BEWARE. The festival was nice but....this is the first time we decide to stop at the Corey Ave Craft Festival. We had no idea where to park so we parked a CLOSED Winn Dixie parking lot (no longer in business), a couple of blocks away, along with many other people. When we came back to our car about 1 1/2 hour later, our vehicle was missing along with many others from the Craft Festival. Apparently, a towing company waits for people to park there and tows them as soon as they leave their car, pointing out there is a small sign posted at the entrances to the parking lot "tow away zone". When I asked the towing company WHY we cannot park in a abandoned parking lot they said, because we said so. I then asked, if its soooo important to not park there, why not put a chain across the entrances, they said "because then we would not make any money". Really? $130 to get back the vehicle and $20 for ride to towing lot. They said they towed at least 8 cars and are about to go back and get more. What a scam, we will not be visiting there again, in fear of losing more money to someone else trying to make a buck off...
Read moreI absolutely enjoy going to any craft festival held in the Corey Ave. area. You can tell they're very experienced by the way they set up the booths that also features the stores on either side of the street. Those cute little stores are quite the draw and I love going in them because they always have something new. The Coastal Cottage is my favorite store and every time I go in there I end up finding a treasure. This time it was a dresser with cane drawers, that would be perfect for a TV console table. The store is a collection of different vendors and you wouldn't believe how many little nooks and crannies are filled with the good stuff. Stop by and wander through it will make you happy. Looking forward to the next...
