BEWARE IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE!! This hotel, Comfort Inn Suites Memphis on Parkwood in Olive Branch, MS owes me $100 room deposits for each of the 4 different stays over a month and a half period and a double charge for one night which was my last night there.Talked to the General Manager of the property on the phone which was on a recorded line said he has proof they refunded me. He asked me to come get the paperwork (proof). I came to get it yesterday and all they gave me was initial receipts of the stays and a cancellation of my first night there -for no reason at all. (That’s a different story altogether) but in short, they pretended there was no reservation found even though I had a confirmation number, email and text, and the holding credit card went through just fine. So, THEY cancelled the reservation? charged me FULL PRICE. Back to the “proof” paperwork story: There’s NO PROOF of the refunds they claim they sent back to my credit cards. Having to take time out of my already hectic life to dispute it with 3 different banks because it’s never been refunded as of today’s date. While picking up the “paperwork” at the front desk, the same lady was working the desk that claimed I didn’t pay for my room on my last night there even after I showed her the Indian gentleman already checked me out earlier in the day before her shift…DIDNT HELP ME AT ALL after I showed her the double charge for that night. One charge to Venmo Visa and another to Wells Fargo Visa. She instead changed the subject. They’re forcing me to spend time disputing it with all these banks instead of doing the right thing. All 3 different credit card banks show NO REFUND as of today. Each bank CONFIRMED they didn’t. They still want to try and keep it. I’d like each deposit back and one of the charges back on my last night back please. This hotel is a nightmare. It’s obvious it’s on purpose. There should be no reason to keep my deposits. I left my room immaculate each stay. Even threw away the garbage and made it easy for the room cleaners. I’m highly upset to be treated this way by this hotel. We will never stay here again. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here and if you choose to CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS. *UPDATE: yes, I have given updates on this review. Is that okay with you? There’s been No conflicting statements .. I only said there should be a better smoking area outside instead of in the rain..The review looked incorrect so i made sure it was corrected. Is that a problem with you? Anything to make a repeat loyal customer look bad right? I just want my money back! Your reply is incorrect. I have proven to them in person at the hotel that I was DOUBLE CHARGED for my last night stay. You did absolutely nothing about it. I even told the desk lady on my 3rd stay I hadn’t received any deposits back and she said 7-9 business days..also have 3 bank disputes I have proven you have kept my deposit Ms and it’s been well over a month. 2 of them say hotels are weird on wanting to keep deposits. I came up there as promised and you didn’t have the papers ready. As you promised. I got 5 pieces of paper none that say you refunded my deposits. You said you had proof. But there is none. At the time, I had 3 disputes against the hotel. You will be hearing from them shortly in case you already haven’t. You’re trying to keep my money. Period. I have proof. Via my bank cards. You do nothing to help customers with these issues. Instead I have to spend my time sending information to my banks just to get my deposits and double charge back. Read moreI stayed at this hotel after being stuck at the Memphis airport due to Delta cancelling my flight due to the Crowdstrike/Microsoft issue. I only needed to stay one night to get some rest so I could hit the road back to Michigan. I was initially in Olive Branch for the weekend and stayed at the other Comfort Inn down the road on Goodman Rd (HUGE MISTAKE). I made the reservation for this hotel about 1-2 hours before I actually checked in and it was about 2-3 hours before actual check in. So, I did not expect them to have any rooms available when I checked in. When I arrived, Christina was the person to check me in and she was very kind, but stated they did not have any rooms available quite yet. I totally understood and told her I would just take a seat in the lobby until they did. Roughly five minutes later, she walked over to ask if Delta had given me a hotel voucher (I assume she saw my luggage tag). I told her they had not and that I would be paying for it myself. Christina was very empathetic. While she was checking me in, I told her about my overnight stay at the airport and that I had been up for over 24 hours at that point. Christina was again very empathetic and encouraged me to get some rest ASAP. Christina also helped me with getting a roll of quarters so I could wash my clothes (Walgreens was not able to). The room was clean and comfortable. When I got to my room though, the door was cracked open so I was little worried there was someone still in my room (there wasn't), but I don't think that was anyone's fault. I noticed the door just didn't slam shut on its own. You kind of had to push/pull it shut. That truthfully wasn't a major issue for me though. It was quiet, in a safe location, and there many restaurants and stores near by just a couple miles up the road. Christina also shared that there are restaurants nearby that offer discounts to guests staying at this particular hotel. Check out was smooth and easy. Read moreNo room was available so I didn’t stay here. I can’t give a fair rating on the rooms however; I can give a rating too the service I received. Initially when I booked the room I booked for 6/6 to 6/8 online and for some reason the dates changed. I went in to get the room and staff at the desk ( Evelyn) told no room availability. Looking at the phone the dates were changed also to September ( technology) . I phoned Choice that day and they cancelled however ; due to this being a pre paid stay the hotel GM ( Mr Ceaser) had to be phoned . I called the hotel on 6/8 and LaKitha was very supportive and helped me . She told me she would reach out to the GM and discuss what happened and assist with getting me refunded. I called Monday on 6/9 and was informed by staff that my money would be refunded. I called back again on 6/12 and reported I had not received a refund and Evelyn again told me that the GM ( Mr Ceaser) could not refund my money but the dates had to be changed . I was not able to change the dates nor; really knew when I would be making another trip, but I changed the dates to 6/19 to 6/21 which increased the cost . Today on 6/13 I received a call from LaKitha from the hotel and she told me everything had been taken care of , in 7 to 10 business days I would obtain a refund and the trip was cancelled !
