"Intermezzo: Where Espresso Meets Existential Crisis and Day Drinking is a Lifestyle Choice"
Let me tell you about Intermezzo, the magical cafĂŠ/bar/temple of caffeinated enlightenment where you can start your day with a lavender latte and end it with a cocktail called Bedroom Music â which, letâs be honest, is also the name of the playlist youâll be making after two of those.
First of all, the vibe? Industrial chic meets botanical speakeasy. Everyone here is either working on a screenplay, doing a remote coding session, or pretending they understand the difference between Kyoto drip and cold brew (spoiler: I ordered both and just got really anxious in HD).
Now, the drinks? Letâs break it down:
Coffee Menu: You havenât lived until youâve had the Honey-Lavender Latte, which tastes like a beekeeper and a yoga teacher collaborated on a cloud. The Kyoto is basically iced coffee that studied abroad in Japan and now insists on being called "artisanal." And donât sleep on the Banana Cream Cold Brew â it's like your childhood banana pudding ran away to Brooklyn and came back caffeinated and edgy.
Cocktail Game? "Bedroom Music" is what I call my third personality â Italicus, aperitivo, and sparkling wine? Yes please. Itâs a citrusy, herbal daydream that had me flirting with a fern. âHis & Hersâ features Japanese whiskey and jasmine soda and tastes like sipping secrets at a rooftop garden party. And the Caffe Mezzo? It's vodka, espresso liqueur, and chocolate bitters â in other words, therapy in a glass.
And then thereâs Zero-Proof Cocktails, for when youâre detoxing but still want to feel mysterious. The Vacation Club had me believing I was on a beach in Mykonos instead of aggressively eavesdropping on a crypto bro Zoom call next to me.
Summer Menu? Caffè AllâArancia is espresso, orange zest, and cardamom â itâs what would happen if an orange grove and an espresso machine fell in love during a Wes Anderson movie. Matcha Mint Refresher tastes like a spa day with benefits. I drank it and immediately forgave my enemies. And Summer Breeze? Light, gingery, coconutty. I ordered one, sat on the patio, and convinced myself I was the main character.
Final Thoughts: Come for the coffee, stay for the cocktails, get existential about your life choices somewhere around the Carajillo, and leave knowing youâve just been to the place where caffeine and class collide in the most delicious way.
Intermezzo isnât just a coffee shop â itâs a lifestyle, a mood, and probably a future...
Read moreNot a good place for students to study. Found this place through Google tried it for the first time with a friend because we thought it looked cool, a good place for both of us to study and the main reason we chose this place is because it was open late. So the fact that it was open late, you would think that they accommodated students till they closed. This was not the case. We both plan we ordered drinks and sat in the corner and started studying. After a few minutes we both looked at each other and agreed the music was extremely loud, the bass was up way too high, it was vibrating the benches, we stuck it out since we were already set up. After about an hour I realized I needed to plug my laptop in, there was no plug-in nearby which I found very odd for a coffee shop that allows people to study. Then to top the experience (the worst part), while Iâm in the middle of a quiz for school, suddenly I have no Internet access. Come to find out they shut off the Wi-Fi at 6 oâclock. We didnât not see a sign that announce this nor did any of the employees say anything to us. I would think as good customer service, when people walk in with laptops and you see that theyâve been sitting actively studying for almost 2 hoursâŚto give a heads up and say âby the wayâ⌠sad to say I will not be returning to this establishment. I did think it was cool place but the lack of good customer service and communication⌠I just donât have time for. If youâre looking for a cool place to just have a drink I would recommend. If youâre looking for a good place to study, this is...
Read moreIntermezzo is my favorite hangout for many different reasons.
The Energy\Vibe is simply intoxicating. The moment you walk in and take it all in you immediately feel at peace, a little lighter if you may. Every single person that works there is a major vibe, from conversations, to creativity with making drinks, to simply just being happy individuals who are just âpresent.â I love that.
The Aesthetic is very simple and effective. Itâs not like some 5 star restaurants that try too hard, their decorations and floor plan is welcoming/inviting and it makes you feel right at home.
Ok the drinks... the drinks the drinks the drinks... I love them all and I do mean that, Iâve probably tried almost all the drinks on the menu. My favorites being the Clarified Information when I just want to relax and enjoy a good soothing drink and also the Aviation if you just wanna jump right in and feel good immediately. âItâs a strong one and one or two glasses will definitely get you there. Those are just a few of my favorites but overall I give Intermezzo a...

âI love life a little more every single time I walk through those doors and i do truly mean thatâ
Keep it up guys... itâs kinda hard saying that because then I make it seem like itâs an act or a show but itâs really not.
Itâs just a very relaxing, social and fun place when everyone and I mean everyone can have a good...
