top it off, as we were packing up, we found a roach on the wall. Overall, it was just a bad experience. I am very disappointed that this hotel is a part of the choice family. There is just a level of expectations that I am used to from staying within the chain, and unfortunately, this one didn't...
Read moreI made a reservation for Tuesday 11/28/17 – Wed. 11/29/17. Upon checking in to the hotel, the front desk employee was not at the front desk. She had to come in from the outside near the doors leading to the exit by the pool. The man checking in who entered before me explained to her that the lobby smelled like marijuana. She indicated that she couldn’t smell it. I also stated that it smelled very strong throughout the entire lobby. As I had been driving into the parking lot I had driven in through the back prior to entering the front parking lot and had seen two employees (male and a female) who appeared to be smoking what appeared to be a joint. I assume this is why the front lobby smelled so very strong of marijuana. She then gave me a room on the 3rd floor and explained that the hotel rooms were smoke free so I should not be able to smell it from there. After getting to my room, I realized that the 2 extra towels and 2 extra pillows I had requested during my online reservations had not been put in my room. I attempted to call the front desk, but no one answered the front desk telephone line. I went and took a shower, then again tried the front desk telephone line twice and again no one answered the number. My boyfriend arrived and asked for the towels upon arriving, but had to wait at the front desk, because the front desk employee was not at the front desk. She was eating somewhere in another area. We ordered delivery for dinner and then found out that their refrigerator didn’t work, so I’m sure that since their house-cleaners just ignored the broken refrigerator, then the old food will just sit there until the next guests arrive. (Wasting all of our leftover food,) Also when I pulled the sheets down, I found a gross stain on the fitted sheet. I called again down to the front desk multiple times. I would say in all I called the front desk from the time I checked in until 11:00 p.m. at least 15 times and never once received an answer. I never was able to get clean sheets, so my boyfriend and I slept on the flat sheet and took our chances and prayed the blanket was...
