Terrible, terrible, First and last visit. We booked during a great promotion which included 20% off any room, a bottle wine and a $30 restaurant credit. We booked a deluxe king room. Will list the good things first, the parking, weather, and the beach. Our room definitely did not meet our definition of deluxe. We were on 2nd floor, the room itself was just corner after corner, felt like I was walking around just hugging myself tightly, Upon entering room to the left was an extremely small closet, that probably didn't have enough room for a suitcase. to the left of that was another corner, that included a sink, and instead of a refrigerator it had a wine cooler, that was absolutely useless, it may hold 30 bottles of wine but wouldn't even keep bottled water cold. To the left of that was a very small table and 2 chairs crammed into another corner with again, no room. The bed was ACROSS ANOTHER corner, and the tv was mounted on the wall across from the bed but mounted so the only way to watch tv was to pull it away from wall and slant it, but as there was barely chairs, the only way to watch tv was while sitting on bed. To try to read again, you had to sit on bed. Across from bed was a dresser area, with drawers that immediately would close. To access balcony you needed to go across a high step. The view from balcony was terrible, right at and into the condo units across the street. There was a very small table and 2 chairs crammed into the corner of the balcony. So 1 person at a time had a very tiny view of the ocean and a much better view of the parking lot with a GREAT view of the condo unit. The wall of the balcony was probably 44" high . The hot tub was crammed into another corner and was probably 36" high making it very difficult to enter and to get out. And then you had to get back into the room, a fireplace was next to slider, with a very uncomfortable chair between fireplace and bed, with no table of anykind. The room was very noisy day and night, street and parking lot noise, and noise from hot tub all night. The bathroom was very small, the toilet was VERY low but the toilet paper may have been better than at other hotels, and the towels were nice. We had eaten at the restaurant previously, always enjoying the surf and turf, but this time we both had the vol au vent that did not meet our expectations, being exceptionally salty. This is my 4th attempt at doing the review, don't know if will...
Read moreI really liked this room. It's been one of the best rooms I have stayed in at Pismo Beach. Its appeal came from the kings-size bed and the fireplace on the inside. The bouns were the private patio deck that came with a hot tub and small table, a chairs that overlooked the ocean. At first, I was worried about the third floor being able to look down or the room next to you see over the divider, but the third floor was pushed back so you were out of view and the divider were high enough no one could see you from below or on the sides. The privacy was wonderful, and sitting in the hot tub, seeing the stars come out while listening to the ocean lap over the beach in the background, was awesome. The bathroom had a huge wall to mirror, and the stand-in shower was great. It was awesome to get out of the shower and be able to use the fireplace to warm up and relax. There were some things that could cause you some issue, though. In place of a mini fridge is a wine fridge. Great for wine and drinks, but no place to put food if you have leftovers that you don't eat. Also, the space between the table and chairs was very cramped and not a lot space to actually sit at the table. Also, the only trash can was in the bathroom. The toilet paper was also in an odd place on the far left of the toilet in the wall, almost behind you. So you had to turn awkwardly to get it. Also, if you don't know who to navigate Pismo Beach streets, then may get lost trying to get to the hotel, which is in a dead-end street with certain streets, be only one way. So look it up before you get there so you go down the correct street to the hotel. Parking upstairs is also limited, but they do have a small underground lot with an elevator. They have a restaurant on the third floor as well but except to pay quit a bit for your food. Just remember you are paying the quality and fabulous atmosphere that this hotel has to offer. All in all, I totally enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. It's...
Read moreThis was our anniversary trip and my wife was adamant she wanted a hot tub and this was a location she had her eyes set.||We came by around 1pm before our 4pm check-in to get a parking pass because our pre-trip email said that was a option, so we said why not so we could kill time on the pier or somewhere else in Pismo. The reception desk was kind enough to check if a room was available and there was! So she checked me in and without a additional cost, which is a plus nowadays. ||The room was a Partial Ocean View and we were on the southwest corner of the place. Mind you there is a 2 story building right next door. The room was immaculate, decent sized bed for someone who is 6'3" and with a fireplace. No AC which is a drawback for me and for us who were facing the south and barely caught any breeze whatsoever, but we made it work and it wasn't too bad, not sure how comfortable it is during the summer. ||The hot tub was full and running and you just had to remove the cover and hop right in. Lets just say if you are squeamish about people watching you, this room is not for you. Lets just say the people in the 2 story building got a full on show, not that I cared. But I wasn't going to let my anniversary stay go to waste because someone wanted to watch.||Big kicker they offer room service breakfast the next morning from Monday thru Friday and a weekend brunch. So you can enjoy breakfast in bed while you just stare out into the ocean or into partners beautiful eyes. Nonetheless I would be back, but I would opt for the...
