I am actually glad there are so many bad reviews about the sales associate/owner working at this cute boutique!! Absent these reviews, which are consistent with my experience of the store, I would have truly believed I was being racially targeted and attacked.
I came to Santa Fe on business and after a full day of traveling to get here, I decided to grab a bite to eat and walk around. I see this lovely shop and as I walk in I get a call from my assistant. As my assistant and I catch up, I hear this lady very rudely tell âthe ownerâ she is talking on her phone so she is obviously not going to buy anything!!!
I was so offended at her tone and at the fact that she would just plainly talk about me without even approaching me to try to help me!! I had already spotted a sweater and a shawl that I liked.
So I approached her and nicely asked her why was she talking about me and how did she know I wasnât going to buy anything? I explained that I spent the day traveling and I was discussing business with my assistant. She immediately responded with a sarcastic comment âtalking to your assistant from 7000 altitude? Stay hydrated!â She looked at me in a demeaning manner and I decided to leave the store and not give them my business!!
As I was leaving, she sat down in a rocking chair and started yelling at me âgo back home!â âI am not in the mood for you today!â âGo pick a fight somewhere elseâ
I am still in shock and outraged. I guess I find comfort in knowing that I am not alone.

Read moreI would echo others about a weird experience. I came in and actually had an immediate connection with the sales associate. Pretty quickly I picked out something for purchase, but indeed the experience was rather erratic and I didn't feel I could just look around but had to be guided or tell her what I wanted (I don't know that until I see it - it's called browsing and I literally just drove into Santa Fe that minute to tour the shops and walk around). We had an engaging conversation which she turned sexual a couple of times - which I found offputting. Then, after the completing the purchase, in the most odd way, she basically threw me out of the store. She said something about not "being a part of the collective consciousness or something" and having to do some Excel thing for the owner. Maybe she was pissed because I didn't accept her advances? I also know that she overcharged me for the item. There was a pair of earrings, a ring and a pendant, all basically the exact same setting and stone (glass) of identical size. I purchased the pendant which had no price tag for $120, but the ring had a tag for $74? I wanted it for my wife's birthday and the lady was so strange, I didn't bother, just paid it. Disappointing because I actually connected with the gal on so many other levels. Maybe mental illness...yeah, that could be it. If so,...
Read moreBizarre experience. I stopped to look at some beautiful hanging clothing displays on the porch. I loved the patterns.
The sales associate came out and said something to the effect of âyou canât come in; we canât have peeing in the storeâ.
I turned around (confused by the weird/unwelcome energy), to go back down the steps. I realized she was referring to my small Dachshund.
Then the sales associate remarked âenjoy Santa Feâ, dripping with sarcasm.
I hope the owner reads this review. Itâs a shame because I love the Nureteka style, textiles and patterns.
The sales associate just didnât seem right in the head. Something very âoffâ and erratic. I might go back if the...
