I gave Orlando Palm hotel 3 stars it does have potential to become a four-star hotel but it's not there yet. When I checked in the lady I spoke to had excellent customer service extremely funny which was wonderful for a change. I got to the room and it was very nice but it was very comfortable pillows were nice bathroom was clean. Parking lots clean the lobby was clean lots of places to see if you want to eat breakfast or just hang out they had a business with one computer you could use they have an exercising room if you need to work out. But I told us before I got to the hotel on the first day that I had allergies to strong perfumes could they use non perfume products to clean the room. She like every other hotel said they use non perfume products in all the rooms automatically. This is not true when I walked into the room I got a face full of perfume smell all over my face I breathe that in and you know if you have allergies what happens when you're allergic to perfume it's not pretty I don't feel good for 2 days I'm just not happy. And I had a job interview on top of that and not feeling well was not a good thing. After 2 days the smell went away and thankfully nobody came into my room to try and refreshing up the room so I didn't have to worry anymore of the perfume smell. I like to walk around barefoot. They had a carpet on the floor I walked around this is how bad it is when you get in the shower and turn on the shower and the water on the floor is all black. Because your feet are dirty now because the carpet was dirty and every time you walk on the carpet you look at the bottom of your feet it's all black. So I'm not a black person my skin is not dark but I'm also not fair skin white. And my feet still turn pitch black the color black of a color crayon. Carpet needs to be shampooed. The other thing is they only have one microwave and it's in the lobby for the entire hotel to use. This was extremely inconvenient. I like my microwave to be in the room so I can cook my food in private. My boss called me into work and I couldn't get out on time to check out. So I called the hotel they told me I had to go on booking.com and book another night. I wasn't understanding this. I couldn't be back for the 11:00 check out but I did check out later which was at 12:00 I believe. And there was a different lady there and she was nice she said I checked out early so there's no charge and I explained my situation that the lady on the phone that I talked to said that had to buy another night in order to hold the room so I could probably check out. Otherwise late checkout is over $20 extra. But she wasn't giving me the extended our of checking out late price she was making me go through booking.com and booked another night I didn't even stay the night. The front desk lady was going to tell her boss but it's a 50-50 chance if they give me a refund for not staying that extra night. The other thing I don't like about this hotel is all the extra prices you have to pay for breakfast you have to pay for drinks and snacks which probably normal if it was a vending machine. But there wasn't one there was just the lady behind the desk selling them behind the desk. It's an extra price for everything you used in the hotel that's not the room or in the room already. Luckily I had my own toilet paper because I knew I ran out and I had my own shampoos and conditioners so I didn't have to use their product and they don't charge me extra. I don't like this that have to make three different purchases on booking.com in order to stay at the specific hotel they couldn't just put it all on one credit card and taxes just one time I had to pay and pay taxes three times and I don't think this was worth all that money. It's a nice place but I need some work on many levels to become a four star. And greed should not be in this hotel it should be all included in one price and not in individual separate prices it's just too much money that makes this hotel not worth staying at because of...
Read moreAfter arrival at the hotel we decided to take a shower, only to realized the heat was not working and couldn't shower because the water was extremely cold. My husband said to inform front desk in morning because only one person was on duty that night.
My husband went to her a number of Times to relate the issue. I went to the front desk on the fifth time to complain. She told me someone will contact me.
At 11.36am on 16.04.25, no Orlando palms staff contacted me or front desk on how to resolve the issue. The only information I received from reception was the manager is aware and is at a meeting.
We sat in the lobby waiting for someone to speak with us because the manager's meeting was too important to address hotel's guest concerns.
Almost 1pm we spoke with the manager who informed us it was an engineering issue and she came out at 6am. Ofcourse the front desk staff had us sitting there without communicating any information to us when she was fully aware of what the real issue was.
Fast forward one week later, we checked out on 21.04.25. We requested later check out on the morning. The reception wrote the time on paper that room 223 will be leaving at 2pm.
Minutes to 12 someone was knocking at out door as we were organizing to leave. The rude woman said it's almost 12pm and you are still here. And this rude, untrained woman was your house keeping supervisor, very disrespectful and a poor representation of Orlando Palms Hotel.
I told her we requested a later check out. She said it's almost 12pm. My husband then told her we informed front desk we leaving at 2pm. Your house keeping manager didn't apologize for her hostile mannerism, she just said she don't have that on her paper. I told her she need to communicate with reception. When we checked out, front desk told us we had until 2pm. So obviously there is a problem with your house keeping manager not following up with reception on late check outs.
Now I recognize you are trying to provide economy service at your hotel but can I suggest you try to improve on your customer service because it is the worst I have ever experienced.
My husband and I are paying customers, who stayed at your hotel for the third time. Your staff had us sitting and waiting around without any feedback on the water issue. Was our our needs not important for the manager to take a minute from the meeting to speak to a dissatisfied client because clearly the receptionist was not given that function. We lost almost an entire day without water or any rebate or courtesy.
Additional, on our checkout your house keeper manager had the most arrogant attitude. She was imposing and spoke to us as if we stayed at your hotel for free. Clearly there are communication issues within your hotel staff and I suggest you do a workshop of customer service and train all of them especially the house keeping manager. She came...
Read more⚠️READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE BOOKING⚠️ If I could give this 0 stars I would. The lights were out and the room was gross and I am the type of person who never leaves negative reviews and always assumed if there was a bad experience someone must of just been having a bad day. However that was not this case at this hotel. It first started when I called the day before. The lady on the phone at the front desk was very very rude. Which is not the worst part of the trip but once again I always give people grace and just assume they are having a bad day or didn’t intend their tone to sound like that. When my friend tried to check in she was very disrespectful towards her and wouldn’t let her check in until I got there. My friend comes back later because she’s a young girl alone and doesn’t want to be out all night so she decided to wait for me in the lobby until I get off my flight and uber over. There was a man working the front desk now he had her call me to verify it was my room and then gave her they room keys. He was very inappropriate towards my friend making comments about how she looked and what she was wearing. I arrive and just walk in because he was helping another guest. Later that night we door dashed dinner and when we came down to get it he was flirting and being very inappropriate towards my friend saying things like if she wanted to hangout she could and got our number out of the computer and called and said “when he got off she could come back down so they could go hangout”. Mind you this man is old enough to be our father. The next night he turned our room keys off and said when we came down to get them fixed “it’s almost as if someone turned them off so you would have to come talk to me” then he continues to say “I don’t want to be unprofessional but I feel like you want me like I want you.” and my friend tried to kindly brush him off but he must of not got the message because we woke up to note he wrote under our room door with a message saying his name and number and “Just to see you smile again”. After telling the front office lady she was very nice and said she would tell her manager however when the manager came out to apologize and assure us this will never happen again it was as if she was reading from a script. Then calls us 30 minutes later after we left to say that the phone number didn’t match the one they had on file for the guy. So I call the number. It’s a text dial number that you can get off an app. So it seems like he’s done this before to know to do that. Very upsetting as two young girls to be put into an uncomfortable situation and then to have the manager try and say that the note didn’t come from him when he was the only male we saw in the hotel our whole trip. So hopefully the fire him and figure out a better way to choose their employees because something really bad could...
