We rented room 210 through Vacasa and had a horrible experience:
The first night we got to the property the tube was running full blast non stop. We were able to get the water to slow down but not stop. We went to the beach, came back to learn the shower didn’t work and we had no hot water. We contacted Vacasa immediately and they said a local team was contacted.
We called Vacasa the next morning and they said the Maintainence team was contact. Around noon we had heard nothing. We called again, they said a local team was going to contact us. At 2pm, after being at the property 24 hours no one had contacted us and we had repeatedly called and text.
We called Vacasa again and asked for a refund. Vacasa said a local team would contact us within two hours.
About two hours later, the local team called and said they were aware of the issue with some facet. The local team said Vacasa had only contacted him an hour ago, 24 hours after we first contacted them…. The local team said they knew the facet was running, but didn’t know the shower didn’t work. The local team said to fix the shower they would have to turn the water off to the building and they weren’t going to do that until the end of the season. So they rented this property to us knowing it was broken.
We asked for a refund and the local team said they would approve it. We called Vacasa about the refund bd they said the local team had to approve it. It’s been five days and we still haven’t gotten a refund.
Do not stay at this property! Vacasa should remove this list...
Read moreBAD experience! I made reservations online. I was aware if there was an issue with processing credit cards you would lose you reservation. I received confirmation of my reservation at 8:36pm. As of 7:30am the next day everything was still a go. I drove nearly 4 hours looking forward to a cool, peaceful and relaxing stay in Rockaway. I arrived early and decided to check in early(12:45pm) so that I could leave my car while I explored the beach before the actual check in time(3:00pm). After waiting awhile at the front desk I did get to talk to someone about my arrival and wanting to leave my car until check in. The person at the counter had to seek another person to look at my reservation. Guess what? My reservation was given to another party because there system couldn't authorize my card payment. Now mind you I had last checked for any messages from the Sea Treasure Inn at 11:30 am and nothing stating any changes to my reservation. Well Jeremy at the Sea Treasure Inn said he called a left me a message. This message was left at 12:21pm...about 30 minutes before arriving and after driving 4 HOURS! No apologies, bad customer service. I waited for awhile as they fumbled around at the front desk with their computer and phone attempting to do something? I waited...and waited...nothing said so I left. Not very apathetic in regards to my dilemma. The staff was unwelcoming and unconcerned. Total lack of customer service. Read moreThe only nice thing was the view and accessibility to the ocean. When we arrived, we only found two bottles of shampoo and two towels hanging, so we went to the office to get more( there were 6 of us), which never came. When we walked into the 'green' scented office, the front desk guy said there were more towels in the cabinet, but he would send someone to show us and give us more shampoo. We also asked about how the website states the room 'sleeps 8' but only had 3 beds and no air mattresses,etc. He told us 'no it doesn't, but let me pull it up', well it said it, and he said whoever designed it was an 'idiot'. So, I asked him if there was an air mattress, etc., he said Fred Meyers sells them. They nicely put notes on the walls to let us know to put our towels, trash and request note outside our door by 11am. Come 3pm, there sat our trash and laundry basket untouched. So we took our items to the office to be replaced. Walked into the once again 'green' scented office and proceeded to talk to the same guy as before about our 11am pick-up, and he said he was 'short on girls'.... Hmm, I think he means cleaning personnel. I asked when we should expect our items, he replied with 4pm. It is now 3:33pm, so we'll see. So far, I would not recommend staying here if you care about amenities, safety(oh, did I mention no screens on the door or the low sliding window, so no children) and good service.
