Checking in was easy and quick. The lobby is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, the front desk answered my questions with ease and a smile. I appreciate good service in the hospitality industry. I would come back just for the kind staff, clean rooms and comfort ability. Parking was easy and close to an entrance. The rooms are easily accessible, modern and clean. Cleanliness is so important to me! The hotel is quiet for the most part with some street noise due to the location. For a Fairfield in the Marriott chain, this one is one of the best for the value.
My 4 stars is due to the lack of noticing my status as a bonvoy member. I’m not sure what the point is to be one and dedicate money to a chain that is starting to not recognize their customers with the value they did before.
The first time I stayed here they did recognize me as an elite bonvoy member and my rating was 5 stars. This time they did not. So, it’s not consistent that you will be recognized, I even used the bonvoy app and my chase card to make sure. I want to keep a 5 star review, yet I care about the truth and fairness. This is something I expect as a member with my status for so many years. What is the point of being one? The perks. There were no perks here. This may be where I start checking out Hilton honors perks again and switching where I stay.
The breakfast is typical for a Fairfield. I love they have toppings for your oatmeal. There are a ton of restaurants in the area, the location is good to drive a short distance for something delicious or they have toast and bagels, eat something light and enjoy something in town later.
The location is close to the freeway but not too close, so you don’t get any freeway noise!
The hotel is extremely clean, this I want to give 5 stars for and their well planned lay out, making it easily accessible for people with disabilities to access all their amenities and easily access rooms. They have electric charging stations and ramps with disabled parking, showing they put the effort into their building and planning for all walks of life. They also allow pets for a deposit if you are bringing your fur baby. Another bonus. They have a lovely pool and fitness room. All the amenities you need.
Parking is free! That’s great! Yet, it’s park at your own risk and not the safest location in Sonoma county. I would prefer valet or a paid parking with cameras or security to feel safer here. When getting my things from my car there were multiple transients in the parking lot. I made sure to lock my car and remove all valuables. This isn’t the hotels fault, just maybe the location, sign of the times.
The beds are so comfortable and clean, I do a check when I stay at hotels for cleanliness and this checked every box! The water gets piping hot for a wonderful shower, they provide your shampoo etc., that is always a bonus when I forget mine. I will definitely be back and maybe my review will change if they start noticing bonvoy members again.
I don’t think you will be disappointed staying here. Especially if you aren’t a bonvoy member. This would have had 5 stars if I...
Read moreWe happened upon this MAGNIFICENT hotel, Fairfield In Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, a couple of years ago when the Motel 6 in Rohnert Park turned out to be a total dump. That was our very last Motel 6 experience forever.
I remember Theresa being the one that helped us and she was beyond wonderful to us, we had a lovely stay, a nice rest in a beautiful clean room that was just perfect for us. I've never seen a more immaculately made bed in my life.
When we needed a room again this year, 2025, I knew exactly where I wanted to stay. The area is very safe, a Starbucks around the corner with Panda Express, Costco across the street and other amenities nearby.
We feel very safe here, the rooms are impeccable and immaculate. We did stay on the first floor the first time, my preference as the third floor had a bit of an off smell but nothing bad. The room was very clean and had no smell.
I do wish the windows opened on the third floor but anything you could want or wish for, is quickly swept away by the phenomenal service you receive upon entering this home. I say home because it's more like grandma's house than a hotel. You feel so welcome, cared about and special that all you're missing is the familial connection and warm cookies.
Linda has now replaced Theresa and she is EQUALLY as incredible and loving, as a grandma would be to her beloved grandchildren. I cannot imagine anyone having a single complaint about this place, it is a GOLDEN EGG in the entire area, not too far from San Francisco, well worth the extra drive to have a lovely room. It would be more amazing to have a kitchen but I'll take this any day over a kitchen in a hotel room anyway as that only creates more issues and more smells you have to sleep with.
Excellent job Linda, thank you for taking care of us once again and to the management lady, I'm sorry I don't recall your name but you are wonderful as well, thank you so much for your accommodation and helpfulness, you have won us over for many...
Read moreA very restful and comfortable hotel in Sonoma wine country.
Not overwhelming like some of the bigger hotels in the area, like the DoubleTree, Hyatt or old red barn Hilton. Sometimes depending where your room was located it was just a chore to walk or get to your room, because the hotel was so big
The Fairfield inn and suites was a very comfortable travel hotel. Fairly new, about 3 years old. Very well kept and maintained, and a very cordial front desk crew, who was open to helping or correcting any issues. My kudos to front desk workers David and Anna.
Pool is outside, and even though we stayed here during the cold thanksgiving holiday, the grandkids wanted to try the heated outdoor pool. They swam and played for an hour.
The indoor gym workout hour had weights, and cardiovascular treadmills and bikes.
The breakfast area was clean and wellmainted. Coffee available 24 hours.
The breakfast buffet was standard for a Fairfield inn, but good and hot. Standard fare, drinks milk, chocolate, whole, 2% and fat free, juice machine. Oatmeal, cereals, bread, including bagels and muffins. Make yourself waffles, and for hot dishes, they offered scrambled eggs, hash browns, breakfast sandwiches and bacon one day and sausage patties the next. Also my grandchildren were eating what I thought were blintzes.
They devoured the bacon and waffles. Lol
The location is top notch. You feel safe. Near Graton casino, shopping and restaurants. Easy access to highway 101.
Last, but not least. The price is reasonable. This is Sonoma county, and like it's counterpart Napa county it can get pricey. Compare prices to DoubleTree, Hyatt, Hamptons, and high end hotels Matheson and Montage.
I don't think you will go wrong with this hotel, very restful and you can save money to do other things, wine tasting, Bodega Bay,...
