Incredible collection but the experience was incredibly off putting. I am always polite and respectful when I am in a gallery space. I decided to discreetly but not secretly take a photo of a painting and was interrupted by an older man with mid-length white hair. He told me we couldn’t take photos. I understood that and had no problem with it. But I did ask if I had missed a sign or notice stating this policy. I asked because if I had seen it I would have known that it was not appropriate. He abruptly and rudely replied “well I’m telling you now”. The tone of his response was obviously passive aggressive and as a result I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there. The other man who was working there was kind and responsive when I commented on how impressed I was with the collection. The older man who had been rude just gave me a blank cold stare as I left.
