Went there for cumbia night. First off, they were selling tickets for the event online and me thinking you need a ticket to get in bought one. Once there, they were not checking tickets or anything, I paid for nothing. Then at the bar, it took 30 minutes, 30 MINUTES to get the attention of a bartender. She tells me I am next, after a group of people that got there way after me. Then the bar manager or whoever he was comes up to me to ask me what I want, I give him my order and he looks around for the bottle I wanted, goes to the other side of the bar and just starts serving people on the other side of the bar leaving me unattended again. He comes back around and make the busser take my drink order, who just leaves. Finally the original bartender came back after like 20 minutes and finally asks me what my order was. She begins to prepare it which was another 20 minutes of watching an inexperienced, unorganized person fumble around the bar. Finally, she finishes my order and for which I had to pay for some overpriced drinks. At this point I am very frustrated, I sign the receipt and never got my card back. Out of frustration I did not even realize she didn’t give me my card back until I left. Worst experience ever. Do not go here for any event and especially don’t pay for a ticket...
Read moreHello,
I have been trying to get in touch with someone that can assist me with a possible corporate event hosted at your restaurant. When I stopped by your restaurant in late August, I had the pleasure of meeting Janeth Renteria, who seemed eager to assist in planning this event with me. I mentioned to her that I would not be able to officially start on any planning until I received our budget for this event, which would be towards the end of October/early November.
Unfortunately, she has not been responding to my email inquiries or returned any of my calls. I have also called the restaurant and on some days, I am unable to reach anyone at all. When I do get a live person, they inform me that she is still with the company but not in at the moment. Additionally, there seems to be no dedicated email for me to send my inquiries to, which is why I am reaching out through this method.
It is disappointing that I am trying to give your company business but am having a hard time getting in touch with someone who is willing to assist me. Your location is the most convenient for my corporate event that I am trying to host this month, but I will explore other options if I do not hear back from your team soon.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your...
Read moreThe Province is not some place you visit for food. It is a restaurant attached to the Bay 101 casino and folks that might be hungry while playing might visit to quickly satiate their hunger. Had I know this was attached to a casino, I wouldn't have reserved and visited.
The atmosphere isn't bad but again, you have this loud, dark, a bit gloomy feel. High ceilings, faux Chinese decor, semi-club, semi-bar, atmosphere. Again, considering this serves a casino, exactly what you'd imagine. This place just isn't set up for enjoying food or a conversation.
Food is just terrible, especially for the price point. Again, you don't go to the Province for food. Halibut was bland to the bone. Tacos were served with condiments most likely bought from Costco. I don't blame them. Just that I had different expectations. It is literally cafeteria food.
The fact that I have been to Province for a meal already is a great story to tell. Of course, won't be returning for any...
