Friday May 2 2025. 2pm. Why is it so difficult to get what you pay for... This time nothing. I always request NO seasonings on my steak. 1st one loaded with seasonings. She took it back and I got some end piece of meat barely cooked. I had ordered med rare and got raw. By this time rest of the meal had been eaten by my husband. When I showed her AGAIN she asked if I wanted it recooked. I told her no as it was going home for the DOGS!!! SO the French fries cost me over $20.00 bucks. I don't understand why it's so difficult to get what you ordered how you ordered it. No offer to take off the bill as she knew I hadn't ate my meal at all. Guess it's across the river to Texas Roadhouse.
Went for a birthday. Had Barry for a waiter. OMG he is so nice and very helpful. Must have been a new grill cook as ribeye steak was done to perfection. Just when you are ready to give up on a place it comes back with a 5 star rating. Wish we could request Barry everytime. Thanks for making a birthday special.
Well was dumb enough to try this place again. Day before Thanksgiving. I believe I figured out that since covid (which everyone blames) the quality of their food has dropped while the prices keep going up. Last night's 24.00 ribeye was a rubbery texture while the potato came out cold and again slimey brown lettuce hidden under ranch dressing. The waitress must have been pissed to be working as she wasn't the least bit polite. I don't expect falling down politeness but a grunt for reply is not a way to make a tip. Find another profession honey... You'll not get rich with your attitude. This will be the last time I go and pay too much money for low grade food and service. Again , I'm sure you'll blame the pandemic. I have to update this. Long Horn like other restaurants are trying to be pre pandemic. Food seems cheaper cuts of steak. Prices are higher. Ordered the ribeye and lunch price 23.99. Asked with no seasoning and came back with seasoning. Just because you flip the steak you can still see and taste seasonings. Salad was awful. Again understand because of droughts. Brown lettuce and stem pieces with petals of something to fill the bowl. Hardly any dressing unless you order extra. Baked potato was order sour cream NO BUTTER and of course got globs of butter and even extra. So out of the 3 things order... All 3 were done wrong. 30.00 worth of Food with tip and couldn't eat most of it. Sorry.. We thought of long horn as one of the places left to eat in Peoria. Waitress was good but I think she was either deaf or just not in tune to her surroundings. Going forward if I want a hard loaf of bread and soda I'll go to subway. I just won't pay 60.00 for 2...
Read moreIt was a while ago that my family and I had a previous issue with Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant in Surprise, Az. I did a survey on why it was a disappointment and the manager of Surprise reach out to me regarding our experience. I explained everything to him and was offered some gift cards for the disappointment of what we went thru. We decided to go to the Longhorn restaurant in Peoria, Az to use the gift cards and it was a totally different and fun experience. When my family and I got to the restaurant we were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was greeting us at our table as we were sitting down. Our waitress, Emma H, was very patient and professional. She started off with asking all of us what we like to drink. After ordering our drinks I asked to speak to the manager. Cedric Cobbs came to our table and asked how we were doing and how he may help us. I explained to him that I have some Longhorn gift cards from another Longhorn restaurant due to having a bad experience we had at the Surprise location and I asked if we could use the gift cards here at this location. He was very professional and said yes, for sure. He had a great since of humor and joked around while still showing professionalism. The entire time we were at our table I observed Cedric constantly walking around checking on other customers while still having a moment to come by and check on us. Cedric asked my son and I what kind of drinks we were having, Because we were driving, we declined having any alcohol beverages but Cedric talked us into having a drink with our dinner. My son ordered an old fashion and it was amazing, I just had red wine with my dinner. When our food was brought to us everything was prepared exactly how we wanted it and everything tasted amazing, The entire time from sitting down, to eating our meal, to paying for the bill we had a great experience with not only Cedric but our waitress was also very polite and professional with all of us. Thank you Cedric and Emma for giving my family and I a great experience at...
Read moreWe went for a Monday night dinner for two and discovered the "American Steak Dinner" on the menu and decided to give it a try. It's $12.99 and comes with a 6oz sirloin steak, a salad, unlimited wheat bread, and either a savory appetizer or a single sweet dessert at the end of the meal. First impressions are very important and are made when walking thru the door when met by the host/hostess. Our host refused to make any eye contact whatsoever and he walked us to a booth and had his back to us rather than his front, very weird and made us both uncomfortable. My husband got an appetizer, he chose chili cheese fries which he did not care for due to a white cheese sauce covering it and it was not covered in as much chili as he expected. His steak was very rare and more tough than it should have been. My steak was cooked perfectly, but it was way over salted in the center. My loaded baked potato was not very loaded. It was only ever so slightly sprinkled with cheese. Our server was OK, but could have been much better in several areas, including hospitality and attentiveness. Our table was loaded with dirty dishes all the way up to payment of the guest check. When she came back to get our credit card to cash out she decided it was time to grab all the plates and silverware, dropping a heavy fork on a side plate that had a sharp knife on it, making me jump nervously. The manager came by to ask about our meal and I mentioned that the host/hostess should make eye contact with customers when they enter the establishment and he graciously apologized and said he will use our comments as a training opportunity. Since my husband did not care for his appetizer I asked if we could take home a piece of pie. This was accepted and we paid our bill. This is our second time at this location and we have not seen any improvement. I believe three stars is more than fair....
