A huge disappointment! As a fan of the other two locations, this one is really disappointing. As a party of two, we asked for a table. Even though several were open, they refused to give us a table saying they were reserved for large groups only. However, after we were seated two separate parties of two were seated at tables.
It took about ten minutes for wait staff to ask for drink orders and another fifteen minutes to get iced tea. (Straws available if you ask, which is a good policy.) The waitress seemed to be talking down to us.
The hamburgers were excellent as at all locations. However, the fries were ridiculously greasy like they'd either been cooked in cold grease or left sitting over the fryer. They are inedible. No substitutions are available without a big upcharge.
Drink refills were slow and stopped after one even though the entire lunch process took over 90 minutes. While we were still eating, two different bussers tried to take our plates.
All of this, I hope, will improve with time. The biggest problem is the space itself. It is beautiful, but with all hard surfaces and metal on the two long walls, the noise was so loud I couldn't talk to the person across the table from me and it was hard to hear the waitress.
The hostess and waitress seemed as if we were a burden. Maybe we didn't look like the sort.of customers they want and that's why we couldn't get an open table. I'm not sure. I do know this isn't a good way to get repeat business.
The entire place including the restroom was super clean. Glasses and silverware were sparkling clean as well, which...
Read moreThe wait was supposed to be short but took about an hr to get our food out to us, the server Jones was great but was the only staff working because the rest was just standing around while there’s dishes everywhere and a lot of tables that haven’t even been approached yet. My skillet breakfast came out which was $11 so I asked for extra meat and eggs and gravy which totaled to around $8 more extra but I received a normal portion sized skillet and I then asked the server what was goin on which he went back to the kitchen to ask about. The chef dismissed my claim and said he gave me enough. So I basically bought a $20 meal that only looks like it was worth $9. And when the family from out of town gave feedback, the servers and hosts (not Jones) dismissed it and very rudely too. So after knowing the owner a little, I hope this is addressed and fixed. Will not bring family from out of town (or anyone else for that matter) here again, I was very embarrassed. And I hope the owner takes a look at the cameras, to see just how all the other servers ( besides Mr. Jones ) acted - and stood around - aka robbing the time clock I think it’s considered!!! I’ve worked in food hospitality, and was once offered a job with the Childers family! So again I hope the owner...
Read moreIdk how anyone could be unhappy here. The best food we've had in a long time. The drinks were also great! We came two days in a row.
Day 1 we sat at the bar for morning bloody Marys and a cocktail coffee before we had a wedding to attend. Our bartender said as great. Id say the only disappointing thing that day was another waitress had taken our order and after only one drink, that wasn't finished brought us out check. We had to specify we were there to relax and drink (we were at the bar) and that we weren't yet finished, she seemed a little less than thrilled. But otherwise really great.
Day 2 came for breakfast and sat at a booth. Had some great hot tea and another bloody Mary. The shrimp and grits were absolutely amazing! I'm so sad we live over 2 hours away, otherwise this would be our favorite place every weekend.
To the staff. U are each so kind and seem to really love your jobs and that refreshing so keep up...
