I booked through a 3rd party and let me tell you the photos are a huge scam looks nothing like the photos well maybe when they first opened lol but not now walk in to the lobby filthy not welcoming at all front desk staff not welcoming at all either I checked in made my way to the elevator on my way to the elevator there was an empty what looked like it had never been open gift shop photos on site are a big fat lie get to the elevator sketchy get to my floor stunk so bad hotel is suppose to be non smoking that's a lie it smelled so bad of cigarettes so gross ,my room bleach smell was so strong like they was trying to cover something up like to give the illusion of they cleaned but didn't TV was difficult to figure out so I tried to call guest services no answer tried calling several times no answer checked out the bathroom hair dryer didn't work towels were dirty had hair on them tried once again several times to call guest services no answer traveling with my best friend she was checking out the bathtub check if they had good water pressure and nice and hot water turned on the water couldn't turn off the water the nob just kept turning couldn't get it to turn off tried calling guest services again several times no one would answer went to the hallway to find help found help house keeper called Maintenance on the walkie 2 times no response so I went back in my room waited a few called several more times for help it just rang and rang no answer so I wentback down to the front desk stood there to the side of the desk waiting g for the lady to acknowledge me and ask if there was anything I needed she never even looked at me so a security guard walked by and I told him about the broken faucet he was able to get the lady's attention and tell her she needed to get Maintenance to my room I said thank you and made my way back to my room my friend said they got the faucet to turn off we tried calling guest services several more times still no answer at this point I had had enough I told my friend to pack up our stuff I'm going back to the front desk and getting a refund we are going somewhere else this whole situation took 2hours went down to the front desk told the lady I wanted a refund I'm not stay here she said since I booked through a 3rd party I would have to contact them they will contact us and give the approval for a refund I said ok I put a deposit down I asked the lady what about my deposit she said everything is all set I could go I'm standing there confused like no that's not it she asked me if I wanted a receipt I said um yes she printed the paper showing my refund for the deposit she marked out something on the receipt I said what did u mark out she said the price that was between the hotel and Expedia I was like ok that's weird but whatever I just wanted to get the hell out that nasty hotel spoke with Expedia about getting my refund they have attempted to contact the hotel several times and so have I no one has answered the phone to get my refund approval this place is absolutely disgusting and very unprofessional how can u run a hotel and not answer your phone ...I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!! SO IF PLAZA HOTEL HAPPENS TO READ THIS YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HOTEL IN ORDER THEIR NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE WHEN PEOPLE CALL !!! so many issues I could go on and on please fix this and get me my refund this is ridiculous... still haven't received my deposit back yet either it's been 6days

I DIDNT STAY I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND FOUND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IS NASTY DISGUSTING I WANT MY MONEY BACK EXPEDIA AS ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT YOUR HOTEL TO GET APPROVAL FOR MY REFUND AND NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONES THERE I HAVE CALLED AND CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SO AS EXPEDIA NO ONE ANSWERS SO HOW ABOUT YOU GET ON THE PHONE OR WHATEVER AND APPOVE MY REFUND AND GIVE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK TOO THIS IS RIDICULOUS !!! IM GOING TO CONTACT A LAWYER IF I DONT RECIEVE MY MONEY BACK SOON ITS BEEN A WEEK FIX...

Where do I begin. I rented a room on 11-12-24. My 1st room was 111 that night. This room had 1 inch of sewer water from the left side of my room... (What was left on the floor was damaged and wet. Let me not forget that part. So I went to the front desk and mention the room was stinky and flooded by the way it's almost 1am. Then I was moved to another room 357. After waiting 15 min the security guard that was downstairs at the door brought me the room key didn't bother checking the room before I entered at this point I'm tired upset and just wanna get this night over with..the security guy leaves I walk in..to find no sheets in the beds and no television in the room just to add to my aggravation. This time I called the front desk cause I am fatigued carrying my items dry and wet... The room 357 is like the end of the hotel and I was just fatigued at this point. Then they said we'll okay we will accommodate you to a better room at this point I was even surprised they had higher end rooms in this hotel so my next room as 537. I get to this room and it had a bad smell and notice the AC wasn't on...so after 5 min I realized that in this room the AC was working....so I recorded in disbelief that this can't be happening. I just gave up cause I had to be at this meeting in the morning. Woke up went to desk mention to a new person everything I went thru. No sorry No consideration from the receptionist. All she said was give me your name and number and I'll have my manager reach out to you...WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE THAT WAS. cause it's been till now 12-19-24 I have not received a call...remind you I called the 15 and I was told the manager was in a meeting (lol) today before I wrote this review I called again requesting management and guess who was at another meeting (guess) yup that's right the Famous Manager. Can't find a corporate number. I need everyone to see this review and use this for your benefits to not waste your time going there....sorry for me venting out. 1 more thing if the door wasn't locked in the morning the cleaning would of had a free show... Didn't bother knocking just open the door seen it was locked and left...I don't even know if it was a random person or the cleaning people ..I was in...

They know this place is a work in progress, but they’re putting in the sweat equity to get it there.

The vibe? Think “luxury with a side of street smarts.” You’ve got the marble floors and the chandelier flex in the lobby, but you’re also in a spot where you feel the heartbeat of the hood. Either way, it keeps things interesting, and you can’t say that about every hotel restaurant.

It’s where we started in South Florida, and while it’s not perfect, it’s ours.
