Fair prices, good quality repairs, fast turnaround time. Paid about $260 to replace my MacBook Air laptop screen. That was a discounted price because I purchased their protection plan for $24.99 a month. Regular price without that would have been $313. Not sure if I will keep the plan. Only really necessary for repairs and I don’t plan on breaking it again lol. However, you obviously can’t plan for something like that so I suppose it would be worth it to some. Would’ve given them 5 stars because the girl who helped me the first time was great but when I came to pick it up after it was finished, the second girl who helped me could have had better customer service. Left kind of a bad taste in my mouth. When I entered, I wasn’t acknowledged, greeted, helped, looked at. I had to basically stand there looking around awkwardly in silence until I figured out she was in the middle of helping someone. Which is totally fine but I just think I should’ve been told ya know “hi” or “welcome, be with you in a moment.” Saying something like that isn’t difficult, I work 2 retail jobs and deal with people all day. Anyway, not a huge deal. Great business over all, would definitely recommend. 👍🏼 Picture shows the screen after the repair with the film still on. Unfortunately don’t have a picture of the before but it was broken. No outer screen damage, but inner, it was cracked and the image had black lines running horizontally and vertically throughout. Definitely wasn’t useable and now looks brand new!

A “Tech” company that has little regard and care for its customers. If you’re a potential customer for these people, look at all the recent reviews and you’ll notice the strong influx of disgruntled customers that have appeared recently. This company doesn’t care about you or your products or the work they put into them. Just look at their copy and paste responses to every single negative review!! They don’t care and you will be deeply disappointed if you take anything here for something other than a simple screen repair. It’s obvious this is the only real service they can perform.

The rear case on my Pixel 3 XL had cracked as if a result of my dropping it recently. I was bummed figuring a huge headache and lots of down time for the phone. I asked Google and discovered uBreakifix store in Reno. And with less than a day service at a price I didn't see anywhere close in my search. They took care of it and I picked it up a few hours later. I recommend them, though I hope I never see them again, so to say. 😊

Update: the owner asked for details, sure thing -

Bring your device into this establishment at your own risk. I would recommend not bringing in anything that you absolutely need to protect data on.

I brought in a MacBook Air that had a small crack in the screen. The original "repairman", Oscar, glanced at the laptop just long enough to allow himself to order the completely wrong color of the screen. He installed the new screen and then made me come into the shop to judge the repair because in his words, the color was "pretty close".

It was very obviously two separate colors. The screen is "too expensive" for them to assume the liability of the device while they fixed their error, and since I couldn't afford to be without my work computer for the two weeks they quoted me it would take to return the incorrect screen, receive their refund, and then order the correct screen, I had them reinstall my broken screen so I could continue using it while I waited for this mess to sort out.

In this haste of connecting my old, broken screen, Oscar snapped the connector that attached the battery to the board. This caused my computer to be completely disconnected from the battery, risking damage to the computer every time I unplugged the charger (i.e. anytime I moved the computer). Thanks Oscar!

Once the new screen arrived, I was told the computer needed to be "sent out" to their repair shop in Oakland(!!!?) for soldering of the battery connector. I was promised this would be overnighted and I would received the computer back in two days. This process instead took 9 days.

9 days later, I received a phone call that the "repairman" who soldered my battery did a poor job, and they needed to send it back to him again to fix his fix. I was promised this would be overnighted and I would have the computer back in two days. This took 14 days.

I was offered a $100 refund of my $520 total paid for this job, as appreciation of the "trouble this had caused me", the trouble of losing my work computer for nearly 8 weeks when I should have been in and out in 4 hours. I asked for a full refund and was told that would not be possible, I also have yet to receive this phantom $100 refund I was promised.

In the meantime, I had to work. Wtf was I supposed to do while I waited for these guys to break my computer, over and over again, with this never ending repair. I was skeptical I would ever actually get this computer back in one piece when all was said and done. So I was forced to go buy another MacBook to save my job.

By a miracle of literally God himself, this computer eventually came back in one piece. It appears to be working. I now have two computers. If anyone is interested in buying one, I will give you a great deal on it. But be warned - it was worked on by ibreakufix - so you can decide for yourself if you want to take on a computer that had the misfortune of these guys having their hands on it.

Apple quoted me an extra $30 on the job that these guys did. I cheaped out to my own peril. Don't be like me. Just let Apple fix...

This location is much better than the one in Sparks. Do not go to the Sparks one unless you can't get to this one.

I've utilized this location twice, 1st time was for my husband's phone and they did a good job and only took an hour. This time I had to take my phone in, my screen cracked and I filed an insurance claim with my provider. When I filled out the claim, it said to drop my phone off during normal business hours before 4/29. I went in on my first day off (Monday) and dropped it off 30 minutes after they opened. It was super easy to drop off, they were able to pull me up via phone number and gave me a receipt that said my pick up time was 2:51 P.M. the same day. The guy verbally told me it should take 2-3 hours and I gave him my husband's number to call when it was finished.

I went about my business doing other errands. I checked my pick up time on my receipt and planned accordingly for my afternoon errands. Since my pick up time was 2:51 and I was verbally told it should take 2-3 hours (drop off: 10:50- pick up could have been 12:50-1:50), I showed up a little after 3:00 P.M. Guy at the counter was the same one that helped me when I dropped it off and told me that they just started on my phone and that I had to come back in another hour. I understand being busy, but why verbally tell me an expected time and also print a time on the receipt if you weren't going to honor either one? There should be a queue for a reason and if it would take longer, especially an hour, I feel like I should have been updated. Especially since the updated 'hour' could now in theory be anywhere from an hour to 5 hours given the...

Although I used uBreakiFix before for a swelling battery on a Pixel 3 phone and they did the replacement quickly and was at a reasonable price. This time, they failed badly! Brought the phone in two weeks ago to have the battery replaced again (it was swelling and the back case replaced, it was cracked (from being dropped). Was told it would take 3-5 days, so I paid for the repair right then. I waited 10 days, decide to call and check on the repair, was told they were waiting for a callback from me to okay the repair and for me to pay for the repair. I explained I had already paid when I brought the phone in (I gave them the date and last 4 digits of the credit card, and they found my payment). I called yesterday and they couldn't tell me the status or the parts order, I went in today and found the parts had just been ordered yesterday and they were coming by ground shipping from New York (I'm in Reno NV). I asked if they could expedite the shipping but they said that wasn't possible. Plus when I called yesterday to get the status, I waited on hold for ten minutes and no one picked up, hung up called again on an alternate number for them, waited another ten minutes and finally someone picks up but they're from another store in California. The person said to call my store and if they don't answer in a minute or two, to hang up and call in again and do that until my call is answered. I cancelled my order got a refund, my phone, and left. Needless to say I'm not HAPPY! Would have rated this experience zero stars if...
