Read moreThis past Saturday was my first time visiting Provincetown, MA. After attending the afternoon tea and getting a bite to eat, my friends and I decided to walk around and check out the shops on Commercial Street.
I had seen Toys of Eros as we had arrived looking for a parking spot. I knew this store was one that I absolutely wanted to visit.
As we entered the store, the associates were very friendly and welcoming. The entrance into the store is very accessible. The merchandise in the store was very well displayed. Not to mention the museum of antique toys.
The staff is very informative on all of the products. As someone with a minor knowledge of toys, I was happy that different toys were explained to me in a respectful and professional manner.
The shop has everything you could need, but what I loved was all the books of Tom of Finland artwork.
The price points of merchandise are very market competitive.
They also ship out / mail orders!
These days you can get your personal toys, lubricants, accessories etc on Amazon, but I would definitely check out Toys of Eros before shopping on Amazon. In the economy we are living in, it is so crucial to shop local businesses first.
Toys of Eros has earned my respect and recommendation to consumers in the market looking for intimate items.
When I'm back in Provincetown, I will absolutely be visiting Toys of Eros!
Thank you staff for an excellent and...
Read moreMy partner and I visited Ptown Oct 25, and this shop was high on our list to stop by. The selection is broad and the employees are knowledgeable, but wouldnât leave us alone to shop. Anytime I directed my eyes to anything on a shelf, one person (and sometimes two, as the person manning the register began to chime in) would approach us to show the power button (not hard to find) and explain the features.
We just wanted a minute to talk with one another privately about what we might want to take home. Weâd step away to another area, only to be followed for a demonstration of whatever caught our attention. Without that opportunity, we left empty handed and planned to stop at another store on the trip back.
The first salesperson (a trans guy) also misgendered my partner (during trans week, no less) in our first five minutes there, and began by directing us to toys that were not for us.
Sometimes enthusiasm and knowledge isnât necessary to make the sale. By the third time I was asked if we had any questions, the only question in my mind was âwhat do I need to do to just be allowed to shop?â
For someone who has never bought a sex toy, I can see how this sales approach might be helpful, but unless thatâs youâre looking for, this...
