Smelly rooms, odd laundry hours. Cosmetic flaws. Also the water seems to go out more times than I can shake a fist at. Bring a case of water when you stay here. Additionally, if you want your room serviced you should go out of your way and call the front desk. Otherwise they (the maids) can't read the sign on your door (because a majority of them can't read or speak english) that says "please make up room" and will skip you. And the shift manager or whoever rubs the front desk on weekends doesn't seem to give two whoots. No tip for housekeeping, i traditionally leave a $20+ tip per a day that i had them clean. Nope not with this lousey service. Lastly, if I have a choice this place won't be the 1st or even the top 5 choices for my next business trip. "Please make up the room" means just that.. make up my friggin room! Above review was for my 1st stay. Below review is my additional stay (What can I say I tried to give them a second chance.) Is this place for real? Second time staying here. I checked in around 7p, took a look around and noticed I had no towels to dry myself off with, sure I had washcloths and hand towels but no bath towels. There was a stain on the floor towel and the rubber floormat for the tub was missing. Let me also mention that the tub had a dime size nick in it. The next day I get back from an event and half the channels of the TV were not working. I was getting irritated after having to dry off with a hand towel that morning that I messaged thru Google the hotel and let them know that when I checked in there were no bath towels. And they repeatedly called my phone while I was in a meeting, so I messaged them again apologizing for not picking up and that I was in a meeting. What do they Do? Send someone by my room knocking on my door, so I have to tell the people I am teleconferencing with that I am stepping away for a minute...
So I answer the door and this maid is asking if I needed anything. Seriously did management not even read what I said or look at when I checked in? Anyways, got off the phone and called about the TV they said half the channels would be out for a few hours.
Also, for a total of 4 days half the TV channels didn't work.
Water went out for a bit during my stay as well...
Tried to give this hotel a second chance. If I can help it, it won't get...
Read morePillows filled with lumps. All the bathroom amenities were empty. Bed had been remade and filled with hair curls and wrinkles the housekeeper Guadelupe {Lupe) Gallegos said this has never happened before. This bed was never changed. We were put in the back near the bushes and had repeated knocks on our door. No response from the front desk. When we approached the front desk manager Maryann she said there was nothing she could do. We got into a heated and I mean heated argument as to why she put us in a back room when there were 50 vacancies everywhere. She had no idea how to handle an upset customer. We ended up roaring at each other and name-calling. The breakfast was an egg and sausage burrito half warm from 7-11. AWFUL. The coffee was undrinkable. She fought every question I asked. I guess she worked late the night before and early in the morning. She gave me the managers card which turned out to be the front desk manager not the hotel manager. His name was Simon and he never returned any of my calls. DON"T EVER STAY HERE as you will regret it. The dirty sheets were the worse thing as we had to sleep on them. We are gong into litigation with BW for a complete refund and this is just the beginning. I hope they remove her from the hotel as she is the reason they have such a low re-visiting %. Let me add that I called from Walnut Grove 2 hours to ask if we could check in early and she said she didn't know. I also requested a first floor as I am 81 years old and can't handle stairs. She didn't know if she could accommodate us with that. We made reservations through EXPEDIA and were later told they give EXPEDIA people the poorly situated rooms. That is so true. I have been in contact with Expedia 3 times so far and we are waiting for more responses. My first call was supposedly DAY'S Inn which turned out to be the Winegrowers Inn, then finally turned out to be Best Western. I never once booked this reservation at BW. I can't tell you what an awful experience this was for us. The following night we stayed at The Sandman in Santa Rosa which resulted in the best room, great 1st floor location, perfect breakfast with a wonderful attendant and an A1 desk clerk. Parking in front...
Read moreI've been a rewards member for a while and almost always pick Best Western for the price, cleanliness and convenience. I had to attend an event in another state and I immediately looked to Best Western for my place of stay. I found one 15 minutes away from the location. I made reservations online using my rewards member information and received a modest discount. This was nice as it fit in my budget. I made the reservations a month in advance to lock in the price. I called the customer service number the week of the event to confirm the reservation and room. This includes the pet friendly room. I specifically was looking for a place that allows pets and I spoke to the agent about this amenity. They confirmed I'd receive a pet friendly room. The day of travel I called the location to let them know I'll be arriving around 8pm. I asked to make sure I had a pet friendly room, which they responded the entire location was and not to worry. Once I arrived and checked in they asked if I had a pet. I confirmed and stated that's why I asked for a pet friendly room. Responding it wouldn't be a problem but a pet room is an extra $60 per night. I told them I already made a reservation and it's in the price. They confirmed it's not part of the online price but is collected at the desk. This completely blew my budget. $120 extra is not a pleasant surprise. Why wasn't I told when I called to confirm the pet friendly room? I paid because who wants to look for a new room at 8pm in a strange town? My satisfaction with best Western has dropped. I'll be looking for new places when I travel On a side note, someone else was surprised with the fee because they left their two dogs in the car all night. These dog's just kept barking being used to sleeping inside. The second night we didn't get any sleep. When I talked to the owners about the pet fee they also were surprised and said they couldn't afford the extra $120 a night. They apologized for their dogs. Best Western wasn't the best but was clean and affordable. Now I guess it's just clean cause they love those...
