I'm not one to leave bad reviews online, but I just had a super strange and unpleasant experience at this Starbucks. I ordered one coffee and an extra cup (made sure to order the extra cup before paying so I could be charged for it). The person that was ringing me up I believe is the manager. She was extremely (and very strangely) passive aggressive as I ordered the extra cup-- she furrowed her brow, stared directly at me with this long odd pause without saying anything for several seconds, and brushed her hands together as she dramatically turned away to get the coffee-- it was almost as if she was seeming to insinuate that I was trying to get away with something. I was so perplexed that I thought surely I was misunderstanding something, so I brushed it off.
When she handed me the coffee and extra cup, I politely asked for a lid. She then in a very irritated tone, oozing with passive aggressiveness, told me that "we don't do these sorts of things...but I guess it's fine this time". I was still very confused and had no idea why asking to buy an additional cup was a problem. I told her I was happy to buy the cup and wasn't asking for anything free, and she said "I can't do that" (what??) and continued to act as if I was stealing something. It was so incredibly strange and unsettling. I still have no clue what her problem was, but it was so unpleasant, that I won't return to this Starbucks.
I strongly urge upper management at this Starbucks to review this with this employee, as this incident really was completely inappropriate. If there is some policy against customers purchasing an extra cup (which I highly doubt is a thing), she could have...
Read moreI came in and ordered an iced quad expresso with 3 pumps of white mocha with lavender foam. My total came out to be $6.10. I gave the cashier girl a $20. My change should be $13.90. Yet for some reason she only gave me $13.50. How hard is it to prompt the amount the customer gave you on the computer and it tells you EXACTLY how much you should give back?! I stood there for a while because she is too stupid to figure out how to open the drawer to give me back my correct change. So I just said put the change in the tip jar. Then the barista that made my drink didn’t make it correctly. She gave me a quad expresso iced with a more milky looking foam on top. I asked if it was my drink because I showed her that there was no white mocha. She says she will remake my drink. I watched her pump only 2 pumps of white mocha, and the lavender foam isn’t even lavender. I question if she really put in 4 shots because the level of espresso looks like my normal order of 3 shots. Needless to say this store’s district manager should retrain those two employees because they are clearly incompetent at their job. I only say this because I used to be a starbucks employee and I know what it takes to make a drink and ring someone up. Not hard. Oh, also if you want to confirm my story, Starbucks you can check your cameras and see. I came in at 918am Sunday March 24. I also wish I could take back my tip. Moving forward, I urge everybody to tip after you have received your drinks/food. This is just to ensure better customer service and that your drink is made correctly. After all, your coffee...
Read moreUnfortunately, I believe that Starbucks Corporation has forgotten what business they are in. They had to fire their CEO and get a new one. If you go into a Starbucks and order a coffee drink you might expect that you would be able to customize it to the way you like. In many cases you would be wrong. Starbucks no longer puts coffee fixings out for customer's to add to their coffee drinks. This location was worse than typical. I really like to shake some cocoa powder over the foam of my cappuccino or latte. When I asked the Barista for some, she said they no longer stock that product. Espresso coffee drinks are clearly a luxury product and the buyer should be able to conveniently customize them to their individual preference. I think that the financial managers at Starbucks corporate are cutting back stupidly. Starbucks will continue to shrink and will be a small shadow of its former self. Luckily, I normally make my espresso drinks at home. Also, this week a friend stopped by and complained to me that he ordered a coffee at another Starbucks and they did not have creme to add to his coffee when he asked. I know that I can mix powdered sugar 50% with cocoa powder at home. I am normally self sufficient without help from Starbucks--too bad that Starbucks has...
