We normally go to the Weston location and we have nothing than great things to share about that location, however, for the Plantation location Its a total different story.
After coming for to eat full meals three times in this Plantation location within the last 2 months I think I am being fair by making the following statements:
Staff does not seem to be well trained in customer service. (From the service itself to handling complaints and finding solutions or simply making it up for clients).
They forgot main dishes of our dinner. Even though quality of food is the same as the other locations, today I didn’t enjoy my “warm soup” and cold cheese fondue.
The fact that clients need to order at the counter (like you were in a fast food place) and the table service is mediocre to poor again made us loose the appetite to come back. (Make sure you grab your napkins, pepper, salt drinks, etc to bring with you to the table).
They close at 9:00pm on Sundays . Make sure you go early enough so you get out of there at least 20-30min before closing, otherwise you will watch the staff placing tables on top of booths, chairs on top of the tables, then swiping and doing all the deep cleaning schedule while you finish your meal.
You need to order EVERYTHING you want at the time of ordering, even if you are not sure if you are going to have room for it cause the staff will close cashier at 9:00pm without warnings, so coffee and dessert was not an option so we finish our meal with a cold apology fondue and zero intentions to make up for it. (I most say after I had a conversation with the supervisor and after sharing my frustration he recognized the performance could had been way better).
I really wish this location changes to a full table service, do a proper training to their staff and put customers service first as the Weston location. Its a place and concept with a great potential and nice ambience. Please reply to my review when the above happens. I will be happy to come back and give it another chance.
Today we spent about 125$ for 3 people and it was definitely...
Read moreWe came to check out the cheese course to enjoy a supposed happy hour promotion which seemed so foreign to the staff - meanwhile it is quite apparently printed on the menu!
With our first order which was a bottle of wine, we were given glasses which must have just come out of the washer, easily over 100 degrees - ideal if you enjoy a nice cup of wine soup.
Due to the lack of staff the tables were not sufficiently bussed/cleared to allow for not an excessive amount of turnover. For an establishment that uses hot fudge sunday glassware in lieu of wine glasses (understandable to mitigate glass breakage) the owners might want to consider a trash/bussing station that is accessible to the patrons. A similar set up similar to that of Panera could work.
What made the experience ultimately negative was how one of the member's of our group was thoughtful enough to order some food for the group (2 cheese platters and a sandwich) which never made it to the table. After the 1st bottle of wine which was consumed in roughly 30 minutes we inquired with the staff as to the status of our food order. We received an inappropriate stressed response from one of the staff members "there is only one of us back here", though they did have what seemed to be 3/4 staff members working. Ok, so we order a second bottle of wine which amounted to over and hour the food order had still not made it out. The slowest place I've ever been to, overall the staff was uneducated to the items available for purchase.
Not likely to visit the cheese course ever again, I'd prefer to pick up a bottle at Total Wine and some appetizer type items and enjoy them at a more intimate...
Read moreSHADY! HORRIBLE! SHAME! ELDERLY ABUSE! My mother is elderly, in her late 70s. She saw something about the cheese course last night and really had a taste for it this morning. She ordered just before noon today. Half soup and half sandwich each for her and for me. When I arrived to pickup I added a small slice of almond cake. $9! The total bill was $48. What the absolute **?! For lunch? Two people? Half soup and sandwich for each of us? WOAH! Since my mom had placed the order I brought the food to her and she was shocked as well! She called the restaurant and spoke with the manager who offered to text her a receipt. I helped my mom pull it up on her phone. She checked the receipt and realized she was overcharged! She wanted the 12.99 half sandwich/cup soup combos for each of us. My mom was overcharged by almost $10. Called the restaurant and spoke with the manager again. He claims my mother didn’t order it as a combo and he charged her separately for each item. My question to him was: as an elderly person, you would just charge the extra money instead of ASKING if she wanted the combo? He just kept saying “that’s the way she ordered it”. Wow! My mom sounds elderly on the phone. Would it not be wise to ask, or just charge and take advantage of elderly people? WRONG! When I asked for a refund of the almost $10 she was overcharged he kept repeating that she ordered it that way. I let him know I would place a review on social media to warn others. He said I should! In a very cocky way. BOYCOTT! Do not go to this establishment. Any establishment that conducts shady business practices, especially in our community full of seniors, should be shut...
