I've been here before and it was nice. You have to pay for parking. Had a nice walking dock. However, due to the hurricane, the dock is destroyed. It is going to take a lot of time for Treasure Island to rebuild. This area the hurricane debris is probably one of the worst I've seen ( I have been to many places that have need impacted by the last two hurricanes). It was extremely sad to see all the people who have been impacted and lost so much to this storm. There was an actual fridge that was laying in the Canal. It was sitting in approximately half a foot of water. Someone has tied a line around it so it doesn't drift off into the Canal. (I can't even imagine how much stuff that could have been tossed or washed into the Canal that has sunk....creating hazards...

This area is poorly signed and shouldn’t be called a beach. We paid for parking and then noticed signs to both the left and right of the boardwalk saying no dogs allowed. Asked a local man walking nearby. Apparently the dog “beach” is the little area down the stairs on the boardwalk straight in front of the parking lot. You will get fined if your dog is to the right or left of this area (on the wooden boardwalk) and the only place you’re allowed to walk is down these narrow set of stairs leading straight into the water. It was inaccessible to us due to high tides and a storm so we drove over 30 mins and paid for parking for nothing. Apparently it’s been like this for a while judging on other reviews I...

To the people leaving bad reviews about their dog not being able to swim during a high tide, duh. It’s common sense you or your animal shouldnt be out during a high tide, as you can get pushed out into the ocean. So, I would say, those people just wanted something to complain about.

Despite the negative Nancy’s, Absolutely beautiful beach with stunning waters. I wouldn’t call it a dog park to be honest, I would’ve just left it at sunset beach.. and the signs are a bit confusing about the dog must be on a leash, but like how are they supposed to swim freely. Idk, I don’t make the signs. Statement still stands about the water being...

It's a little too small in my opinion and the dogs can get out a little too easy when it would be simple to install some fencing and a little gate at the entrance. It's also too bad that there is no dog water fountain or poop bags. And it's a little too narrow for people to bring beach chairs, but there were plenty of people who did which causes obstacles for the dogs to fully run and have fun. But luckily the dogs had a great time and the water is clean. But don't get your expectations too high if you decide to come here.

Fun for our Nebraska dogs to see what the beach is all about!! For first time visitors reading the review, drive to the very end of the road until you can’t drive anymore and you will see the beach. It’s none of the entrances along the parking lots you see by the regular beach. Drive til the stop sign and turn right and you’ll pass the tennis courts and see the parking lot. Paid parking. Fun time!
