I loved this place right from the moment I walked in. We arrived at night after the staff was gone but the little baking fairy left us some treats. The place was cozy, it had a nice aroma, it was very clean, and our room was charming. The next morning, breakfast with the chef, assistant, and two owners- a father and daughter team. They were all so friendly. We loved chatting with them. One morning we had a make-your-own-burrito breakfast. This was my breakfast of choice! No onions, too! It was Santa Fe style. If you have trouble adjusting to the thin air of the high altitude then this place was perfect because it wasn't far from the shops and restaurants, close to a small hiking trail, we had a front and back entrance, and it was so comfortable that we could just stay in when we were tired. I enjoyed how none of the staff once knocked on our door! If you need a towel, no problem, you can get one from the staff. Nobody bothers you, you just get a wonderful holiday to yourself. Coffee in the morning is freshly roasted. About every two days a roaster brings the beans ready to brew. You probably won't see that at a hotel! We stayed for 5 days and we were sad to leave. For sure, I would stay here again- especially at that price! We rode into town by the Rail Runner, which was $4 from ABQ for students!! You can walk from the train station to the Inn but we called for a Lyft, which was maybe $5. NOTE: It's strange to see anything less than a 5 star for this place but I believe the negative reviews were for the old owners. Book when you can because the...
Read moreThe inn is clean and conveniently located near the Plaza, the room was nice and cozy. Breakfast was fresh, generous and original, and the two young girls who served it were sweet, asked us how it was. Our issues were 1. Our queen bed was really a double bed and 2. The "view" was facing a small dark patio for other rooms and a parking lot fence, and located right below their kitchen (footsteps starting early). When I asked the receptionist who took us to our room if they had something with a better view, her reply was "we're full, that that's what one gets with last minute reservations" ... only problem with that statement is, we made this reservation a month prior to arrival .. hardly last minute. Besides, she still had 5 keys on her desk waiting for guests, so it would have been easy to switch us. I have low tolerance for bs. When we checked out, that same receptionist took the key and never asked how our stay was or anything. Had it not been for the depressing "view" and her handling of my concern, I would have...
Read moreWe were quoted on price on Expedia and when we arrived, we were told it was going to be $100 more and they wouldn't honor the quoted price and were rude. Told me to figure it out with Expedia. Due to the principle of it and the owners not honoring a quoted price, we cancelled our two night reservation as it just wasn't enjoyable at that point going back and forth with Expedia and the inn staff. Expedia was willing to refund us most of the deposit, however, not only did the owner of the inn refuse to refund anything, they ALSO charged us for BOTH nights when we aren't even staying there. It has put a HUGE stress on our Christmas and I am incredibly upset. My kids are extremely upset as we were so excited to enjoy our time in Santa Fe. I would never ever EVER recommend this inn to anyone purely out of principle. You don't treat people that way and especially not during the holidays. Very...
