Beware of Alligator signs were put up during our stay. Guest need to know about this at booking & at front desk! We have young children! We booked 2 rms (1 for us and 1 for our young children & daughter on break from college) & we booked the rooms close to each other (a King disabled & Queen disabled). The clerk 1st told my husband the rooms were on different floors & she had nothing else. The mgr had to be called, & we were put into 1 unkempt Queen disability room across from 1 reg Queen rm. The disability rm had 1 bd, was rather dirty & in need of repairs esp. in the bathrm i.e., cracked sink, something on bathroom wall, old rusted picture frames with one looking like toothpaste saliva was on it. The bathtub had tiny hairs on on its corner, above the bathroom door were myriad brown spots/stains, and the toilet was unstable as well as a mess around the bottom. The room hvac was faulty and the room had a strong "damp' smell (I have pics). We checked in resv for 2 nights. On day 2, the Maid was in our rooms w/o our asking when we went out as she changed towels and emptied garbage throwing away utility bags we had brung & layed across the recycling bin. I would have moved them had I known she was going to be in our rooms w/o notice. And I would have asked that she make the beds bc she didn't. There was also a strong damp smell when we returned from our out as if someone had used a wet-vac with old smell water and not dried carpet. A yellow cleaning rag was left on the bathroom sink in our children's room. Upon checking out, I asked for 2 white rewards bags behind the front desk, but the clerk refused my request & said she didn't see a rewards plan for us, nor did she offer us one, though I told her I thought we had signed up when we booked. This was the same front desk clerk that was untruthful with my husband about the rooms when we checked in.

My son & I had crossed over from Florida to Georgia earler in the day and wandered what was going to confront us in the new State. Well, as we eased in to the free car parking space at this hotel we read the signpost ahead "Beware of Alligators. Do not: Approach or Feed". Fair enough. Hint taken... So we gingerly walked into the reception area and checked in. The lady was very friendly and helpful, supported by a gentleman who reassured us that most of the alligators were in the lake at the other side of the hotel. Anyway, we were checked into Room 308 which had two comfortable queen sized beds and all the usual mod cons you expect in hotels of this type. That means, a flat screen telly, enough plugs for all our essential electrical equipment, free WiFi that worked, fridge, microwave, coffee making machine and a separate bathroom with a shower in the tub. All good. Breakfast was included in our room rate but I don't remember much about it other than noticing that everything was wrapped up in plastic. I mean everything. In my home country, Germany, that just would not be possible. As for the location, this met our needs for visiting the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force and then, on checking out, to drive further in to Savannah. Perfect.

The hotel is located within a mile from I-95, Walmart, and Sam’s. Two or three miles down the road is Tanger outlet, many places to eat, and everything in between. The hotel sits across from a golf course and a nice lake. The room was very clean, spacious, and relaxing. The bed was soft, the pillows were fluffy, and the bathroom looked good. We enjoyed every night of our stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. I had an issue where my room card wouldn't work, however, I was informed I left my room cards near my phone which demagnetized the room cards. There is an ice machine next to the elevator which was very convenient. My only gripe was the breakfast, it's nothing special to celebrate over, but it wasn't bad. Breakfast ends at 10AM and they stopped adding food around 9:25AM, and people had to eat what was left. When it ran out, they never added anything back. The lady who was in control of the food looked in the empty containers and closed them, but never added any extra food. Luckily for us we ate before the food ran out.

I blocked 15 rooms for a family reunion over the Labor Day weekend. Not sure how this hotel received a 3.9 rating. It is absolutely HORRIBLE!

Let me start with our check in experience. It was apparent that we were checking in during shift change and the clerk that was getting off was more concerned with getting out the door than with helping the customers at the front desk. At check in – the guest in my block was assigned 4 different rooms before finally getting one that was acceptable. The 1st room already had a guest in it, the 2nd room assigned wasn’t clean (sheets & towels were on the floor), the next 2 rooms had bug problems. Had another guest in my block that was also assigned a room and walked in on a man shaving.

The cleaning staff is super inadequate and very unprofessional. Some rooms did not receive service on one or more days of our stay but was marked as being serviced in the system. We observed at least one member of the cleaning staff that had their children with them while working – the entire weekend of our stay.

The hotel ran out of clean towels. The front desk stated that they do not do laundry on the weekend (meaning they do not wash sheets or towels) and that all of their towels were used by another large group that had just checked out before our stay. We were never told that the staff didn’t have adequate linen or towels until later in the evening when we asked about the status of our rooms being cleaned. How ridiculous is it to run a hotel where the policy is to NOT wash linen or towels on the weekend!

The front desk clerks had no interest in making our stay comfortable or enjoyable. And if any issues came up during shift change – FORGET ABOUT IT! There was no accountability at all by any of the front desk clerks. While I was standing at the front desk, a “B” rated celebrity was checking in. After he got his room key and walked away – the front desk clerk realized “who he was” and started yelling (YES – yelling) at him as he crossed the balcony on the 2nd floor to come down and take a picture with her.

The food served for breakfast during Labor Day weekend was disgusting. The bagels had mold on it and the waffle batter was sour. The General Manager, Jennifer, stated that the green stuff on the bagels was green dye! I’ve never laughed so hard at such a crazy response – the “dye”, as the GM tried to tell us it was, was GREEN & FUZZY! Never seen fuzzy dye. When asked why would there be green dye in their prep area, no one from the hotel had a response.

This particular location is privately owned AND YOU CAN TELL! All of the staff was very unprofessional; the maid staff, the front desk clerks, the general manager – EVERYONE, except two staff members that saw all of the issues we were having and tried to make things right. However, they could only do so much especially since they didn’t have the full support of the GM.

I reached out to corporate to attempt to get resolution but corporate would not step in because the hotel is privately owned and the GM (Jennifer) responded with providing discounts to 4 of the 15 rooms that were booked in my block. All the guests in the 15 rooms had issues but the GM only offered discounted rate at a future stay at the same hotel! Why in the world would we want to stay at this location again!

I absolutely do NOT...

0 stars. DO NOT STAY HERE. Long review but you should read. ||Myself, husband, sister, my two year old little girl and our baby nephew were on the way from the panhandle in FL, (where we live), to the coast of NC for our cousins wedding when we decided to stay in Savannah for the night. We booked a 2 queen bed room for the night after seeing the photos (looked clean). We called prior notifying front desk that we will be getting in around 1AM and we did.. we checked in online & received our key cards to the room. Once we walked into the room, it was extremely below par, the beds were made and the towels were replaced however, it smelled awful, there was something on the light switch that resembled blood or maybe food, there was a pile of soaking wet, used towels in the tub with the faucet dripping on them. The floors were disgusting, the shower had pink mold around the edges, the bottom of the tub was obviously dirty, there were two bugs on the walls as soon as we walked into our room; it was disgusting. We talked to the nice woman at the front desk and she moved us to a "suite" downstairs however, it was still dirty even though they were "cleaned" and "brand new" by housekeeping. Shocker, your brand new home can be atrocious if you don't know how to use bleach and a scrub brush, correctly.||We notify front desk that we are going to leave and get a new room at Drury down the road. We sat in the room finding and booking a new room at Drury hotel down the road. She let us know that we would most likely get a refund and that she was sorry. We called the manager this morning, she argued with us saying that the rooms were cleaned and insinuated that we used the rooms only to leave 15 minutes later and ask for a refund. MEANWHILE, it is 1:30 in the morning and we are traveling with two BABIES. She kept going on and on about how they were clean and we were lying just to use the room even though, I wouldn't dare think of taking a shower without shoes on LOL much less, touch anything. I told her it was F'ing disgusting and if thats what she considers "clean" then I feel sorry for her if thats how she lives. She offers us HALF of what we paid even though we didn't stay there for more than 30 mins while booking a new hotel OR use any of the facilities.. and she then tells me to get a job and hangs up. AGAIN, insinuating that we didn't want to pay as we walk in with our Delsey luggage that we just got out of our brand new VW with 4 carat diamonds on our fingers. COMICAL. IF YOU WANT TO ACT LIKE WE WANTED A HANDOUT I absolutely will bring materialistic items into it. ||We packed our luggage back into the car, changed the babies and went to the Drury hotel down the road and paid DOUBLE but WOW it was worth it. Cute of them to act like we came in, used BOTH rooms, lied about it just to complain, spend $300 at a different hotel and put a 2 year old and an 8 month old back into a car at 1:30AM. We just don't think we should pay for a hotel room that we didn't sleep in or use. ||I will GLADLY email/fax/USPS the receipt from Drury to corporate to show that we are not homeless and we absolutely can afford...

I rarely write a negative review but here is one. I made reservations for two rooms for 12/31/2021 back around the first of November through Travelocity.  I selected the option to pay at the desk upon arrival. When I arrived the desk clerk said he only had a reservation for one room.   I presented him with a hard copy which showed confirmation numbers for two rooms both under the last name.  He said he would have to get the manager. At that point the front desk manager appeared at the desk with a bad attitude ready for a fight.  I tried to keep the conversation civil and professional but she addressed me in a dismissive and rude manner..  I showed her my two reservation numbers and she said "are they under the same name"?  I advised they were and gave her the last name,  she said she couldn't find it.  I then gave her the first names.  She quickly snapped back at me, "that isn't the same name"!  I advised her it was the same last name and reservations are pulled up by the last name not the first.  She then glared at me in silence as if she wanted to jump over the counter at me. Next, she snapped at me again and said, "that room was cancelled due to a declined card, and we sent you an email telling you that".  I advised her that the day before I left on my trip that my credit card had been compromised and the bank had to send me a new card and cancel the old one and at no point did I receive an email from the hotel or Travelocity alerting me of that, I even checked my SPAM file and there was nothing. I also advised her that should have had nothing to do with my room being cancelled since I selected the option to pay at check in not in advance.  Then I asked her if the reservation was cancelled due to a declined card as she claimed, then why was only one reservation cancelled and not the other since they were under the same card. I couldn't take any more of the rude behavior so I asked for her name, she barked it out and said "and  I'm the front desk manager"!  If this is how this individual addresses customers this is not someone who should be greeting guests upon arrival.  When I finally got a key, I got in the elevator and it reeked of marijuana.  When I arrived in the room the toilet paper roll had four pieces of paper on it and was hanging off the roll with shredded pieces and the toilet seat had some kind of foreign matter on it.  I took photos.  I'll end this by saying the one positive of this hotel was the bed was very comfortable but that didn't cancel out the horrible experience at check in.  Even my elderly parents asked what was wrong with that woman...
