Read morei reached out as anyone can do no responses . Would give zero if possible. Walking back to room, the worst smell of stale smoke and maybe vomit or even just a room closed up with stale smell of combined smoke and sweat? Not sure also upon opening the shared room , pitch black ( it is reasonable that someone would use such hostel for a very late arrival and few hours rest to be back at the airport in a few hours ) unable to see anything in the room no light or indication of which bed would be assigned so if someone else came in later from a flight they could be getting up or on an occupied bed or sit on someones FACE :(. Their was enough time , lots of time, and early enough to have at least one light or directional for the bed to be occupied. The bad smell though and poor conditions just required a turn around and a quick call to UBER to get back....................................NOTE udate, within 20 mins of my request for refund, having not stayed (I literally opened the door and could not see anything and closed the door and left) I and Booking.com received the following........."However, after thoroughly checking our records and speaking with our on-site staff, we can confirm that no other guests reported any issues regarding unpleasant odors during that period. Additionally, our housekeeping and maintenance teams conduct regular inspections to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of our accommodations. There is no evidence to support the guest’s claim, and it appears they are attempting to obtain a refund without valid grounds. The guest checked in but did not bring up any complaints directly to our staff or request assistance before leaving.............................THis is incorrect, ......I did ask if I could switch locations or get to the hotel which has the same entrance, the guy with the injured had at the entrance was untruthful, I was told NO and I see that is not possible to pay a difference, although the smell in the hallway would have had me thinking twice, the little sitting area in a garden was very appealing and positive for me as i started down that smelly hallway with heavy glass doors to open to get to the hostel (about two glass doors)...................................... They skirt the truth with deception. See how well they did not confirm as my UBER DRIVER DARWIN will attest, that I left within 10mins of getting there. See how they say I checked in and that I said nothing all lies. I guess while waiting for the driver to return and was standing right in front the gentleman at the front with the injured arm that we were just "shooting the breeze" and enjoying small talk ( while I was inside trying to figure out what I would do to be ready for appointment in the morning, I just stood there and did not say why I was standing there? No I def said of the smell walking from the front through AT LEAST TWO GLASS DOORS TO PULL OR PUSH OPEN to get to the HOSTEL (not mentioned on booking that it is a hotel as well that you walk thru and go to the funky hall to get to the rooms in the back ) thank goodness I had no heavy bags. YIKES, I hope Booking.com drops this. While it has Diego's name on it, it doesn't seem any real questions were asked and I wonder who he got on a phone in 20 mins and a response written in that time. I stood for at least 10mins while phone calls were being answered and the person in front me taken care of . This is clear from the fact that they never mention that I did LEAVE within 10 mins of getting there. The gentleman at the front def did not speak the truth. Sad to say. IF that funky smell in the hallway which was a mixture of stall smoke and a room closed for a decade or more, except it was in the hallway divided and enclosed by heavy glass doors that is enough for me to say RUN LIKE THE WIND. I only booked cause it was on BOOKING.COM. So now we cannot even trust that. LETS just close this HORROR with a quote from PRICELINE REVIEW of this location :)" Nov 2024 CONS Persons smoking in the corridors Traveling as...
Would not recommend even if you're just in the area for some interviews! Female staff were very rude to me and especially other Anglophone guests, and they were not warm, friendly, helpful or kind like Front Desk staff should naturally be towards customers paying their wages in a resort, hotel, motel, or hostel. Had my watch, that was purchased in 2016 (8 yrs old), stolen when left near my bed and found my smartphone was unplugged, moved and tampered with while charging and was sleeping. They had cameras all over the place like a prison yard for horny, lonely, voyeur DOC workers and also inside the hostel bedrooms (no joke) but would, conveniently, not access or review them when something was stolen like a typical entrapment ploy. After complaining others showed up and coincidentally started leaving their valuables like watches, wallets, money laying around hoping to catch/entrap somebody. Duhhh....then I was placed near the supposed manager/owner and he was doing video calls in the shared room then purposely aiming their motion detected, interior, bedroom camera, mounted on desk at the bathroom when I was exiting the bathroom after a shower. I had already said it was rude and disturbing and he said he was allowed to. Definitely not normal GM, managerial or straight man type behavior towards a guest in town visiting. Super creepy! Tried complaining to the front desk and they told me to call a number and got a voicemail service, tried emailing and got no response. Very, very poor customer service, badly trained and inexperienced front desk staff, and the breakfast (a fruit, waffle maker, bread, cereal) was there one day then half there the next. The pool was also closed and needed chemicals or repairs also. They also rent their BBQ grill per an hourly rate which didn't/doesn't get used except by their own staff or friends of staff. Who "rents" a grill at a hotel for an...
Read moreDo not stay at this hostel. As soon as we arrived at the hostel we didn’t know if we were in the right place or not as the hostel was not advertised anywhere as it’s inside of a hotel which is very strange . At one point of our stay we were getting ready to head out for the day around 11am when house keeping knocked on the door wanting to clean the room and told us we had to leave. We asked them if we could just have 5 minutes to finish off getting dressed then would happily leave to which we got confronted by the hostel manager who came into our female only dorm saying we had to leave immediately so they could clean the room as it’s in the house rules you’re not allowed to be in the room while they clean it which we later on checked and it doesn’t say that in the rules anywhere. He came into the room on FaceTime to another man while we were getting dressed and kept the door open to the corridor while people were walking past and stood waiting with the cleaner until we left the room. Another thing was the key cards to the rooms kept not working so we had to constantly go up to reception and get our cards changed so we could get inside our room. The rooms didn’t have a main light so would be very dark which made it difficult to get ready or see anything. Towels would get taken everyday (even if they were clean) and not be replaced so we had to go to reception everyday for a new towel which was annoying. The manager would also come into our room repeatedly saying he was doing room checks and once accused us of bringing men into the room saying he just watched them come in which wasn’t true as it was just us in there asleep. Overall it was one of the worst stays we’ve had at a hostel and just seemed very...
