Let me start this off by saying that my family and I have been going to The Sicilian oven in pompano for many years, as well as the ft Lauderdale location, and never had a bad experience. Coral Springs is another story. We recently moved from Ft Lauderdale to Coconut Creek, and just discovered that there was a Sicilian oven about 5 minutes closer that the one in pompano, so we gave it a shot. It's we e called ahead to see if they took reservations or call ahead seating, and were told no. We asked if there were tables available, and they told us, yes but they are filling up quickly. No big deal, we were only about 8 minutes away. We arrive, and it's getting busy as they described. We go to the hostess and she is about to seat us, I see a booth open, and ask if we could have that one. (The only booth open). She tells me no, that the table is reserved.... Hmmm... Called 8 minutes ago and was told what? No reservations. So I tell her that I just called and asked specifically about that and was told no. At this point one of the managers notices that I'm questioning this and asks if she can help. I tell her what I was told on the phone, and ask for the booth and she tells me "That table is being held for some regulars". AH! I see. Maybe they should go ahead and put "only regulars get reservations" on their website. So they bring us to a table in the back, right next to the kitchen, backdoor, bar, and silverware prep station. It's hot, noisey and we were surrounded by all the hustle. I ask if we could have the table right next to it (still hot, still noisy, but at least servers weren't rushing by your table every 10 seconds. GUESS WHAT! Surprise surprise, this table is also reserved. SO YES. THE SICILIAN OVEN IN CORAL SPRINGS TAKES RESERVATIONS! I'm amazed that we decided to stay, if it weren't for us being very hungry, I would have hit up Anthony's 5 minutes away. Is the story over. Nope. Food was good, server was great, but I couldn't help but notice that the table next to us, was still empty. It stayed empty, throughout our meal and check. on my way out I see the manager who denied us, and asked if they were invisible regulars at the table. It's a shame they treated us poorly, we go to the pompano location 2-3 times a month, and that's not including times my wife goes with her father, mother or friends. Coral springs could easily have been our new regular spot, now we will gladly take the additional drive time to the locations that don't BS people. Lastly, this location is much dirtier than the others, and that...
