UPDATE** for some reason it will not let me upload the other pictures, i will try again later. IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE AREA AND ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY...PLEASE READ! I was traveling and made plans to stay in San Jose, have never been so I did my research before hand, or so i thought, I guess no bad reviews doesn't mean that it's a good place to stay, the photos I've attached are from when we checked in, its an upgraded motel but its also a dirty one, where do I begin? The counter had water spots on it which can easily be removed by wiping it with a rag (they clearly didn't even bother cleaning the simplest thing in the room), the toilet paper hadn't been changed, the toilet seat had hair on it, the shower was disgusting, and the curtain was also stained, the pillows had hair on them. the wood floors seem like they have never been swept or mopped, I had to wear my sandals the entire stay and lay towels down where i had to step without them, the bedside table had crumbs on it, just disturbing! After thoroughly cleaning the room myself (glad we traveled via car and I brought my own bedding and lysol wipes!)The first day we had plans to explore the city and when we came back that evening our keys didn't work, we went to the office and they said it was a misunderstanding with billing, after that was resolved we got to our room and the beds were not made, no new towels were provided, no trash emptied, just how we left it, I didn't even think they provided housekeeping...until the next day, we left early again and came back in the evening, our keys didn't work AGAIN, (I was ready to leave but would have been charged for the room anyway), went to office and they had to re activate, didn't offer any apologies or anything (no big deal I guess)...then we got to our room to find only 1 bed made, the other was how we left it (messy) and garbage taken out and new towels provided, obviously they have selective housekeeping... I will NEVER return to this motel 6, this would have been an amazing stay had our room been cleaned properly and housekeeping done their job right, I hope this helps other travelers who don't know the area and...
Read moreHotel staff very nice however they should have told me after check in that the water was to be shut off and I could not use the shower and missed my train to San Francisco as a result after I explained at check in that I had flown in all the way from Tampa, Florida to have dinner in San Francisco that night with family and then coming back that night to the Gold Cup Final in Santa Clara the next day. I went to take my shower after unpacking only to have no water and I called the front desk and was told it should be off about 20-30 minutes which was already enough to make me miss my trains. Finally, after an hour and still no water I called again and had to request to use another room to shower which I was allowed to do. Again, I flew coast to coast to meet family for dinner in San Francisco and was delayed significantly as a result and also incurred additional expense as I had to pay for a taxi instead of using my Clipper Card on the light rail to make the next train not to mention the loss of time and inconvenience. The next morning there was drilling of some kind making a loud noise in the room next to mine or what sounded as if it was in the room next to mine and I was awaken by same and then disturbed further when trying to work in my room. I could have dealt with both situations and we could have solved both problems easily if I was simply told about these items as a courtesy. For the time and added expense and inconvenience of the water problem I could have stayed elsewhere for the same price I paid with the additional expense and lost time etc. I incurred as a result of the water being shut off. In spite of the construction and nearby traffic my room (217) was not horribly noisy due to the traffic or construction it was noisy as a result of the drilling or whatever it was in the adjacent room. The location was convenient to Airport, Light Rail and Levi's Stadium etc. and there is a Denny;s next door and a convenience...
Read moreThis place shouldn't be in business. First, we arrived to find out reservation that we made 3 days in advance, was no longer in the computer. We were told we had to wait to get another room until 11:10 pm. We arrived there at 3:30 pm. When we finally got our room, there was a homeless man sleeping on the walk way blocking the entrance to our room. We went to the office and the woman working was incredibly rude and asked me if the homeless man had done anything to me. I said no. However, he's blocking our door way. She then said, "So, what's the problem then?" I just walked back to my room. The man was gone because my husband asked him to move along. When we got into our room, the room was filthy. I mean, filthy. The floors were dirty, old food left in the refrigeratorthe doors and wls were dirty, the bathroom had no toilet paper and the tub and shower was so dirty. The worst of all, under the side table next to the bed on the floor my 11 year old son, found what I researched a bit to find out was a glass pipe used to smoke crack cocaine. We couldn't believe this. I went to our car to bring what cleaning supplies we happened to have with us and I was stopped by a guy asking me if I wanted to buy some crystal meth. Going back to our room, again I was stopped by another man in his car asking me if I was working and offered me money to have sex with him. At this point I'm in tears. Because of the late hour, we stayed locked in our room until the next day. We left without hesitation. 2 days early. We didn't even ask to cancel. We just got out of that place. This was a very unsafe and dirty place. I will never be staying at this Motel 6 or any other...
