While spending some time downtown with my Dad we decided to stop for some Mexican food. I remembered about five or so years ago I had stopped here and loved it. We arrived a little after opening and the parking lot was already filling up. I was pleased that we were greeted instantly upon entering and taken directly to a table. My dad is a bit hard of hearing and it was already pretty loud inside so we asked to sit at a corner table. It was a bit better but still quite loud so keep that in mind if you don’t like places like that. The menu isn’t very big, but it has some very good options. They had a few specials today for $10 which was great. Chips, salsa and water were brought over while we decided on what to eat. Last time I had been here I had carnitas, but today I opted for the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and added a shredded beef taco. My dad chose the special of two chicken tacos with rice and beans for the $10. The salsa had a bit of a kick, but not too bad. Chips were good but nothing over the top. Service was awesome the entire meal. Our food came out hot and quick. My taco were crispy on the outside and full of great flavored meat. My enchilada had so much ooey gooey cheese and a good amount of chicken. The rice and beans were good too, but the rice was probably the better of the two. My dad ate his entire plate and that says a lot about him . A great lunch for sure. Again, the worst part for me and my older dad was the noice level was so high.

This place is right smack dab in the middle of my hood, so when my neighbor's birthday rolled around and we needed a caterer, I thought of Mi Patio. Here's the lowdown: I went in there on the Thursday before Memorial Day to find out about platters, etc. Stephanous and Stephanie were so patient and kind, as I asked a bajillion questions, including the big one: "Can you accommodate us if we order for Saturday?" (b/c it's the Sat on a major holiday!) Their answer? "Absolutely." Truth be told, I haven't eaten at Mi Patio in years & so I ordered a quick side of guacamole to go. I am incredible PICKY, or should I say, "SELECTIVE!" about my guac. Some places "water" it down with too much sour cream, onions and/or tomatoes, that take away from the beauty of the avocados flavor. I plunged my chips into that little portion of green goodness & oh my! Their guacamole is so PURE!!! Meaning it's avocados, some spices and that's IT. Based on their guacamole alone, I give this place five stars. Also, we ended up having a pot luck for friend's birthday, but still: BIG thank you to Stephanous/Stephanie for their hospitality! They definitely planted the seeds for where I can order food for future events. And need to get my girls to go here for a much needed Happy Hour Hangout!

My friends and I were sitting on the couch and we decided we want horchata. At first I said "hey, let's drive through Juliobertos" than I noticed I want eatable food, so we went to La Santisima Tacos and they were out of horchata! So we went on google and looked up best horchata in Phoenix and a place popped up on 7th ave and camelback called Charlie's. When we got there we found out it's actually a gay bar that happens to have horchata so we tried to get in but we aren't 21 so they kicked us out. We called this place as a last resort to see if they have horchata and I was literary jumping with joy when I heard they do have horchata. When we got here we were greeted by a lot of smiling faces and we were seated they gave us fresh tortilla chips right out of the oven and amazing salsa to go with it. Than they served us with horchata and oh my god was the horchata incredible and delicious and beautiful and awe-striking and unmitigated and now I'm eating a taco and I'm very happy with my life. PS The horchata was truly hellacious PPS our waiter is the nicest human being on this planet. I challenge any of you motherf****ers to find someone nicer than him. I wish he was my uncle

Ok. If you’re wanting patio dining, I don’t think they have it here. Unfortunately, we saw one table and chairs thrown on top of it like it was a storage outside. The parking lanes are extremely close so if you have a nice car I suggest parking at sprouts and walking over. They are compact size car lots.

I did love the decorations inside. I love parrots. The host up front was extremely nice and he had me thinking this is going to be good. Happy employees, happy customers, good food? Well…. Yeah

So, our server didn’t come to us in a welcoming way. He seriously seemed annoyed that we were situated in his area. There was no “welcome!”, “todays specials are..”, or “hi my name is _, can I start you out with a drink?”. He just gave us chips and walked away before I could ask him any questions… yes it was the server not the busser. I honestly wish the busser was our server because he helped us more then our server who just brought us our drinks and food. We wanted more drinks but the server was just ignoring us.

We were situated right in the middle of everyone, but the older gentleman didn’t care to bother with us. It was upsetting because everyone else who was getting the A+ service were of a different ethnicity. While we sat there…. With stale chips until finally I realized that I have to stress myself out and call upon him for service.

We got two pizzas, and the guacamole was so good. The pizza was good, my recommendation maybe is to put another tortilla down so it doesn’t get soggy quickly.

The host was super nice, but the server was just rude. I hate to say this but I don’t think I’ll...

Mi Patio is one of our favorites! I think her name is Tammy, who is amazing! It seems like she's always there. We go at lunch or at dinner and we're greeted with her happy smile and cheerful attitude. She doesn't wait on us very often anymore. She's usually taking care of things up front. Maybe she's the manager, I don't know, but she treats everyone like they're her best friend.

That being said, it may seem surprising that I rated the service here at a 3. Well. Tammy's 5-star service brings it up to a 3. Sometimes we get forgotten when we're there in person, and when I went to pick up our to-go order, omigosh, it was completely messed up and even when I caught part of it right away, watching them try to fix it was ridiculous. It would have been hilarious if it hadn't taken so long and cost so much extra money. I don't need to harp on that, but just make sure you get what you order online or over the phone, unless you don't care what you're paying for.

It would actually be really easy not to care. Except for the rice, which I don't like at all, Mi Patio really has the kind of food that you could just sit down and say 'surprise me' and get something delicious! Last but not least is the chips and salsa, as well as the sweet lady who brings them. Okay, the salsa here deserves a star of its own! So does the nice salsa lady. I'm raising my service rating to a 4, just for that wonderful pitcher of salsa and the...
