This has been one of the worst experiences ever!!! My bed was scheduled to be delivered on 6/7. On 6/5 I received a confirmation phone call advising my bed would be delivered between the hours of 4-8pm on 6/7. The night of 6/6 and the morning of 6/7 my husband and I tore apart our bedroom, so the delivery person would have easy access to our bed and electrical. Around 10am on 6/7 I received an email from sleep number telling me my delivery date had been moved to 6/23. I immediately called to see what was going on and was advised their system was down and they could not look up my delivery, so I should call back. An hour later I received a call from sleep number advising me that our bed had not come in and our new delivery date had been moved to 6/23. Keep in mind that at this point I have no bed, end tables etc because I tore everything out of my bedroom for the delivery. My husband went down to the Sleep Number store to talk to the rep who had sold us our bed. She advised that someone had called in sick which is why our delivery was delayed. When he asked why one person calling in sick would delay our delivery by two weeks she told him she would research it and call him back. Then she called and told him that actually our bed had made it to Reno, but that they forgot to pull it off the truck and it was headed back to San Jose. San Jose is about 4-5hrs away but she insisted it would take 3 days to get to San Jose and then 3 days to get back to Reno. The earliest she could re-schedule our delivery would be 6/13. Then she told us she would have a manager call. As of this morning we have been given three different stories about why our delivery was re-scheduled, and no calls from anyone in management. Rather than sleeping on a great new bed, I slept on a mattress on the floor. This is the worst customer service ever!!!! When you consider how much one of these beds costs I am shocked at how abysmally they are treating...

I can't say enough about these beds. They are awesome sales people here. No pressure at all & they make sure you understand what each bed on display consists of and how they work. She answered all our questions. It was an awesome experience for my Daughter and I. I just had spinal neck surgery & cannot wait to get mine! A little backed up with all the San Diego cargo unfortunately. Not much they can do - but I will have it by Christmas any way! I always avoided places like this because I thought there would be the normal salesperson pressure. After reading all the great reviews etc., I decided to check it out. You can't beat a 15 year warranty on a bed! I should have done this years ago! They accommodated me with easy financing that I was thrilled with. I spoke to a couple while there that had there's for over 13 years and just loved their sleep number - were ready for a brand new modern one. Highly recommend! Read moreUnfortunately our air chamber broke after 2 years and 1 month of use. Beware of their warranty because after the first year they prorate their coverage and the customer is responsible for paying for 40% of the repair in year two. Customer service clarified and stated that after the first year the customer is responsible for 40% of the cost of the repair plus a $50 shipping for the item. The customer's responsibility goes up 4% each year after.
For instance, I’m now on the hook for another $360 if I want my bed fixed. And if I want it fixed by a technician that’s another $190. I tried calling the store but they picked up the phone and then immediately hung it up. I regret recommending this bed to family friend of ours. But the good thing is they’re still well within their 100 nights and they’ll likely return it after I tell them what happened. That’s my next phone call.
Evidently this is a common problem both with the product and customer service. Just read some of the reviews.
Update: I spoke with Gus at this location. He was less than helpful and assured me that I would have to pay to get it fixed. Then he hung up on me. This place is terrible. So is the product....
