Beautiful hotel and very spacious rooms. We stayed here for a soccer tournament....this is where the positives end. We got stuck in an elevator for 30 minutes with 9 people (one was a child who was feeling ill). When one woman called the help box in the elevator, your desk staff didn't seem concerned and called the elevator company (this was around 7pm on Saturday night) and said they would "be out shortly" and when asked, she refused to call the fire department. Then after another 15 minutes of being crowded in there and very hot, another woman called the fire department to come rescue us. The woman then used the elevator box to call front desk again and she placed us on hold!! The fire department finally rescued us by prying open the doors. When we were met by the manager and another employee, they were not very sympathetic and said we would be compensated by being allowed to "grab a snack at the snack bar". ...thats all.
We then complained and they offered us 30,000 points, which again, seems very minimal considered the situation we were in and the responses we had received while trying to ask for help. We went to the desk and were told that the woman couldn't help us when we called on the elevator box because "there was a long line of people to check in"...I guess they take priorty over passengers stuck? Oh, and they also tried to blame the elvator malfunction on our kids (11-12 year olds). We were able to have security review the camera film and he confirmed that our children did not do anything destructive in the elevator. We then found out others in the elevator were offered a "free breakfast" coupon, so we did get one...of a $14 value. We tried to use this breakfast coupon the next morning and gave ourselves plenty of time to eat before my daughter's soccer game. No one was at the host stand to seat us...we waited 20 minutes. Other guests in line gave up. We finally found the waitress and sat ourselves. She said they were short staffed but we were only one of 3 tables seated (the other tables each had 2 people). Our food took over an hour! The waitress was wonderful but she said they "couldn'f find the chef". We then had 5 minutes to eat before we had to leave for our soccer game.
All of this being said, I am a long time Marriot card holder and use your hotels for both work and leisure travel. This has to be the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and I do NOT feel that a snack, extremely delayed and lackluster breakfast and 30,000 points (which I still havent received) is adequate compensation for the trauma of being stuck in an enclosed elevator with 9 people for 30 minutes and the awful customer service...

Their lobby has a gentle ambiance. The desk is a little “deeper” into the building than I’d prefer but I found my way easily. I asked for a shaving kit but they were out of those. Instead I was offered a razor which, with the facial soap in the room bathroom, did the trick. Kit was not a paid addon so it’s chill.
Room was big. I wish they filled the empty space with a table or something. The corner sofa to chill by the window is nice. I like that. But there is a lot of open floor space and it’s all wood flooring with a small rug for stepping out of bed. I like that rug but wish there was more use of the dead space. The tiny corner glass table wasn’t used. TV was nice. The apps didn’t work but I don’t expect smart tvs to actually work anymore. My phone did the trick. Decent signal for both Verizon and AT&T. 2 bars but the speed test is around 40-60mbps download. I didn’t connect to the wifi so I can’t comment there.
Bathroom was amazing. I wish they had bidets as a standard. Towels for 2 but you can ask for more. They have a pantry. I got the munchies and went for a diet Dr Pepper bottle, Kit Kat, and snickers. Don’t judge I wanted to get 3 snickers so this is victory…kinda. Came out to 12 buckaroos billed to the room. They sent the receipt for the room that morning for breakfast. Breakfast was nice. OJ was tart. Honestly just serve me Costco OJ and I’ll pay you whatever. Excellent lounge area.
Looks like they pre-authorize more than the bill comes out to be. Including incidentals and whatnot. They said it adjusts itself since the charge is pending. Just wanted to share so others can enjoy a worry free experience. They were all so kind and accommodating.
Only negatives were that the bathroom door and mirror edges could have done with a better wiping. Also I noticed the towels are extremely linty. Like I can see the strands floating around. I’d hope for more premium linens in the sense of feel and lintiness. Still excellent overall. Would come back and would recommend to colleagues for a business or leisure stay. Starbucks is there too for all us hopeless overspenders. K back to vibing at the fire feature. Have...
Read moreMy husband and I live just down the road from this hotel, and felt the convenience of their comprehensive packages, vendor connections, and beautiful amenities made this hotel a no-brainer for our wedding. We greatly enjoyed working with Shaina (on-site coordinator) and she was so responsive to our every question and need. Our wedding included a cake by a local baker (Artistic Desserts by Michael Marwitz) - he was so easy to work with and the cake received many compliments from our guests! We were also able to order lighting/charger rentals through the hotel, reserve rooms for our guests in a lively location, and have everyone safe and on-site with no additional transportation needed.
Our wedding was small and intimate with 50 guests including many kids and the space we chose was great for our needs. Our guests couldn't say enough good things about the dinner menu and food - all which we got to sample with a few guests before the wedding at the hotel, so fun! The bridal suite was a dream and worth booking for an extra day - there was about 15 of us gathered all morning with so much room and light!
Our only issue was with the hotel room block - 90% of our guests were coming in to town for our Friday wedding and staying through the weekend. There was lots of confusion with booking and ensuring the room block rate through the weekend. When guests returned Saturday, they were found to be locked out of their rooms and told they might need to change rooms? There was a very large Kosher wedding also happening throughout the same weekend, so it's possible that the staff was just overwhelmed but it was frustrating to deal with additional stress the day AFTER the wedding.
Lastly, we want to give an additional shout out to the catering team for caring for my husbands burned hand right before our first dance (Note: not worth the risk using real candles fellow brides!!). Thanks to their fast action, we were able to still enjoy our honeymoon and he is healed nicely. We would highly recommend booking a wedding here, just pay close attention to stipulations when dealing with...
