The room we had was 101 in the corner under under the stairs bottom floor right at the parking lot and car port. I anticipated some noise from the parking lot and the stairs. Of course there were the occasional guest with lead feet who just has to make their presence know to all; by stomping up and down the stairs but other than that, we never knew we were so close to parking or stairs. The couch/sofa bed is very uncomfortable to sit in so your left to sit on the king size bed. Which was a very comfortable sit and sleep. The fire place is nice and does indeed heat the space. I do wish it had a longer timer but it's a hotel room not a home so I understand. The small but adequate balcony was very nice overlooking a small section of the backyard/riverbank. The river was nice. The mallard ducks were beautiful. The geese were too, for Canadians haha. The bathroom is large with 1 sink and a large walk in tile shower with a built-in stainless shelf. The room also has a sink near the mini fridge and coffee bar which is much larger than I expected. The free standing soaking tub is large enough for my wife and I to enjoy together. The room also has a closet and a desk with office chair for those who need that. We were over all very satisfied with the room. If there was anything I'd change is the couch and the height of the TV, it was about 2 foot lower than it should be to enjoy it lying in bed. The breakfast was very good with much more than I expected. Season it how you want and you'll be very satisfied. It has an elevator. Had I know that I'd booked a room on the top floor, I'm not a young as I once was and stairs aren't my friend. Nice place nice people we will be back and alreay looking forward to our next stay, on the...
Read moreThis is a great place to stay while exploring Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville! The sounds of Pigeon River from the balcony were very relaxing and there is access to the river from the opposite side. The hotel is pet friendly and had a very reasonable pet rate. There is a small pet relief area in the parking lot but there is also a dog park across from the hotel, on the river (1 mins walk). We hopped in the river with our dog for a swim, but the hotel does have a pool which stays open pretty late. The room was clean and well maintained. Fridge and microwave in each room. Fireplace was electric with starter and controls on the wall. The tub was deep, but a shower-tub combo, instead of the stand-alone deep tub in the pictures. The grounds and lobby appeared to be very clean as well. Some reviews talked about fresh geese poop and flies all over the balcony, we did not experience either. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (except for the powder eggs), corned beef hash, sausage, biscuits and gravy, apple cinnamon rolls, muffins… The staff was great, both night and day shift. They offered recommendations and were always asking if they could help with anything.
6 min drive to Pigeon Forge Island and Dollywood, across the road from Dolly Parton Stampede, and a 2 minute walk to Top Jump and Toy Box mini golf. It was a 5 minute drive to the Old Mill Restaurant/ shops and Frizzle Chicken Cafe (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). If you don’t feel like navigating traffic, you can walk maybe 2 mins and be on the strip by Shoneys. There are trolleys that run on the strip. Also, when the strip is backed up, there are multiple alternate routes to get...
Read moreI originally booked with another hotel, but after breaking my leg, they couldn’t guarantee an accessible room. Twin Mountain had no issue accommodating me. When I arrived, they already knew about my situation and had reserved a ground-floor room right next to the parking lot and elevator. I was genuinely impressed with the care and service. Staff was wonderful across the board.
The room was spotless with great amenities. The shower was especially helpful- handrails, a chair, double shower head, and plenty of space. There were two sinks, lots of room to move around, and the balcony had a beautiful river view.
Parking is open. A few covered and handicap spots exist, but they go quickly. There’s a spot directly in front of the elevator with space marked off, and I wish that had been designated as handicap- it would’ve been ideal. Still, the lot had cameras, was well-lit and clean, and they issue a placard to confirm you're a guest.
My only real complaint: people smoked on the balcony above me, letting ashes fall and tossing cigarette butts in the grass. The room next door also constantly smoked. I have a history of cancer (more cautious about exposures) and am very sensitive to the smell, so it bothered me a lot more than other people. The hotel has no-smoking signs posted and designated smoking areas, but staff told me they can only remind guests (they did) since there are no cameras on balconies. I wish enforcement were stricter, especially in such a great facility.
Overall, very happy with the stay. Would stay...
