I come to eggspections every week for a quick lunch , the service sometimes is slow but all waiters are polite and nice. Today though, I had a nasty interaction with one of the managers on duty. I ordered huevos rancheros and when they came out the tortillas were super burnt , and send them back with my waitress, (then the manager on duty) comes back to my table with a really harsh approach. More details below (First of all , A manager on duty should always introduce him/herself when approaching the table ( I’m not a picky customer , just basic manners ) He comes back with the plate trying to convince me to change my mind on the fact that it wasn’t prepared properly and after debating the condition of my entree he decides to finish the interaction sharply) meaning: walks out … believe it or not , I had to ask one of the staff members what was his name and who was that? Since he never introduced himself I had to assume that was someone from management but asked among other information including his name) it really look like someone random with no uniform touching my food debating it wasn’t burnt) I really don’t know what were his intentions when he first approached the table but that was definitely random. To be fair , There is no productivity around that and I’m sure there is more productive activities available for a manager on duty on such a busy restaurant. Meanwhile My partner had to start eating because his food was getting cold , my food comes back , nothing outstanding but okay , and After I Told my waitress about how mistreated and disrespectful I felt , he comes back to the table “apologising”( unconvinced) , and when I tried explaining the reason of my discomfort, he listens for a minute ( I’m being super considered but I think it was way less ) he walks out, finishing a two people the interaction by his own decision one more time ( . I totally understand sometimes we are not having a good day or our battery is low , since I myself work in the service industry, I’m super understanding with that but to be honest and simple : customers should never pay for our lack of energy and patience on those days. I am not one of those customers who believes customer is always right but there should be a protocol to be followed in a case they are not clear on basic respect codes for the service industry. My waitress Diamond was super sweet ; polite , diligent , and approached our table profesional at all times, it’s a shame the manager on duty showed me otherwise on behalf of eggspectations management. I ended up eating my okay food , way later than I expected ( though about leaving but had spend so much time by that time that decided to stay , decision I regret ) how uncomfortable and what a really bitter way to start my day ! I Will probably go back because their drinks are good and the menu is vast but if I do , I’ll hope not having to send back anything , I’ll be happy to avoid any interactions similar to the one...

So I’m actually just leaving the location right now when I initially got there, I sat at the center of the bar. I am wearing a black coat despite how nice it is, when I tell you neither one of the two bartenders, despite one bartender (white girl)who walked past me three times, didn’t addressed me, acknowledge me, or even show that I existed! From that point the bartender (whom i mentioned) who clearly was working the actual bar side of things and not the service bar went to three different couples dropped off their checks and continue to look right past me! until I got to the point that I had to yell out to her and say “sweetheart, excuse me can I please get a menu, can I get my area wiped up, can I get some service please!” This is after sitting there for more than 7mins… when she replied “oh, of course,” only then does she grabs the menu bring it over and says “oh we have other things were attending to.” And I replied I see that, but you have a customer sitting right here waiting at your bar and she replied “ok but we have other customers,” and she continue to do nothing but walk back-and-forth past me.. I then asked for management bc wth?!! as I’m the only center person in the middle of the bar everyone else at the bar had been serviced up until that time, folks we’re literally checking out! What really got me is when another gentleman came in to sit down and now the other bartender, the one who isn’t even servicing the bar, was able to make it to that customer get them a menu and get them something to drin!! But yet I still had not been serviced! the unnecessary back-and-forth with the bartender had me completely taken back from it to the point that I simply asked for the manager because that’s how disgruntled I was with the whole encounter. Her first encounter wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t apologetic, it wasn’t “I apologize for the delay. I apologize for the wait. Oh, let me clean this up.” It was simply we have other things were tending to, and we have other customers as if my money doesn’t pay as well as anybody else in there here I sit as a returning consumer Rating this Eggspectations with an absolute zero and what really sucks is that I used to work here so I already know the logistics of how the bar is ran and I’m just gonna say it ran poorly just inexcusable for...

I've been here once before for dinner but this last time, I just stopped in for a quick lunch and a drink. All I ordered was a Caesar salad with chicken and a mango mimosa. This is a nice restaurant with free 30-minute street parking or in the parking lot around the corner.

I sat at the bar, hoping for a better experience solo but it was the same as sitting at a table with a different server. They aren't PROACTIVE in anticipating customer needs. Of course, I need silverware to eat. That should been obvious. Of course, i need another drink. My cup has been empty for the last 10 minutes. Of course, I need the garbage cleared from in front of me. It looks messy and deters placing new orders for lack of available space to put it. Of course, i need the check. I stopped ordering and now I'm just sitting here.

I didn't expect the bill to be so high because I was never told that replacing grilled with crispy chicken would be an $8 add-on. There's also a sign on the door to advise of gratuities being added to every bill. I think if their employees need extra pay for their mediocre service then management should cover those add-ons.

Overall, I enjoyed the food and the drink but their customer service sucks! (I've worked at several different restaurants in NYC, handling multiple tables with 4 or more guests in the party). Idk if they like going back n forth to the kitchen or if they enjoy constantly being asked for the same things that every customer asks them for but it's really annoying, to me!

I would go back because the parking, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere were nice but I know what to...

I've been to Eggspectation once before years ago at the Ellicott City location and I remembered enjoying my meal. I always wanted to go back and after my sister told me she wanted to treat me to brunch I had decided on this location because I learned that Ellicott City had closed down. We walked into beautiful modern decor and were greeted very pleasantly by a man and taken to our table right away. Our waitress was very sweet. Upon the menu was a notice letting you know they automatically add 18% gratuity. I liked how clear and big the message was. It also stated that if you thought the service wasn't justified to request the manager to resolve the issue. I thought it was nice that they added that as well. My sister ordered a burger and fries. I decided on the eggstravaganza, which consisted of two eggs, two pieces of French toast, bacon and their potatoes. There really wasn't anybody dining in but we were still surprised about how fast the food came out. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. I couldn't stop raving about the potatoes though!! They are seriously phenomenal. I even got an extra side to go. My sister also loved her meal and kept saying how fresh it tasted, even down to the tomatoes. My bacon was way more crispier than I like (usually I state my preference but I forgot this time) but the waitress had no problem bringing me a fresh plate. The price may seem a little high to some, but between DELICIOUS FOOD (which is why you go to a restaurant right ?) the portions of what you're getting and the quality of it, It's definitely worth it. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu items!

I was a first-time guest here with a friend for brunch on a Saturday. We checked in with the hostess amd they let us know that it would be a 20-25 min wait but they would send me a text message once our table became available. We decided to walk around and ended up staying in the library for at least 20 minutes. Since I hadn't received a text and it was over the expected wait time we decided to head over and see if they would be calling us soon. Upon arriving I was notified that we had been removed from the list since we were not present when they called us. I reminded them that they informed me that a text would be sent and they apologized since their texting system had went down and they seated us next. We really enjoyed the food and our server was extra friendly. Were both pescetarians and were pleased with the many options that the menu had to offer. The banana split waffle was phenomenal and I can't wait to come back and try some other things on the menu. Next time we will wait inside no matter how crowded it is to ensure we are seated and not skipped over due to a glitch in their system.
