4th update. It's been over 3 weeks. Monday, went down to the store for help, at least the manager there is decent. Thursday got call Refund approved, Im due my money ......... in 3-4 days!!! ¤3Rd edit••.still no money in my bank. Its been 2 weeks. And no one has tried to contact me to resolve this issue. On phone with their AP, guess what? This refund has yet to be 'approved' there is "no movement on this at all" on their end. The date is 12/18!!!!* 8 days later, the first $200 return from the original tablet that died Tuesday, finally made it to my account. Now I'm still waiting for the $300 for the tablet that they never shipped out to me. Oh and not once did office depot tried to contact me. Not once. Please go to BEST BUY** 7 DAYS LATER, STILL NO REFUND FOR TABLET UNDER STORE WARRANTY!!!
PAID $738.19 for $299 tablet THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY!!!! I always buy my tablets at office depot due to their exchange warranty. I've always just swapped pay the difference and walk out the door with a new upgraded tablet. Tuesday my tablet died. I ran to office depot they didn't have it in Stock but I could order a new one online and it would be delivered the next day on the 4th. Great OK. So the manager "refunded" my account $200, took broken tablet and ordered me a new one total price $410 (price of same tablet went up and also for new exchange warranty). Went home happy. Next day received email tablet was delivered, but no tablet.I called home office and a automated system said it was delivered so I talked to an "agent" who claimed it was delivered. I told him i never received it so he said he'd check. I'll get an email within 4 hours. (Gasp, btw, I have no tablet to relieve said email) received notice that tablet was not sent to shipping and I'll receive tablet the next day on the 5th by 5pm. At 4:15 I call office depot home office I wanted to get them before they closed. Could I get the shipping info so I could track it? He refused. He told me the tablet was at shipping, no driver had picked it up for delivery yet. But they had 45 minutes to get it to me still. No tablet. I waited till 12:00pm (friday). Still no tablet. I called the store I bought it from asking for help. I was upset, angry. He told me to call the home office to cancel my order and then I could purchase one from him, so I get it now. (Why would I call their HO and not him? That's like a car mechanic telling the customer to call the parts store themselves) The HO called me as soon as I hung up. Said I could cancel my order they could refund me my money and I could purchase another and they'd ship out that day. I told her to call Chris at the store gave her his name and number and said he's waiting for their call, right now, don't do anything until she talks to him. 1/2 hour later I get to store. HO never called the store. The manager calls and tries to cancel the order but the lady from the home office makes it sound like she would mail me a gift card for in store credit!?!?!?!!. Remember this was under warranty. I purchased the tablet from THIS store, I paid THIS store. Finally she said she'd return it to my bank but it'll take over a week ( I still haven't received the money from the dead tablet under warranty either) I now have to shell out another $328.19. So within 3 days I've had to pay $738.19 for a $299 tablet THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY!!!! I've lost over 3 days of work and classes also. On top of the $200 I have yet to receive from the dead tablet. That's over $900 that a company has taken from me for a tablet that cost them less than $299. Trish at the HO was so nasty Im sorry to say I lost my temper. I used to be a loyal customer to office depot. No more. I shall now go to BEST BUY and I encourage you all to shop at BEST BUY from now on too. Unless I get some kind of apology for holding up my money on a WARRANTY and loosing 4 days of work and classes. BTW, my daughter is getting married Sunday, so now I don't have the $1000 cash I was giving them, nope Office depot is holding on to it. Thank you what a wonderful company...
Read moreThe worst customer service experience. I went to the store to return 2 foam boards, they were wrong size. Customer service lady ( I don't know her name, she is a large white woman with brown hair, very tall) was very negative from the first second. I didn't have my receipt, but had my payment method on me, provided my rewards number, approximate day of purchase and even a cash register where I bought it. She said there is nothing she can do to help me, even though I stated that I'm ok with the store credit. She gave me a number to call to retrieve my receipt, I could only call next day because it was Sunday. I got further from cashier and stated that I'll try to find more information. I let 4 customers in front of me, then there was my turn and the lady sent someone else to work with me. I provided my rewards number, I was asked for last 4 digits of my card number and provided it, I showed on my phone this exact transaction and when it was made (thanks to Samsung Pay), they printed out my receipt, even though the previous lady said that she can't find receipt based on last 4 digits of credit card number, which was a LIE, LIE, LIE. So, they questioned me about every single other item that was purchased together with my foam boards and without problems, but with horrible attitude gave me my refund, back on my card. The lady angrily took my foam board and broke it apart and started stomping on it, very loudly, looking at me. The boards were in great condition, same as when I got them. So, she destroyed that boards just because if her anger, I think she owes Office Depot for that broken boards. It was a very sad, negative experience for me, i didn't do anything wrong, just proved that i was eight, that's it. I also wanted to mention that I was logical, showed all my proofs, and didn't raise my voice even once, even though I was treated like a thief or worse. I'm not going back to this store, and I really hope my review will get to the right place. I don't want her to be fired I want her to have...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service. A young lady by the name of Natalie claims to of been the customer service manager read below from my experience at this location it seems to be a trend in pattern with the store. I emailed their print center a Microsoft publisher file to be able to open and tell me if they would be able to print this on hard laminated paper it started off with the lady saying that she is not able to download a file to the computer from an email. Then it transitions into her computer Will not open the file and then it turned into me asking if they had a flash drive that we could just plug into my computer and transfer the document to them that way since their computer did not want to cooperate with downloading the file or opening the file. Then when I told her that I would just take my business to Staples she started getting an attitude with me that she was trying to help me but the computer won't cooperate and she told me that they do not have flash drives I would have to purchase one in order to use their print service center. When I asked for her manager she said I am the manager when her title on her name tag clearly says sales consultant and she tries to say that she is the customer service manager when I asked to speak with her boss and then a Nother gentleman walks up with the same title is sales consultant and seems to try and want to help me she starts over talking me trying to explain her side of the story this is not customer service and if you are the customer service manager Natalie then you need some serious retraining. I work in customer service every single day of the week and I am the customer service manager for my company and when a customer try to explain what is happening to me or to my boss I certainly do not over talk them. Office Depot has lost my business forever as well as my company. I will be making sure that I am form every buddy that I talk to do not shop at Office Depot because of...
