Highly recommend!! We are from Ocala and wanted to visit St Augustine a couple days. We stayed at Casa de Hernandez for 2 nights this week. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. Very nice inside and out. Very Serene! If you are a couple looking for a retreat, THIS IS THE PLACE! It’s just outside of downtown so it’s an easy walk and a little quieter. The hotel was very transparent about noise here, and we even had the front balcony room. But it was very quiet the whole time we were there. ( highly recommend getting the balcony room - Verde. Such an awesome experience) Location is great, price is very fair for the room you get! Service has been great, they’ve answered every question very nicely. I LOVE the coffee bar! Most hotels have very little selection. But not here, they give you anything you could want!
This was such a nice little place, quiet street just outside of downtown. I can not recommend this place enough! We would 1000% book this room again if we were to visit St...
Read moreI stayed here recently and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. On the plus side, the location is excellent—it’s just a short walk from downtown St. Augustine and right in front of a park area near a school. However, the proximity to the school meant that the bedroom with the balcony was quite noisy on weekdays due to children playing.||While the rooms were decent, they were noticeably smaller than depicted in the photos. Another concern was the check-in and check-out process; I highly recommend taking videos of the room upon arrival and departure. The host has a tendency to accuse guests of damages, which can lead to unnecessary disputes. Additionally, although a cleaning fee was charged, guests are expected to clean up, and the host still complains if the cleaning isn’t done to their satisfaction.||Overall, the stay had its conveniences, but potential guests should be aware of these issues...
Read moreWe just stayed at the “Verde” room at Casa De Hernandez. This was our first trip to St. Augustine and we really enjoyed the room/house and the city. The owners were very helpful and responsive and the location was on a quiet street about 1/4 mile (maybe) to the downtown historic district. The room was very clean, the bed and sheets were very comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. We really enjoyed the porch off our room as well. We will definitely stay here again some day and would recommend Casa De Hernandez to anyone looking to stay in St. Augustine. Other reviews mentioned street noise but we heard nothing, and the street it’s on is a slow one way street and very quiet...
