READ THE FINE PRINT! As mentioned in a previous review from 3 weeks prior, we were notified 5 days before our stay as well that the sliding glass door was "out of order" for Condo #2. Unfortunately, this is the ONLY window or accessibility to the beach/deck view and ocean sounds for this room. Also, their cancellation policy is 30 days prior to check-in, which at the point of hearing about this...it was too late... From Google, this has been broken for weeks, why didn't they notify us sooner about this to give us a chance instead of taking our $500 and cheating us out. I asked for any type of price reduction or accomodations for this circumstance, the customer service said they were "unable to give any type of refund". "Unable"? More like unwilling. This was the whole reason I booked this place for my wife's baby moon - to be right on the beach and be able to listen to the waves and have a relaxing weekend together. Overall, the rooms are decent, bed is comfortable, view is incredible, and the location was amazing. Customer service with Meredith Lodging - absolutely. sucked. Meredith, whoever you are...you should read up on what customer service and being a class act company is about, because you left one of the worst tastes in my mouth for a vacation.

The Whale Watcher Inn was above our expectations and made for a wonderful week at the Oregon Coast. The check-in at the neighboring Sea Treasure was easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. They told us all of the rooms at the Whale Watcher had been recently remodeled. They looked and felt like was just done! The room we stayed in had a full kitchen. Full stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer and cabinets for our food. Everything was sparkling new! The bedrooms were very comfortable and better than other coastal hotels. We slept great after some beach combing and visiting the Sand Dollar for dinner and drinks. The views are remarkable. I felt like we were right on the beach...because we were! It was comfortable enough to sit outside for coffee and wine on the deck overlooking the beach and ocean. Almost everything we needed was within walking distance. It was our favorite stay for our Highway 101 adventure.

RENTER BEWARE  RE: Meredith Lodging Vacation Rentals are rented “AS IS WHERE IS” meaning if you rent a vacation home from Meredith Lodging based on what you see in the photos or description and the Vacation Home is in disrepair & in very different condition than what was advertised in the photos you will have no recourse and ML will not compensate you.  ||Whale Watchers has an amazing view, but furniture is/was in disrepair such that it dramatically reduced the value of our rental & the overall enjoyment of our holiday. Independent of the furniture, “Whale Watcher’s Condo” is a fourplex and an old building with very thin walls and ceilings. On the nights when there were people in the unit above us we could hear them walking, moving and talking.   I would not recommend this unit if you are looking for peace and tranquility as there are far better options in the area.|Upon our arrival we found that some of the key advertised furniture was either destroyed, severely rusted or collapsing to a point where it was no longer comfortable or usable.  On the patio, the frame of the wicker sofa was rusted through and had collapsed. When I sat in one of the wicker chairs the rusted bottom frame collapsed (FYI - I am 200 lbs) making the chair unusable. The remaining metal bistro set and table were covered in rust and dilapidated.  The interior sofa looked cosmetically nice but as soon as we sat on the cushions we sank deep into the sofa well past the frame. No refund offered, told AS...
