This was my first vacation out in ptown for the fascination event and the Gifford house absolutely blew my mind. Hannah who worked at the front counter was super friendly and very accommodating. Hannah made me and my fiancée feel so welcomed. On top of that our room was perfect. If you’re looking for something small and cozy then the Gifford house is for you! The cleaning ladies did an amazing job maintaining our room! On top of that the art work in the building was beautiful and the price for 3 nights was affordable! The best part is down the hill is the town! So it was very easy to get around and shop. When the Gifford house hosted the main event for Fascination I was so impressed of the basement club and how much room there was and how POPPIN the music was. Gifford house was truly amazing and I seriously will not forget this experience. I will definitely be coming to the Gifford house more often anytime i vacation in ptown. 💖

I stayed at the Gifford House last weekend in a double queen room with a friend. The room was fantastic. Plenty of space for both of us. The AC worked great and everything was clean and decorated nicely. It rained all weekend so it was nice to have a decent-sized modern TV. The new patio - WOW! They really did an awesome job of building out the new space. Filtered water is available in the lobby 24/7 which is nice considering Ptown prohibits the sale plastic water bottles. My friend and I were here for a spiritual retreat that was fantastic, and the owner Steve also participated so we got to know him a bit. He’s incredibly nice,VERY down to earth and very accommodating to the needs of the retreat group. The event spaces were also very conducive to the retreat. I rally loved staying here and will probably do so again when I visit next year. Thank you Steve for everything!

The Gifford House is an older inn, but that adds to the historic charm. Harvey, Dave, Bob and the rest of the staff were awesome and make you feel right at home. They are all so tolerant and welcoming. Given the age of the building I was impressed by how quiet the rooms were. The rooms aren’t updated but the prices are about 1/2 of the going rate for Provincetown and the location couldn’t be better with commercial street only 500’ away and the public beach just a 1000 feet. My only recommendation is to pay the extra for a room with air conditioning if you stay in July or August (I did). The Porchside Bar on the property is great if you want a drink to start or end your evening. The rooms and facility were clean and the COVID protocols were followed closely. Great place if you are on a budget, care more about location than accommodations or just love older historic inns!

Title: A Truly Memorable Stay at the Gifford House Hotel - Highly Recommended!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Gifford House Hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. It is a perfect amalgamation of comfort, elegance, and excellent service. From the moment I arrived until my departure, the experience was nothing short of perfection.

The newly renovated spaces are simply stunning. They've done an impressive job in creating a harmonious blend of modernity and traditional elegance, providing a sense of comfort while leaving room for tasteful luxury. Every corner of the hotel is beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained, reflecting an exquisite attention to detail that made the experience that much more special.

As someone who values location greatly while traveling, I couldn't ask for a better spot. The hotel is ideally situated, with all of the city's main attractions just a short, pleasant walk away. It was incredibly convenient to be at the heart of it all, and yet when I returned to the hotel, I found a serene retreat that was just as inviting.

I particularly enjoyed the unique atmosphere that the Gifford House Hotel had to offer. During the day, it was a peaceful haven - a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Come night, the hotel transformed, radiating a vibrant energy that was infectious and fun.

The room I stayed in was immaculately clean and well-appointed, featuring all the amenities that a guest could need. I was impressed by the team's effort in maintaining such a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

One cannot talk about the Gifford House Hotel without mentioning its wonderful staff. Every team member I encountered was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make my stay as pleasant as possible. They were a key part in making my visit memorable.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a hotel with an excellent location, beautifully renovated spaces, a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere, immaculate rooms, and a warm, friendly staff, look no further than the Gifford House Hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I know for certain that I can't wait to return!

I left the hotel feeling appreciated and thoroughly cared for. So here's to the Gifford House Hotel - keep doing what you're doing, because it's...

Definitely debated the rating on this one and it could have been anywhere from 2 to 4.

Pros: GREAT location, one block to Commercial and all that it has to offer (shops, dining, entertainment, and people-watching). "In-house" entertainment options with a piano bar, porchside bar with pool table, and dance club if you just want to stay in one spot.

Cons: I say this first one cautiously, because I was warned twice, once at reservation and once at check-in. The club in the basement / ground floor is open 7 days a week until at least 1:00am. I underestimated the warning to mean that there would be a little noise; the entire building shook and earplugs didn't do any good. The piano bar on the first floor / lobby was a surprise (no warning at all) and I certainly didn't expect it to add to (actually overwhelm) the noise from the club until 1:00am on the second night of my stay. Had I know this was coming after my first night, I would have looked into moving to their "sister" inn. "Extended continental breakfast" offered 8:00-10:00am...which means you can expect them to start thinking about setting up at 8:15-8:30. Don't bother making your plans around this "amenity." I don't know if he was hungover, naturally surly, or both, but the staff member responsible for this task isn't the way anyone wants to start their day. "In-house" entertainment options essentially mean there is no security until they lock the doors at 1:00am. Superficially, there is someone at the front desk until that time, but I had people knock loudly on my door (second floor) both nights after midnight. No A/C in the room (a known situation when I reserved) meant keeping windows open for circulation and cool air. Unfortunately, the room was directly above the street with most of the inn's club traffic, so the loud noise from drunks continued until 1:30-2:00am (on a Wednesday and a Thursday night). Additionally, leaving the windows open forced the ceiling tiles on the bathroom to continually move and pop out of place, every time there was a breeze.

All in all, it's fine if you're here to party and will be out until after the bars close every night. If you want a decent night's sleep, however, look elsewhere. I can't imagine what it's going to be like later in the season when the...

The Gifford House is an absolute treasure nestled in the heart of Provincetown, and she knows how to make an entrance! With major updates and renovations that sparkle brighter than a queen's crown, this iconic gem isn't just a place to stay—it's a full-blown experience. Whether it’s the extraordinary layout with multiple stages to strut your stuff, the fabulous free-to-use drag closet in the lobby (yes, darlings, you read that right!), or the inevitable new friends you’ll meet along the way, The Gifford House oozes charisma in her own delightfully salty way.

Dive into the spectacle that is SHABOOM!—a show that teeters on the edge of disaster, delivering pleasure and idiocy in the most theatrical way at the Wilde, a chic speakeasy that’s the talk of the town. Need a break? The hotel lounge serves up coffee, tea, and fruit daily, with the most comfortable couch you've ever napped on—perfect for those mid-afternoon siestas after a night of revelry. And don't worry about packing beach towels or sunscreen; they’ve got you covered.

And let’s talk nightlife! The Porch Bar, Love Lounge, and Club Purgatory are all right there, waiting for you to unleash your fabulousness. The staff? Simply divine, going above and beyond to make your stay as flawless as your best drag look. The antiques and artwork sprinkled throughout the property are like hidden jewels, adding layers of character to this already dazzling experience.

In short, The Gifford House is not just a stay; it’s a stage, a sanctuary, and a celebration of all things bold and beautiful. Get ready to have your wig snatched and your...
