RUN! Do Not stay here! Our room (315) smelled STRONGLY of Raid bug spray and was this odd cavernous dorm -like set up. It had weird finishes and seemed haphazardly recently renovated. The transition strip between the floor and carpet was ripped away, BUT the reason we left after one hour involved the occupants above us. They came “home” at 10 and immediate we hear running, jumping, stomping above us.
Knowing that children can be excited after a long day, I was patient and waited for the adults in the room to settle them and get them to stop running. Nope! After half an hour I got dressed, went down to the desk and very politely asked for another room. There were none but she did say she would speak to them. Honestly, when I went down there, she did not look surprised, and now after reading some recent reviews this past week, these may be the same people who caused disturbances earlier in the week.
I got back on the elevator and some random guy hopped on asking me if I could hear his dog barking. 🤷🏻♀️. “ He barks for 20 minutes when I leave but then he stops.” Ummm no, but glad to know we didn’t hear that. He got off on the 2nd floor- which had this funky smell that I don’t even want to guess about the origin.
The stomping, running INCREASED and at one point, some sort of toy with wheels on the hard surface rolling back and forth was being enjoyed at 11:00 pm at night. Our room was shaking ( seems like some joists in the wall need to be checked. Is it even safe?). The electrical panel in our room suddenly popped open from all the shaking from the people above. In all honestly, I don’t think any adults were present. I believe the children were alone and having a great time. Again, read some of the reviews that correspond in the same week of my experience on Friday, June 16th. Reports of running, roaches, concerns about the safety of the interior infrastructure…..,,
We left the hotel room at 11:30, realizing we would need to book another room elsewhere. We were so tired, but it was either that or sleep in the car. I calmly explained to the night desk attendant we had to leave due to the noise. She didn’t even attempt to help or even act concerned. ABSOLUTELY NO OFFER OF REFUND. I’ve spent time today trying to get someone in the Hilton system merry go round to assist.
We checked into the Hilton nearby and shared what happened. They asked which location. We shared. The looks they gave each other told me that this is not uncommon at this hotel. So disappointed!
. I wish I had read the reviews, but as a Hilton Honors member always confident of the Hilton brand integrity and due to last minute flight cancellations and the need to catch a flight early the next day, I booked the room on the app and drive 2 hours from Tulsa.
I’m SO disappointed in you, Hilton. This asset is not up to your standards and in no way reflects your brand. And my attempts for reimbursement tell me that you truly do not care about your frequent guests. or the caliber of the assets you apparently slap the Hilton name on without caring or knowing...
Read moreI wouldn't advise anyone staying here for an extended period of time. A job moved us to Oklahoma and put us in this hotel. We moved as a large family of 4 adults, a toddler, a dog and a cat plus a baby coming in November. We were told the rooms were large with two beds and were extremely disappointed when we arrived to a small room with one bed and a pull out bed. We asked to move to a larger room and they said they would do it. Well it never happened and it's becoming extremely uncomfortable to live with all these people and animals in such a tiny room. We had house keeping come in and they couldn't speak English but managed to tell the management that there was cat poop smashed into the carpet which isn't possible as the cat never leaves the bathroom. Well management decided they weren't going to move us anymore because they are mad about our cat. They then began to harrass us constantly leaving notes on our door about animal policies and how they must come in to clean after three days even though I've been cleaning the room myself with my own cleaning products (since theirs doesn't do anything) I'm not sure where I'm supposed to set up another sleeping area for a another baby in such a tiny area. They don't care about the people who pay to live here and try to get as much money as possible out of everyone. We tried to move hotels but no one close does extended stay. So I'm stuck big and pregnant in a small room with so much stuff and so many people. I'm miserable.. Being so closed in a room has made my entire family irritable to each other and they just don't care. We have agreed to pay more for the bigger room our job has agreed to pay more and still nothing. All the staff is hostile everytime we try to get anything for our room. I will never stay at a Hilton again! I keep getting complaints on my room because of their thin walls and floors. I have a one year old he cries he makes messes he runs around in the room he exercises his new found voice I can't deny or stop my child from doing what babies do I'm sorry. I asked to be moved and they won't move us. I'm looking forward to getting out of this hotel. My whole family...
Read moreNot sure where to start. I travel frequently for work and have spent 60 nights at this location so far this year between trips so I’ve had time to see almost everything here.
The property is showing it’s age tremendously. From the stained hallway carpets to the holes in the walls in the rooms, worn beds and broken latches, there’s a lot that you’ll notice. Towels and sheets you’ll want to inspect as half are usually dirty. My first room had a sagging door, which prevented the deadbolt from engaging. Hot water is a hit or miss depending on the time of day you need it and the water pressure drops whenever someone nearby uses the sink/toilet.
Service is severely lacking. Earlier this year during one of my stays there was a 1 person/1 family rule on the elevators and staff would not give you priority. One housekeeping member yelled at me when I walked up to the elevators as she was getting on. Speaking of housekeeping, it was always a hit or miss as well. Never consistent on the days or times.
Laundry is no longer free and you’re better off finding a local laundromat. The washers and dryers here are absolutely disgusting and the dryer won’t dry your clothes. There was only one working ice machine during my stay in January for the entire hotel.
Now that marijuana is “legal” in OKC, expect the hallways and elevators to occasionally stink. People will even smoke it right in front of the main entrance which is always a nice welcome.
My last stay I was one of six to have their window smashed out in their parking lot. Hotel staff couldn’t have been more inconsiderate. When I asked the front desk clerk if they had notified the police he said “you do that on your own” and that was it. No apologies, no discount on the room now that I’m spending $400+ to have a window replaced. Nothing. I decided to check out early and the desk clerk says “well they hit other properties nearby too” as if that makes things better?
Do yourself a favor and stay off Meridian Ave if you can. These properties are all showing their age and the area has gone downhill drastically. There are better options a few...
