Sunshine Shop — Local services in Saint Augustine Beach

We are locals and this has always been our go to store for all our swim suits but after today we won't be back at all! One of the girls was as sweet as can be but the other two had awful attitudes. My sister and I went in to find suits for the keys in a few weeks and one for the holiday on Monday and yes my sister did try on probably 30 suits but that is no reason to talk about customers while they are standing in front of you being you pride yourself on the huge selection of swimwear! Even though you were "whispering" I could hear you! And yes we were shopping the sale rack we still ended up spending $300 in your store with you talking badly because I didn't want to cause a scene! My sister has extreme social anxiety and asks questions and that is why we shop more local stores for the smaller feel and you have lost every bit of business which may not seem like much but my $300-500 I spend a year on swimwear will now go to a big box store rather than listen to the rude comments being made. What a sad day that I lose all love for my absolute favorite swim wear store in our little town! My advice is unless you like to be talked about for trying on multiples or looked at sideways because you comment on a price of a suit go to any of the other shops in town the staff any where else is better than the attitude...

if i could give zero stars, i wouldve tapped it faster than a blink of an eye. Me and my friends walked over there and decided to shop for some kini's. while we were in the dressing room, the owner puts her hand IN the dressing room from the top of the door, and proceeds to tell us that 'we have been in the dressing room for way too long!!!' we had 3 bikinis to try on, so that takes a little bit ( we spent NOT EVEN 8 minutes in there ) after this, me and my friend were debating whether she wanted the bikini, because it was stained and she would not give a discount. During our PRIVATE CONVO, the owner chips in and says 'YOU THINK $15 IS ALOT OF MONEY???' and 'dared us to find another bikini ''that cheap''. WHY IS THIS ANY OF HER BUSINESS??????????? for a teenager without a job a $15 stained bikini is expensive and NOT worth it. i most definitley did not appreciate her RUDE, UNEEDED ATTITUDE!!! and advise you to never go to their overpriced...

We recently moved to St. Augustine and were in search of a local swimsuit store. My teenage daughter and I happened to drive by Sunshine Shop and decided to stop in. The selection of swimsuits was great, but we found the customer service to be seriously lacking. We were not welcomed into the store and, more importantly, no one offered to help us -- even when it was clear that we were having a hard time finding coordinating tops and bottoms in my daughter's size. The woman who I assumed to be the owner followed us around, frowning, as if she was concerned that we might steal something. She never once offered to help us while we were looking. We ended up buying a swimsuit, but I don't think we'll return to the store. I'd rather shop someplace where we feel welcome and where assistance is offered by...
