Read moreI can’t believe what happened tonight at M8trix. I was on a winning streak, with nearly $1000 in chips and holding the chip leader position at the table. There was this one hand where I had nuts, with only three players remaining. The first two players raised, and I went all-in, pushing my cards forward slightly. The dealer then gave me the all-in marker, next player also all in,I remember by then my card was still there and I didnt move my card, but after about a second of looking at the last player,I realized my cards had been taken by the croupier. The last players also went all-in, and despite my cards being taken away, I was forced to match their bets with $400. I asked to review the surveillance footage to understand exactly what happened and if I had made any mistakes, but the casino refused, saying it as private property. It doesn’t make sense why the dealer would intentionally take my cards when I am currently all in and no one ever folded in this round. And it’s completely unfair that I had to match the bets of other players with my all-in marker but my cards being taken away. Afterwards, I attempted to record some conversation to protect my rights in the future, their security manager was angry and kept tracking me and captured my license plate information. This has left me feeling incredibly unsafe and vulnerable now
"Yes, it's my fault for not protecting my hand properly.” But they refused to show me the surveillance and tracking afterwards."
“But I remember, from my all-in to the next player's all-in, to seeing the next player's all-in, I didn't touch my cards at all. It's only possible that my cards weren't protected properly all the time, but why did croupier take my cards after I received my all-in marker? If she had taken them earlier, I wouldn't have lost an extra 400."
The croupier also asked me in the previous few rounds, "Is this your first time at the casino?" I said yes. In the earlier rounds, when I was only betting a few tens of dollars, she did remind me to protect my hand. But I was a bit lazy earlier, playing phone at the same time and not paying attention, and nobody was ever taking...
Read moreThey KICKED ME OUT for taking the attached photo of their CAFE!! Once I took the photo, a security guard came and said I can't take photos. When I said there are no signs about that anywhere, he said there are signs everywhere (later, a manager confirmed that there are absolutely no signs but also said they don't need any signs!). Then he said I must be banned and leave. I said fine, I'm leaving anyway and he said he won't let me leave before I delete the photo. I asked for his manager who also said the same thing. I told them to call the cops for that, and had to explain to them that even cops won't be able to unlock my phone without a court order and search warrant, and that even if they came, the casino staff will be more in trouble than I for charges of extortion and false detainment that are serious crimes. Only then they let me go. I understand if a casino wants to disallow photography (many even in Vegas don't), but then they have to put signs with house rules, and only for taking photos of people playing at the tables, not the CAFE!! The shift manager was Mr. SHAROD A. ODEN #3686 and he APPROVED of all the conduct of the security team. These guys must be held accountable for what they do. On a different note, their restaurant took 20 minutes to bring my food and even then brought the wrong order. Never will step in this shady...
