I have not stayed at a Marriott in a while and this trip reminded me why not. They where not ready for the amount of traffic they got this week it seems. I got there at 2:30p and did not have my room available until 9p due to cleaning. When I got finally let into a room it looked clean in the surface but I always do my own cleaning especially now with covid. Though the surfaces where clean the walls next to the table were not, and as we discovered bathroom walls (which have a wall that is a full painting) hide that there could be splash back from previous room occupant that was never cleaned not to mention all the dust on the side floor molding. One of rooms had a broken fridge and both our rooms had water drain issues. A repair person was sent the next day to fix it them but we had to be constantly reminding the front desk staff about it. The staff was friendly but they were overwhelmed and understaffed which led to many of the frustrating experiences. The hotel itself is pretty and the lobby area and seating was kept cleaned. Hotel is only about a block from the beach and walking distance to many beach eats plus parking was free. There was a fire pit they lit at night by the pool which was nice. The rooms are really the issue as they were not staffed for them to be maintained. Every day we saw the same cleaning person from day to late night cleaning rooms. One person only is ridiculous for how many people kept checking in and out daily. Also the rooms do not have microwaves , so you had to go downstairs to try to use the one small microwave in the front. If you are traveling with kids, all know how frustrating it is when you can’t settle. The 6+ hour wait for the room and not being able to easily reheat things was a real pain. We considered leaving but our families had driven a long way to get here and we found out the week was popular and getting another room somewhere else was hard so we made due. It was not awful but little things here and there did not make this a place we want to...

The front desk staff we're friendly. I had booked through my Chase credit card and Chase is affiliated with Marriott, they even have a credit card just for them. Did I receive credit on my Marriott account? Nope. I asked the front desk to help with it...they tried? I guess.
I've stayed with Marriott around the country and typically they are my go to especially for the app.
My receipt at checkout did not have the room charge that I need to even try to have the trip added to the account but only the charges from the little store they have.
The room they gave us was a handcap room, not a big issue except the shower flooded onto the bathroom floor and they didn't ask if we we're okay with this room.
In addition it was a joining room and had a door with another family next door...the parents fought all hours of the night and could hear them clearly.
The room wasn't the cleanest and no do not disturb signs, or cleaning needed signs were provided. The lamp in the room was broken.
No cleaning service was provided throughout the trip. We put a bag of trash in the hall that sat there for maybe 8 hours.
As for breakfast at the little cafe thing, they claim to serve starbucks coffee but upon looking at their setup I felt that was a complete joke. The staff there was okay, we ordered two sandwiches and a muffin. It came to $24, completely over priced. They claimed the cheese on the sandwiches was Gruyère...nope it was American cheese. In addition the brioche roll was actually a burger bun.
The location was perfect being so close to the beach but parking goes quick. It is a little far from most of the resturants but there's a little bar right next door.
Sadly being a loyal Marriott member I do not think we will return to this location, but rather stay at the Hilton...
Read moreHotel was well kept, nice, and clean....but absolutely no service. I received an upgrade to larger room that was very big with two queen beds with nice view. My Titanium status was was not recognized at all during check-in or any other time during stay. Again, the hotel was very nice and comfortable for a Courtyard, but there was no housekeeping, and if you wanted trash emptied you had to put trash into hallway at specified times. If you wanted new towels you were supposed to leave old towels in hallway and they would leave new ones in place...No-one would enter your room during your stay. This was stated in a letter on the desk in the room. I found that towel exchange did not work well so one night called for more towels and they told me I had to go to front desk to retrieve new towels. By the time we checked out our trash was full. Arriving after a 12 hour drive and parking our car in lot, the desk in the room had a letter and a parking pass. It said if the parking pass was not placed in the car, our car could be towed. So I had to go back down to the lot and place pass in car. Why not just give the pass to you when you check in??? Why do you have to wait to get to your room to see this?? Other than absolutely no service the hotel was fine. If fact if service had been 100% I would have given at least an 8 or 9 rating. Seeing maids and janitors in hallways constantly made it hard for me to "come to grips" with the hotel NO SERVICE policy. This is my 3rd stay in Florida hotels this year and all other hotels had 100% services, absolutely no restrictions. Overall hotel services have improved since Covid, but not at this hotel....it seems they...
