This was my first time staying there. I've stayed at other Extended Stays, and have never had an issue. But at this Extended Stay - Stay Away from room 113. Since I've only stayed in this room, I can only comment about this room. The room was dirty very dusty. there was some sort of odor, [which the hotel staff said was probably from someone cooking] it's very possible but it was overpowering. the room was a handicapped room, therefore it was a walk into tub which is fine, but there was no place to hang the shower head. it was hanging on the water handle. [the staff again told me it's because it was a handicapped room] and I informed them at made no sense, because a handicapped person couldn't hold the bar, and the shower head, and shower themselves all the same time. but anyway the microwave worked but they had the wrong Carousel in there and your food didn't turn. the toilet paper was not in the toilet paper holder, it was laying on top of a used roll. so the maids didn't bother to change it. I did find some blood spots on one of the pillows. of course that wasn't until the following day. there were some other issues I could go on but I don't want this to be long and drawn-out

Great place to stay! The staff are so kind and ready to help at all times of the day. One time when the cleaning service hadn’t gotten to our room when we ordered it, Gina personally went up to our room & cleaned our room despite it not being her job. It is also very pet friendly to the point that staff give our dogs treats every time they see them!! Staying here feels like home, not a hotel.

The room I got is great. It's clean with a big window to let the light in. The amenities are as advertised. Housekeeping? Well, I don't need the room to be cleaned or bed to be made every day, so I'm fine with the non-service. I love my stay.

We booked into the San Jose/Downtown location at 1560 N 1st St, San Jose, CA 95112 for a few nights and the room we were given, stunk very bad. When we shared this with the desk/clerk/auditor, he did not care and offered some liquid Febreeze. On the 3rd night, we asked if it was possible to get a different room and he finally, but reluctantly put us in a different room. Within the hour I smashed 2 roaches in a well lit room. I gathered one in a cup and brought it to the Desk Clerk. He asked what it was, so I told him. He then said that my wife shouldn't have made the reservation and that it was her fault. I asked him... are you saying it's my wife's fault that there are roaches? This man is rude and has no customer service skills. He will blame the customer for any problem that the motel has. Oh, this is supposed to be a no smoking establishment,Nope. The hallways are filled with the smell of pot quite often and if you share that info, they will say that they shouldn't be doing that and then act like you didn't say anything. We made a report to Extended Stay America and await the reply. I do not believe the reviews here of some stating it's a great place, clean and the service is great. That is a lie. Those reviews have to be friends of the staff or something like that because anyone that is truthful will say otherwise, in fact, it would be safe to say that some of the staff agrees with me because they said it best, there are drug users frequenting the establishment and they trash the place. There is no breakfast as stated. Coffee...a granola bar or Quaker instant oatmeal ..That's a shame. Update: There are at least 3 rooms near us with dogs... not a big deal until one of 'em woke us up at 3 am in the morning barking it's ass off, howling for hours in the morning and the staff won't do anything. All the staff is nice, Ravi the property manager is the one whom made our stay miserable, so we were sent by customer relations to this location at 55 Brokaw, Airport and slipped into extended gay hell. Ricardo screwed up our pricing and our add on day. We confirmed our add on day with Expedia and the night auditor whom confirmed our next day add on as being completed. At 12:50 we heard a knock on our door and a voice shouting "check out!" We went to the front desk and explained our situation and the add on day to which they denied. We were kicked out by the gay power mad Ricardo whom wasn't interested in helping us nor helping the establishment make money. He was only interested in passive aggressive actions used to anger the client so that he could smile and taunt to his hearts desire. We were given the receipt and we left. As we made our way to the parking lot, I noticed the amount of the billing was incorrect. No where did it show our 20% off for the 3 days we stayed. We went back and showed this to Juliet as I got on the phone with customer relations...again. They assured us that Juliet would handle the situation and make sure we would be credited. I was outside waiting for my wife and went back in to find Juliet gone and the little gay man with another girl threatening my wife with further actions. Ricardo said that he was going to make sure that the 20% was not applied and that we would be charged an additional day at 100.00 dollars for leaving late 15 minutes after 1pm. We reminded the brainless Ricardo that he himself authorized our additional 15 minutes and that was because there was no warning that we were going to be told to leave at the last minute when we were assured that an additional day was confirmed by their own night clerk/ auditor. I told Ricardo that this was theft. I called customer relations again and they assured me that Ricardo's threats would not happen and in 3-5 days our 20% would be credited.Still waiting on the credit to our account which shows no actions by this company. Yeah, Happy New Year Extended Stay America and to your untrained, power hungry, gay man-chimp.UPDATE: NOT ONE REPLY FROM UPPER MANAGEMENT (Raima Alvarez) with a promise to REFUND our 420.27. AVOID...

So many things wrong with this place and it began with the first interaction with staff. I walked in to get a room and 2 staff members were speaking about some guests due to come in the next week. I was left standing for a very long time before even being acknowledged and then told they would be with me shortly. They proceeded to speak in depth about these future guests to the point that I now knew the staff had mixed up the names and the dates of the future quest arrivals. They finally decided to help me and I asked for the online rate and was told no, I had to book online for that. Okay, no problem I understand, so I went ahead and booked online while standing in the lobby.

I get to the room and our 2nd bed is a sofa bed, we open it up and it is tiny and does not have any linen. Ok, I call the front desk and they say we can pick up linens at the front desk. No offer to bring it to us, or to make the bed, we did it all ourselves.

I have stayed in extended stays before and this was not even close to the standard I was used to. The kitchen had no dishes, no cutlery, no ice or ice bucket (which was ok since I could not find an ice machine) no coffee pot, no cups or glasses, real or plastic. Nothing in the kitchen this making thr kitchen useless.

The TV stand was broken and leaning at a 25 degree angle and could not be moved to watch TV from the sofa bed, it stood immovable at an askew angle to the main bed.

The complimentary breakfast was coffee, muffins and single oatmeal packets. No bowls, spoons, napkins, milk, cereal, nothing. Just coffee, a few muffin packets and unusable oatmeal. Good thing there was a McDonald's right around the corner. My kids were also a little disappointed the pool and spa were closed.

To top off our stay while inspecting the place upon our departure to be sure we left nothing behind we found a container of Crystal Meth under the bed. Yes, drugs.

What a stay, so glad it was only one night and I was too tired to really do anything about it. Thanks Extended...

Absolutely horrible I was P.O I had booked through Expedia and couldn't get a refund I wanted to take my money and leave first night.room had no shower curtain was told to ask housekeeping in morning there were none available.first called front desk to ask for a coffee pot and coffee had to go downstairs They young lady working clearly did not want to be bothered she handed me just a coffee pot I asked for cups she asked for what I pointed to the coffe pot went back to room to my surprise no coffeee no creamer went back downstairs was told she didn't have any (never bothered to look by the way)day 2 there is no breakfast it's all packaged muffins, granola bars, packets of oatmeal nothing fresh no fruit no juice nothing. So don't go expecting breakfast except a prepackaged snack full of sugar. pool jacuzzi closed nothing mentioned online about it being closed the jacuzzi was one of the reasons along with breakfast were why I booked in the first place. I need my coffee tried again asked for coffee and creamers she handed me two coffee pots yes coffeee pots and cofee grounds yay and a filter again no sugar or creamer they are out so there goes my coffee maybe I'm supposed to rub these two together for magic to happen complimentary shampoo here I go walking downstairs again she handed me shampoo and dish soap I'm done why the heck I was handed dishwasher soap is beyond me. I was so angry I feel they do this on purpose I mean really it's not hard to do the simple things I waisted my money should have just stayed at ghetto motel 6 I mean it's literally what it felt like oh also people who stay here prop the doors open so the doors that keep hotel guest safe are not safe at all people hanging in the hallway guess the staff doesn't even bother to check premises throughout the night not...
