2025 UPDATE: Corporate responded quickly and invited me to visit again, where I encountered John, an excellent manager, who waited on me personally. The food was excellent, well portioned, plenty of salsas, and I was never rushed. Having eaten there for several years, I am now convinced last time was an anomaly and things are back on track with the quality and professionalism I had come to associate with Lime. I look forward to future visits there now.
ORIGINAL PROBLEM VISIT 2024: This was such a disaster I don't even know where to begin. This place has really gone downhill since my last visit months ago. First, I had a coupon for "any quesadilla free." I even phoned to make sure there were no restrictions on type or size. But when I arrived, the register would not accept it and the manager advised me the coupon was only for regular, not grande (the coupon didn't mention any size which was why I called ahead). However, the female manager agreed to honor the coupon anyway since I had been misinformed, which I thought was a nice gesture. So far, so good. But things plummeted downhill quickly after that.
I arrived 8:25 PM (they close at 9:30) for dine in. Two people came after me, sat down, and received their 5 trays of food within 2 minutes. Others arrived after me and were receiving their food within a few minutes as well. I asked at 8:45 and was told it would be delivered to my table. I asked again at 8:55 and was told there were takeout orders ahead of me (they could not explain the two who arrived after me and sat down and had food immediately). Finally, THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER, my grande quesadilla arrived. The woman server was very apologetic and asked if she could bring me anything else. I requested more chips and she promised to have a new fresh batch made for me, which she did. I ate half the quesadilla then got up to get more salsa. In the 90 seconds I was gone, another server (male) whisked over, scooped up my uneaten tray of new chips, half eaten quesadilla, and salsas and cup of water and threw them out. I mean, am I on Candid Camera here? So at 9:15 PM I had to ask for a replacement. The manager snapped, "How much of it did you eat?" Really? I guess she was making sure I didn't have one bite more than I was supposed to, and certainly wasn't going to give me something extra for this hassle and inconvenience. I told her honestly I had eaten half of the grande.
I request another batch of chips, another cup for water, and start filling salsas again. Eventually the quesadilla is brought to my table, 5 minutes before closing, with a quarter cup of sour cream (I had not eaten any of the original because it was thrown out). I ask for a full cup and the manager says, "I gave you a full cup when I delivered the first one." I said "I know that, but your server threw it out I didn't even get one taste of it." So she brought out more. Then I had to remind her about the batch of chips that got thrown out since she didn't bring another one of those. Do you get the picture here? Oh, and the replacement "quesadilla" was two flat triangles of tortilla with two bites of chicken, a smear of beans, and no cheese. Nothing even close to the menu item or what had been thrown out so I really didn't get the full order.
The male server comes over to apologize for throwing out the food and assures me I can stay as long as I like even though they are closing. But a few minutes later the female server comes over to advise they are already closed and need to clean the area. So I ask for a box and a bag to bring the rest home since it's now been one hour and ten minutes to get my food (!) and I don't have time to eat it there as they are closed. I am not posting the names of the two servers as I am not trying to get anyone into trouble here. However, it would have been nice if the manager had apologized just once instead of challenging me on how much I ate before it got tossed and measuring the sour cream she gave me with an...

I was looking for a quick bite before hitting the road, and when I saw that Lime offered mobile ordering via Door Dash I decided to place an order.
I noticed an offer for FREE cinnamon chips, but I needed a 30 dollar minimum to get the code. This had me order extra food I didn't really need, but it would be consumed at some point anyway, so I caved. Unfortunately, I didn't see any way to enter the code I was given, so I figured I'd ask the staff when I got there what happened.
Upon entering I told the cashier that I had a mobile order and she directed me to the back of the counter. I saw 3 employees standing around talking to each other, two in green t-shirts and one in all black business casual (I'm guessing shift manager). I stood there for probably a good 3-5 minutes, making eye contact with all three employees at some point, other employees came up to get their orders to deliver to tables, I still stood there making eye contact, not one of them asked me if I needed help.
I finally went to grab the only bagged order that was sitting there and the, who I guess was the shift manager, rudely stated "that's a DOOR DASH order, do you need help??" and I asked if that order was under my name to which she said "oh, yeah, looks like it, here...." I mentioned that the free cinnamon chips were charged because I didn't see how to enter the code and her reply was "oh, the app says they are free, but that's just the name, they aren't ever free, we never give anything for free" after explaining that I had a code, she said "no, it's just the name, it's never free" and I said that's very deceptive of them, to which she said "I'll let my manager know, but it's never free."
To top it all off, by the time I got to my destination, after eating in the car, my entire family was complaining of stomach cramps, so I didn't bother to eat my order and tossed whatever...
Read moreThis was our first trip to this location. My daughter eats at Lime fairly frequently with one of her friends. They go during happy hour for $2 tacos and two-for-one drinks. She was at the one in Coconut Creek and said we should try it, that happy hour was til 7:00. We went to this location, as it was marginally closer and we needed to get back. My husband placed the order - 4 tacos and 2 margaritas. They rang up at over $27.00. It turned out that not all Limes are the same. This one stops its happy hour at 6:00. That being said, that's still pretty pricey for a drink in a plastic cup. He dropped the order for the drinks and just asked for 4 soft corn tacos, with no cilantro. Although I was not standing next to him at the time, he is generally very clear on the cilantro thing. Both of us find that it tastes like soap, so naturally, not having (yet) said any bad words, we didn't think we should have a mouthful of soap. We waited. Not for long, and the waitress brought our orders. Instead of the corn tortillas that we had ordered, they had brought us flour tortillas. And there was a generous helping of cilantro. Since we didn't have much time, we opted to laboriously pick the herb out of our tacos. I tried the one with the beef first. It tasted exactly like Taco Bell beef filling. I also had only a very small amount, maybe 3 tablespoons. Then I tried the chicken. Once again, there was very little filling and the taste was nothing special. They ingredients were fresh, but that's about all I can say. There was so much wet pico on the tacos that it had run all over the dish before it even got to me. Some of my corn chips weren't cooked all the way through, so they had a more oily consistency and uneven texture. On the plus side, the waitress was fairly speedy and very pleasant. Will we go back? No. Taco Bell, is closer, cheaper and...
