Players Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in North Lauderdale

I love this place! However, I ran into a little problem! My fiance, his brother, his friend, and I visited the bar on 11/04/2016 (1am - 1:30a). Our waitress was Meme/Mimi. At first she seemed to be an alright person until she tried to overcharge us when we were trying to place a new order for wings. She stated we had an open tab and this wasn't true. I advised her that we didn't have an open tab because every time we ordered something I made sure the tab was closed at the point. If the manager rolls the cameras back he or she will see that this chic was paid every single time whether by card or cash. I know the scheme some of these bartenders play and for this reason I didn't want to keep an open tab. We suggested the camera be looked at and that never happened. However, my brother in law goes and pays her more money just to keep down confusion even though he knew we had already paid. We are not thieves and don't like being called one. She told me that she accidentally mixed our tab up with another group's tab but she would handle it and then she walked around as if someone had done her wrong. She was very unprofessional and sneaky!!!...

Update: they added 18% gratuity when I was already tipping my part..what really what made me make this update 5/24/25, The waitresses like to keep your money because I'm not paying 18%gruity for you to hold my card open when I'm already tipping on the weekends it's a club atmosphere not a damn restaurant.. I gave the waitress a $20 bill (after I already bought 3 drink)and she act like she didn't want to come back with my change, I know the drinks went up but I still pay my part.. as of lately I don't go there as much as I used to used to be a every weekend thing but now I go only on NFL seasons even the cool bouncers was like damn boy I ain't see you in a minute now I just go to my Jamaican spots with a drinks are 7 to $10 And also it used to be $10 to get in on the weekends now it's 20.. I come there through the week and eat I even stopped coming through a week because they're charging me $20 to go in and now nobody's not even in there no more like they used to be.. Iove all the tvs the space but damn.. I miss my old waitress these new ones you got to keep your cup because they will try to charge you for drinks...

Players has gone downwards over the years due to poorly implemented business ideas by its owner, Bernadette. The latest poor decision involves changing the hours for free pool, from 12-7pm (as every other establishment offers during off hours to attract business) to 12-5pm. This short-sighted business decision didn't factor in the loss of revenue during those 2 hours. Kudos for ensuring the tables were finally fixed and worth playing on for $12.00 an hour. I see the menu has some updated items. It's about time. The menu hasn't been updated in almost 15 years. (I've been coming here for 12, I know.) The pool tables should go back to 7pm Bernadette. Please stop with the poorly thought-out business decisions that impact your customers and your revenue. There's no way you haven't been told this before... and if you haven't, it's time to get some new business development going. I do this for a living, I'll do it for my favorite business for a few beers. Time to grow Players into something better Bernie.
