It was my husband’s and my anniversary. I called this place because everything else was booked. Upon arriving, there is no nice view on the property. It’s sitting right on the main road. Lots of noise and cars driving by every other second.||||I am a disabled person and have a registered service animal. The woman who claims to be the owner charged me $75 to have my service animal which is already a violation of the ADA and against the law. She also proceeded to inform me that there’s only one designated room for people with service animals, another violation against the ADA. ||||When I told her my husbands last name (Hispanic last name), she began to behave very rude. I asked her when the casita would be ready and she started raising her voice at me saying I was “rushing her” because I came in 2 minutes early. Thank goodness I was recording everything on my phone and had the recorded running when I walked it. I have proof of what happened to me. ||||Her daughter got involved and held her back as if she was going to hit me. She proceeded to scream at me because I told her I thought she was being rude. I started feeling threatened for my safety. ||||The owner of this property is obviously racist against other non-white races and awaits people with disabilities. ||||I will be filing a lawsuit. ||||I highly suggest you BEWARE of this property and the two disturbed...
Read moreWhen we first checked in, my wife and I wandered around the casita noting how large, well designed, constructed and decorated it was. Every amenity you could expect was found (a full working kitchen and even a steam shower, which I particularly appreciate). It way exceeded our expectations and it is very fair-priced.||||To manage expectations - renting here gives you a wonderful villa to stay in while visiting. But it doesn't have resort-like facilities (golf courses, restaurant, room service etc,) Just a great place to stay.||||Location is good. It is along a main artery of Ruidoso, but not in a highly cluttered retail area. That said, it is not out in isolated nature far away for mankind. That is good for shopping and dining but you will have to drive mile or two to get away from development. Maybe not for those seeking isolation (although the structure is very soundproof - we heard nothing outside once in our villa) but just a terrific choice for...
Read moreFive stars really isn't enough. My wife and I visit Ruidoso two or more times a year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Awesome showers with multiple shower heads and a steam option. Deep, jetted soaking tubs. Fully equipped kitchens. The bedding is something you must try to believe. Wifi is available, if thats what you want on an "Escape" and cable TV with plenty of channels. Remote control gas fireplaces will heat the living space on cool days. Comfortable living furniture and dining for 6. Sitting under the tall pines with a morning coffee watching the deer stroll through is a great way to start the day. Top notch amenities with an awesome host and great staff to take care of your needs. We've been going to Ruidoso for 11 years now, as of 2023. Again, won't stay anywhere else. Call for reservations, your Casita will be...
