WHERE TO BEGIN. Parking lot is full, and the hotel (motel?) behind the restaurant is a one way, so once you go down you have to exit and loop around the back again. Okay, so you got a parking spot, there's plenty of outside seating but seemingly no heaters. When we got inside the place is busy, but there's seating at the bar or "lounge". We chose the lounge and. My. Goodness. I feel bad for the dj but the music selection was downright strange, a square tile was the "dance floor", and the pictures on the walls looked hand drawn with the word "Think" everywhere to match the name of the restaurant. The poor waitress was the only one for the whole lounge. The drink selection is surprisingly varied, but the setting is so weird you're forced to start pounding liquor to stay in this Twilight experience. The table has those three-sided placecards with PowerPoint word art for prime rib specials, on Tuesdays (65+ demographics?), and the main menu carries the same font. We chose to order filet mignon, cream corn, and asparagus. The asparagus was the best of the three - roasted and sent to us with some silly diced tomatoes garnish. The steak? Mine was a bit rare due to the thickness, I don't blame the cook too much for that, the other steak was a good medium rare. But the cut itself was SO poorly seasoned, and the quality SO POOR, it's like they were banking on you not having taste buds. Seriously, outback has better steaks than this for half the price. The cream corn tastes like it sounds - mix cream with corn and call it a day. Total was $100 and I couldn't slap down the cash fast enough to race out the door. OH, and there's this big tv with maximum brightness that really thows the place off with natural light and shadows. Also there's the hanging paper lanterns with lights you can get off the side of the road for $15. Strange place - awful quality food, awful ambience, awful presentation of your meal. The wait staff was nice, if not a little overwhelmed with tables, and the di wasn't necessarily bad, just didn't match whatever this restaurant thought it's theme was. I'll continue to be amazed that this restaurant isn't a scorched plot of asphalt and I'll continue to be flummoxed by the Google reviews giving this place anything above a single star. Enter here at your own peril and best of luck coming out whole...
Read moreMy husband and I went with eight of our friends to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. We chose this place because the entertainment was provided by a wonderful man named Clem Pennington, originally from the legendary Drifters, from the sixties. As always his show was great, the music fantastic, and the waitress was lovely. By the way, the food was outstanding. The reason for my low score was solely earned by the owner who was so disrespectful to me, and my friends, that we will all never go back there. You cannot have food good enough to put up with that horrible, inappropriate behavior. Clem Pennington bought us a bottle of amazing tasting wine for our anniversary. He gave it to us, and told to have the waitress put it on ice to serve it to us later. Unbeknownst to him, and us, the owner decided to charge up what he called a 'core charge' for us opening the bottle at the restaurant! He never told us, neither did the waitress, he just decided to charge us, and thought he'd get away with it. We also noticed that the waitress had charged us for two drinks that were ordered by another couple! When my husband called this to her attention, the owner said to deduct the drinks charge, which she did, but he demanded she charge the core charge! I had not been to this restaurant in over four years. The owner lied to my friends and told them that 'I do this all the time, when I drink'. Okay, first or all I never drink when I go out, not ever. Last night was the first time I did, and only because it was a gift from Clem Pennington. Secondly, as I said, I has not been here for over four years! So, the point is, this man, whose name is Cashi, is a bully, has no respect for women, and should not be allowed to operate a business that he uses to simply demean and disgrace the female gender. When I went to speak to him about this, he told me to leave the restaurant! Yep, that's right, he kicked me right out! Again let me say that the food was great, and the entertainment fantastic. But, as I said, I will not pay to be abused by anyone, and we will not be back. Looking forward to...
