Best damn Pho in San Jose, guaranteed! Been going to this location for a few years now & have never left the place dissatisfied. Service is quick, friendly & professional. It's a small, quiet & comfortable setting with tv's on the wall for those who like to watch tv while they eat. The place is kept nice & clean. The food is prepared perfect & the beef pho is always cooked to perfection! I know there's a lot of pho places out there & everyone claims they're the best but, I have tried a lot of them! Until I found this pho place called Pho Bel-Aire, used to be Pho-Viet. Though the name was changed the menu & flavorful pho menu remained. A bit disappointed in the price of the prices of their pho but, as good as it is I don't mind paying a couple extra bucks for a good bowl. Give it a try & I am pretty confident that where ever you go for your pho, you'll end up making the switch to a better that is Pho everyone!😉 Oh yeah! If you're into gambling on them card tables, you'll be happy to know that this place is conveniently located between the new Bay 101 & The Matrix! So, after you line them pockets with your winnings, go fill that stomach with a hot bowl of pho then hit the tables again cuz the pho bel aire is open till midnight to conveniently...
Read moreVietnamese food has been my favourite since our first of many trips to Vietnam years ago. So i never decline an offer to try a Vietnamese restaurant. I was looking forward to going to Pho Belair with friends for lunch yesterday. But it was an incredibly huge disappointment. The food was horrible. Maybe the regular chef was away? We saw only one harried lady in the kitchen. The spring rolls were rolled in plastic wrap and tasted like they'd been wrapped that way for a long time. Could barely peel off the plastic . The vegetable pho was just ok, but the seafood phos were insipid - absolutely tasteless. Essentially a bowl of hot water. The shrimp, tiny morsels of squid and bits of fake crab in it were rubbery. I suspect they were frozen, then defrosted and/or dumped into the broth. The rice and the egg noodles were clumped together in a single gooey mass. The waiter never came to check on us, was pretty much mia. Had to ring the desk bell a few times to get the bill. It's unlikely we'll return. Fortunately there are so many better, much much better, other VN restaurants...
Read moreWhat a great spot and location right next to the Hotel. I did a take out order and had the Pho, spring rolls, and egg rolls. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I was arriving about 5 minutes early, and I received a text that my order was ready. I entered the shop and I was met by a very friendly staff and he truly seemed grateful that I chose his place of business. He handed me a menu before seating me and I told him I had a pick-up order. He immediately found it and gave it to me with huge smile and a bow. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. The portion was big and the price was very good especially for California. It was the best Asian food and food service I have had since my time I spent in China. Don't pass this small shop up, it...
