I was unable to resolve things at the front desk. There were definitely redeeming qualities of the hotel, so it wasn’t all bad. But my low review is because they just really don’t care to make things right. I hadn’t read the previous reviews so it is correct. If you have a room on Camelback, it’s extremely loud. I moved to another room my last night, which was on the other side, but it had a sonic type shrilling alarm going off from the AC equipment that was attached to the wall outside of the room. definitely not a good nights Sleep on my last night.
The second night I was there there was a dog abandon in the room above me. The hotel is pet friendly, which I like pets, and have some of my own. But this poor dog was left in the room for at least five or six hours, and it barked constantly. The hotel said they couldn’t do anything about it. I would suggest some policies like you have the right into the room if somebody abandons a barking dog for five hours or you have an emergency phone number for the guests. The front desk didn’t even have a phone number to let the guests know that their dog was barking for five hours straight. The funny thing is the front desk staff gave me a $10 per day credit on my account as an apology for the disturbance. It was kind of a joke, and I had to tell you I couldn’t even hardly receive the credit. I had to fight. I got my bill for the first couple nights and the credit wasn’t applied. It’s like they just didn’t know how to do it and on my last night I asked to make sure they applied the $10 credit to my account. I bought three stamps. Which they charge me two dollars per stamp and I asked to apply the $10 credit to the stamps. And what they did was they charged me six dollars for the three stamps and then only credited me for four dollars. The front desk staff didn’t know how to do math. But that isn’t the worst of it. The three stamps I bought were for three cards that I wanted to mail. I handed them to the front desk on my last night and asked if they could please mail them for me . It’s been three weeks and nobody has received the cards. I called the front desk to see if by chance the cards were still laying around somewhere. The obnoxious rude front desk person assured me there were no cards left. What happened to my cards???. They were going to three different locations in the US. One was even just going to Phoenix down the street. Are you gonna tell me all three of them were lost in the mail? The front desk staff probably threw them away. Totally incompetent.
I don’t think the company read the reviews or cares at all. They don’t respond reviews and my experience was they didn’t care But they desperately need to get some training in proper customer service, and...
Read moreI was just in Arizona for one night and chose this hotel because it was near the airport without being right on top of it. I figured it would just be the standard mid-range hotel experience; acceptable but not remarkable. Turns out I was wrong…this place was great!
The photos online looked nice, but I was expecting that sort of “faux-luxury” that photographs well but looks cheap in person. Definitely wasn’t the case here because everything looked better in person! The lobby was so stylish and posh. From the countertops, to the light fixtures, and the furniture…it was all so nice!
My room was beautiful too, very modern and elegant. It felt very high-end, almost like it could’ve cost double what I paid. There was a noticeable attention to detail, and that’s the sort of thing that really elevates the hotel experience. The bed and pillows were comfortable and everything was immaculately clean.
Every employee that helped me during my short stay provided top of the line service. The cleaning staff is excellent because the entire place was spotless, despite being a pet-friendly hotel (which I LOVE, because seeing my “neighbors” with their cute little dogs brightened my day!)
All in all, the AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore provided a luxury experience at a mid-range cost. I definitely enjoy the finer things in life, but find it hard to justify spending $500+ a night for a “high-end” hotel unless it’s a special occasion. I can honestly say that this place is on par with a lot of luxury hotels I’ve paid way more to stay at. I’ll definitely come back if I ever have a reason to be in Arizona again (I might even “find” a reason haha).
10/10 across the board! Thanks for making my run-of-the-mill trip...
Read morePretty disappointed from start to finish. Will keep it concise...
Told check in was at 3 & they couldn’t accommodate anything earlier.
Upon arrival we are told there is a points member in our room who doesn’t have to check out till 4. Not sure how this is ok. We did receive a complimentary drink for the inconvenience.
Almost 4 pm & room is ready.
Past filthy windows into our room (the biggest & most expensive I believe)
We are on the 2nd floor and the traffic noise is ridiculous (might want to invest in some better windows) Post on IG and was immediately contacted by Isaiah Melton, with apologies and offer to swap room. Have a head so ahead of a night out so declined as I needed to rest (and we had already unpacked!)
Lay down to rest & the pillows smell like they have been used
Go down for more pillows
Discover that in this “thoughtfully designed guest room” there is a minuscule closet space yet the room where only the toilet is is massive! The only way to have light over the mini bar & closet area means turning on the lights around the windows & under benches. No instructions to use the remote to open the shades...we just got lucky hitting buttons. The coffee provided was totally subpar AND there was only one pack of regular & one pack of decaf & two creamers for two people. FYI, hotels are now using Pod coffee makers not something from 10 years ago. There were only 3 Kleenex left in the box in the bathroom..
And last but not least the traffic started bright & early at 7 am on Sunday morning.
Overall a very disappointing stay. We won’t recommend and...
