DONT COME HERE!! I had some food with My Wife and by the time it was time to go to bed an hour after I had checked in I moved the blankets, and there was blood all over my mattress, despite asking for a refund, he kept refusing. I asked for a manager or owner And was denied their information. The only offer he gave me was to switch to another room, but it was the same thing’ blood on the side of the mattress. There’s lots of homeless people in the front doing drugs and screaming at 4:30 in the morning please don’t come here with your kids or come here at all, he then lied about how he wasn’t the manager of the motel when he was and he said that if I wanted to speak to an owner, I can speak to him later on a different day. I refused to do that because I already knew he was just playing games’ he did not care about our situation and kept making things up to excuse their filthy dirty rooms. The fridge was completely dirty’ sink had old used toothpaste that someone had spat out and wasn’t cleaned’ the shower had some bugs either way. the shower head would hit the toilet regardless of where u aimed it’ no we did not take showers here’ we checked in at 8:50 and came downstairs to ask for refund at 10 after we had our food’ we didn’t start investigating for stains and filth until we were done eating and getting ready for bed’ he then said bc we took to long’ we can’t get a refund’ I then asked if I can have his managers number and he took offense and asked if he can have my mothers number’ I was very mad about what he had said and exchanged some words’ he then apologized but couldn’t give us our refund’ I needed their number to file a lawsuit for no refund on a not clean or even livable room’ but he refused to give us our refund. Don’t come here’ they false advertise’ I don’t know why they have a picture of the bridge and some lake’ but that’s not what ur able to see or anything like that around there’ its around the ghetto everyone doing drugs and screaming all night’ the rooms stink like heroin and he swears like nobody smokes in the rooms. The nerve of his wife as well’ to give me and my wife the dirtiest room in they’re whole hotel’ not only that’ it was the smallest room they had’ with no tv working either way’ so what am paying for? I don’t understand I can’t even brush my teeth or even walk barefoot on the ground bc it’s so damn dirty. His wife took advantage of my wife and I bc we are young. PLEASE DONT COME HERE!! There was also no parking’ I had to pay for parking at a public parking spot that charged me $51’ you also get a ticket for parking right in front of the building overnight even though the manager had told me I can park there. I got a ticket when I woke up. I had to park my car in a public parking spot and paid $51 to leave it overnight. We then walked to the hotel. After I had already decided to get a refund, I went to go retrieve my car Before I asked for a refund so I can be ready and leave. When I was retreating my car, the worker of the public parking space had asked me why I wasn’t staying overnight, and I had told him that I needed a refund from the hotel because of their filth. He then said that that was not the first time that had happened to another person. I then parked in front of the building. And tried getting my refund but I did not get it. My wife and I chose another room which was not any different just bigger and we used our own blankets that we had to go buy from the store. PLEASE DONT...
Read moreCleanliness: There are a few homeless people in front of the hotel. The sidewalk is cleaned every day, but unfortunately it is not that clean. The reception is quite small, and there is also a small niche for breakfast. Everything is clean. The stairwell is cleaned every day, but unfortunately it is slightly dirty, especially in the afternoon. The rooms themselves are clean, but every now and then you find a bit of dust in one corner or another that has been overlooked. You can always let them know that you want room service, and then the bed or towels will be made. There was a little bit of mold in the shower, but I don't think that's a big deal. The toilet and sink were fine.
Room: The room is quite small, but sufficient for a short vacation for two people. The room itself has no wardrobe and hardly any options for storing things and suitcases. There is a microwave and a small refrigerator, unfortunately directly opposite the bed, so you can't sleep well because of the humming of the refrigerator. We unplugged the refrigerator. There is also a TV, as well as a table, a chair and a bedside table. The rooms are to the left and right of the hallway, so you don't really have a view. The windows all face a light shaft to the next building. Our room had a private bathroom, which was big enough and had a shower. Towels and bed linen were provided. The bed, however, didn't have a thick blanket, just a sheet and a thin blanket. The bed is also a queen-size bed.
Host: Very friendly host. He was available at all times and gave us good tips on places to visit and where to eat. He also got us a garage for our rental car, which meant we could save money. He negotiated the price down to $15 per day. He also asked us every day how we slept and always took care of towels. Really great!
Noise: The walls and ceilings are very thin and unfortunately you can hear everything in this house. You can hear people walking up the stairs or in the hallway and when they are showering or on the toilet. The house and the host can't do anything about this, unfortunately Americans are generally very loud (even when talking on the phone or watching TV) and the houses are all very thinly built. Unfortunately we had to complain to one of our roommates several times, everyone else stuck to the quiet times at night.
Surroundings: Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless people in front of the house and it smells a bit of urine and/or hash. But the homeless are not dangerous. They say hello and get out of the way. You have to watch out for dog droppings on the sidewalks because the sidewalks are not cleaned well. Unfortunately there are few parking spaces in front of the house and these are metered. There are parking garages nearby, but they are very expensive (between $20 and $50 per day). You also have to note that the street is cleaned every morning and all cars have to be removed, anyone who doesn't comply...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin…it was a great price, and we had a bit of an emergency and needed a hotel! Per usual when things are stressed and hectic, we were moving fast and normal details/fine print/etc. WE, well mostly ME 🤦🏻♀️, pay attention to didn’t seem to exist. ||As we were heading to the hotel, I realized I didn’t read one single review before I booked the room. As I was reading, my jaw dropped in horror. I BOOKED US A SMALL POX ROOM WITH COMPLIMENTARY BLACK LUNG AND Syringes on the pillow ?!?? Maybe Shawn would believe hazmat suits were in and I wouldn’t have to fess up to my mistake?!?? Either way we are DOoMeD, we’re locked in! (Due to the fact that booking a hotel online is more iron clad than a fathers chastity belt for his daughter! It’s crazy! Every time I book a room its so much pressure, red pill? blue pill? no going back! ||We arrived and I was in total shock as to what happened next. The fellas that run this hotel and work the desk, seriously could not be kinder or more polite. In a world where customer service is an endangered act, they demonstrated it effortlessly. Truly lovely. Ok, I’m not blind (the shower curtain was….hopefully a Halloween decoration that was not take down?!?! Obviously it’s not the Ritz…but if you want the Ritz go to the Ritz!!!! There were clean towels offered daily as well as maid service, breakfast and coffee in the morning. Not sure what more you could ask for at such a low rate. So I have to wonder about the people that wrote the reviews that about sent me to spaz town…why do the miserable spread misery! This is San Francisco there has always been people on the sidewalk’s in front of business chatting, dancing, selling something, putting up a tent or even spreadin the big guys holy word. So if the “homelessness element” is bothering you this hotel isn’t the problem, you picked the wrong city! Everyone is doing their best, be kind. ||This short novella I have unintentionally put together was in hopes that it will sway anyone’s decision into staying if they aren’t sure! We are check out today, and no complaints from me the last two weeks were comfortably easy. As far as our lodging...
