Wow, while visiting North Bend, I discovered this wonderful little coffee shop/café. What a gem! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the barista was happy to tell me about their offerings and help me decide. They gave a variety of things to eat (including some vegan/gf pastries) in addition to delicious coffee, tea, and other drinks. I loved my latte with a chocolate chip banana muffin! Oh, and don't be discouraged by the construction, because parking is easy in a gravel lot on the same side of the street a little ways down. Highly recommended!

Gem of a local spot in North Bend. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Catch up with a friend, meet a date, or get some work done, this is the perfect spot! Didn’t order food, but my Mexican coffee was perfect after my Barista kindly asked if I would like to add some spice! Exactly what I needed to kickstart my morning. Coffee was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy without taking away from the natural boldness of my coffee!

Oh my God! The best quiche I've ever had. The almond horns are amazing, too. My wife and I come here a few times a week and have always experienced excellent service and a great vibe that's welcoming and warm. I really love the music, too—a super-eclectic mix that makes me feel right at home. Hartwood is a definite must if you're ever out this way. Oh... and I almost forgot, the coffee is top notch, sincerely!

I've had a weird experience today at Hartwood. I ordered my squash bread, and 16oz iced chai, and decided to have it "for here". The staff was very nice, professional, welcoming, and I was having a relaxing time. I often go out for chai on a daily basis, and Hartwood is one of my frequent establishments. As soon as I finished, I disposed of my beverage, and now empty dish, and decided to read my book in the "living room with the fireplace".

At around 2-3pm I was relaxing, and enjoying my book, until a blonde-haired woman (wearing a beret) asked me, "What are doing here?". I was under the impression that it was closing early, or that I lost track of time (due to how long I was reading), but then she asked me, "Did you order anything?". I told her, "Yes, I ordered an iced chai". Which then she responded, "How long ago?". It kind of felt like I was being interrogated.

Then I left.

Response to the owner: I appreciate the response. I had no idea the toys were even there to begin with. If I had been told from the very start, I would've gladly moved them out of the way. I did cooperate, and I did sit upright, but, at the same time, I left feeling stressed, and emotionally unbalanced. I didn't know the reasoning behind it, so I ended up hating myself on the way home. Because of this, I don't think I'll be back in the...

Hartwood Cafe is my go-to spot in North Bend. It is cozy, eclectic, and the perfect spot to read, study, or catch up on emails. Don’t be fooled by its small, street front location either - there’s plenty of parking in the gravel lot behind the cafe. The food is delicious - I highly recommend a slice of their seasonal quiches or one of their breakfast burritos! The pastries are also a treat as well - my favorites have been the almond horn, pecan sticky bun, and the maple scone. Their drink specials are fun and tasty, and their menu staples are also good choices - ask for a dirty chai and you won’t be disappointed! My one note: I do wish that the coffee was stronger - the prices are a little on the high end and I prefer a stronger drink to match that cost. Overall I highly recommend Hartwood to both locals and those stopping in from...

I have met my sister at this location for years, first as Pioneer Voffee, then Vintage Girls, maybe even a third name, but now...

Hartwood Cafe This coffee shop has morphed into the ideal coffeeshop with great beverages, delicious baked goods, and that slightly Bohemian coffee shop vibe that invites friends to linger over their favorite beverage with their favorite people. The people behind the counter have all been so welcoming. So, call a friend and have them meet you at the Heartwood Cafe...order a sandwich, a savory baked good, or, if you have a sweet tooth, try and decide which treat to order. You can...
