First, the charged my card before I ever got there. They charged the full amount. I thought it was weird because no one’s ever done that before. The front desk lady was rude and couldn’t look like she hated her life more. There was so many signs and little rules all over the plastic hanging between you and front desk. Most importantly being that you have to call them 5 minutes before you check out so they can come up to the room and look at it. By the way, there is no phone in the rooms. Thankfully, the front desk person in the morning was very nice and told me not to worry about it. I think he was the owner. We got a physical key and it didn’t lock the deadbolt, just the handle. The door locking mechanism was wobbly and had definitely been kicked in before. Didn’t feel very safe there, though nothing happened. Honestly, if I had known they had weekly rates, I wouldn’t have stayed here. I was also surprised that there weren’t any bugs in my room. That’s not something you’re usually happy about at a hotel. I do like that the check in was at 3:00 pm and check out was at 11:00 am because most places are 4:00 pm and 10:00 am. And the AC was on the far wall where the closet was, as far from the bed as you could get. It was so hot in there that we decided to leave it going, then get something to eat and hoped it cooled the room down by the time we got back.

Overall I must say this is a very nice m management is awful. I work in Sarasota so I hop from otel to hotel finding the best place available at the time. My first visit there was pleasant except for the fact that that their claim to offer free wifi only applies to the Siesta Inn side of the place. Cynthia argued with me that I was not putting in the password correctly. I showed her that I was indeed connected to their wifi but when I walked to the Family Inn side of the motel it wasn't in range and would automatically disconnect. She refused to believe that I knew what I was talking about and even walked with me and when she saw it disconnect she said it was my phone. Anyone who knows about Wi-Fi knows how that works. I tried to explain to her but to no avail. She was willing to offer me another room on the Siesta Inn side where the Wi-Fi was in range. My second visit she put me back on the family inn side and again the Wi-Fi didnt work. This time she became very argumentative with me and said that I was trying to cause problems and she even accused me of taking pictures of her when I was just trying to show her that my Wi-Fi was disconnected she called me a liar and she argued me that that was trying to get a better room. She told me that I could get a room somewhere else or take the room without the Wi-Fi. Since I already ran my card with her I chose to stay the night there and went to my room for the night. So attempting to stay there a third time I was told that I was barred from being in the motel. I asked her why that was and she said that I was the one that caused problems and took pictures of her. I never took any pictures of her and I never complained other than about the Wi-Fi I always picked up my room and I checked out before check out time I have stayed in other hotels in that neighborhood and I've heard things about this lady from other guests who have stayed there before. She has zero people skills and she should be fired. The owners of this place seem to be very nice and my room was always very nice with upgrades throughout. Its too bad that they have someone greeting their guests with this poor excuse for service. I did absolutely nothing to be barred from this motel. When I asked her to show me my name on the list she simply said go! Go! Go! Its too bad because I really like the motel and their rates are usually the best in town but first...

If you want to be eaten alive stay at this hotel. My husband and I had the most horrible experience of our lives. As you enter the smell of mold with a mixture of cigarette smoke hits you. The floors are dirty, bathroom tub rusty, cracked and the faucet falling apart. The toilet seat to small for the toilet bowl,, when u sit on the toilet it shakes and I'm 125lbs. Omg we were fighting with bed bugs and roaches from the moment we got into the bed. Bed bugs were all over us, only one channel works on the TV, no remote, night lamp constantly flicking. We finally went to front office to make complaints and didn't get proper response. Into our 1st half hour the bed bugs were coming out of the bed by their large numbers, we couldn't take it anymore and pack our stuff up. We took a few bugs up to the front office and ask for our money back. They decided to give us 50% of our money in return for the proof. We took it and RAN!!! You better off sleeping in homeless shelter or your car! It's horrible! The health department needs to shut this...
